This has been gaining attention these days because of the immense work done by the Computer Vision Community. The main important concept behind this technology is something called as OCR – Optical Character Recognition. With the help of the OCR, we can search and recognize the text in electronic documents and can easily convert them into human readable text. It converts electronic documents’ text into related ASCII character and if the document is a handwritten one, then the OCR uses database to recognize what character it is and try to solve it to its highest accuracy.","PeriodicalId":232624,"journal":{"name":"2019 3rd International Conference on Computing Methodologies and Communication (ICCMC)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131627191","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Patients with chronic breathing problems will have to be monitored at all times. This paper highlights the use of wearable sensors. Existing devices are in the form of a belt or will have to be temporarily attached to parts of the thorax or the nostrils. The proposed shirt houses the sensors as a part of the cloth. This removes the complexities and increases the comfort level for the user. The T-shirt can be used to detect various respiratory disorders like obstructive sleep apnea, asthma, wheezing, cough and sneeze while standing, running and jumping, sleeping and extreme bending.","PeriodicalId":232624,"journal":{"name":"2019 3rd International Conference on Computing Methodologies and Communication (ICCMC)","volume":"40 2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123746958","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

During the distribution of electrical power, different types of conductors, insulators, circuit breakers and relays are used for the protection. Demand for electrical power is increasing day by day. So to increase electrical power generation, different types of Distribute generators are used like solar, wind, tidal, etc. In this work, the wind farm is connected to the grid via long transmission networks. As the complexity increases, probability of fault occurrence increases, which will hamper the consumer service. Concern to the consumer satisfaction, faults should be cleared first. The detection technique should be accurate and intelligent so that it can clear the fault. Artificial neural network technique is an intelligent tool which can clear the fault. In this work, classification of fault is done using ANN in the model. Modeling is done in MATLAB and SIMULINK. The voltage signal is extracted and was given to the ANN as input. The voltage signal is trained and tested with accuracy.","PeriodicalId":232624,"journal":{"name":"2019 3rd International Conference on Computing Methodologies and Communication (ICCMC)","volume":"154 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114164596","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper the path-loss between the Base-Station (BS) and Mobile-Station (MS) for the Received-Signal-Strength (RSS) in different wireless environments is estimated. Non-isotropic antennas are used with different transmitter and receiver gains. A mathematical expression is proposed to compute path loss with antenna gains of 0.5 and 1 by varying the distance up to 1km. Then the path loss is optimized by introducing the path loss component that varies with environment. The path loss component is varied from 2 to 6. The shadowing effect is modelled by log-distance method. In this paper Gaussian random variable is considered with a mean zero and standard deviation is taken as 3dB. Simulation results show the path loss component increases by increasing the gain of antenna. The path loss is also calculated by IEEE 802.16d model and Hata-model. It is observed that as the gain of antenna decreases the path-loss increases and vice-versa. Path-loss also increases by distance and shadowing effects.","PeriodicalId":232624,"journal":{"name":"2019 3rd International Conference on Computing Methodologies and Communication (ICCMC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129528762","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
