Rwanda which is seen as a model of fast development in Africa has set a target of 90% financial inclusion by the year 2020. This target was almost achieved in 2016 where 89% were financially included but only 26% have accounts with commercial banks. This study reveals that all the three dimensions of financial inclusion i.e. access, penetration and usage of commercial banks have increased from 2004 to 2016. This research found that almost 40% of respondents have accounts in the commercial bank. The rest of respondents have accounts either in microfinance institutions or in SACCOs. The findings show again that 67.7% of people who took loans, took them from commercial banks. Although commercial banks play a great role, there is a long way to go for Rwanda to be formally included because only 26% have an account in commercial banks according to Finscope Survey 2016. On this matter, the government of Rwanda should put more efforts to computerize MFIs and SACCOs as they serve 65% of the population in Rwanda. The government of Rwanda should set policies that support microfinance and SACCOs for them to offer better services at the standards of commercial banks as this would help in having a big number of citizens formally included and it may contribute to its economic growth.","PeriodicalId":231867,"journal":{"name":"INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF MANAGEMENT SCIENCE AND BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION","volume":"73 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-01-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128642707","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study used 180 career women respondents in the governorÂ’s office in East Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia. Qualitative and quantitative data from primary and secondary sources were collected by distributing questionnaires to the respondents. Purposive sampling was applied, and the data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential analysis of Partial Least Square. The result shows that work-family conflict does not significantly affect womenÂ’sÂ’ career development but significantly affects the career success orientation. Also, career success orientation significantly affects womanÂ’s career development. This study further reveals that career success is a strategic orientation as a mediation role between work-family conflict and womanÂ’s career development. Based on the models, this study indicates that 50.06% (Q2-predictive relevance) in the variation of the career development can be explained by career success orientation and work-family conflict.","PeriodicalId":231867,"journal":{"name":"INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF MANAGEMENT SCIENCE AND BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-01-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131180345","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The phenomenon of radicalism of youth is an important phenomenon and attractive pattern of transnational, cross-cultural and cross-history. Moreover, radicalism is a sort of terrorism. Natana J. DeLong-Bas as quoted by Arza (2012) calls for driving a wave of youth such changes as the “Facebook generation” or “internet generation” because the massive and intensive use of social media in orchestration movement demanded a change. Tragically, during conducting this research, a high school student who has recently graduated attempted murder of a priest who preaches in Sint Yoseph Church in Medan. Police investigations revealed that the action of attempted murder is linked to an international terrorist network, ISIS. The sample of this study was high school students and university students in Medan including religious teachers with a total sample of 175 people (150 students and 25 teachers). As the samples are selected non-randomly, its conclusion does not represent the opinion of entire youth in Medan. The study reveals that there is no single explanation for the occurrence of radicalism among the youth. Although in general, it can be said that each religion (Islam, Catholicism, Protestantism, Hinduism, and Buddhism) is less accepting of other religions in neighborhood relations, political relations as well as in economic cooperation. In other words, young generation in Medan was also less tolerant primarily due to a clash of religious beliefs and experiences of discriminatory treatment by other religious groups.","PeriodicalId":231867,"journal":{"name":"INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF MANAGEMENT SCIENCE AND BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-01-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129379076","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A cluster analysis using Ward’s method, through the Euclidean distance squared, according to the characteristics of the scale used to evaluate the variables of the models is developed. Validation resulting cluster analysis was performed by comparing the results obtained in the processing of the same sample by the nonhierarchical method, obtaining the corresponding dendrogram. As part of the analysis of the potential variables involved in the multivariate construct competencies management, a procedure for analyzing variables consensus on participants in a theoretical model was used. The contributions are reflected in the theoretical model designed from the four latent variables identified for managing human talent based on labor competencies, generic competencies profile for teachers, diagnostic results on the current situation of the introduction of the approach, and instruments for calculating indicators, which reflect an improvement in the teacher’s perspective, highlighting the level of competencies and the level of competencies development, with a favorable impact on the global results of this institution. It has an added value that focuses on the proposed theoretical model itself, distinguished by the integration of the mainstream in the study of competencies and the design of a management system of human talent based on this approach, making use of systems approach, holistic and strategic direction; providing technically sound tools for competencies development.","PeriodicalId":231867,"journal":{"name":"INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF MANAGEMENT SCIENCE AND BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION","volume":"147 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-01-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130781865","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

No country can attain sustainable economic growth without substantial investment in education. Education improves technical capabilities of exploring new ideas and innovations. It improves the quality of life and leads to collective benefits to individuals and societies. In this study, we investigate the impact of female education on the economic growth of Pakistan by adopting the methodology of the simple Ordinary Least Squares regression with time spanning from 1990 to 2016. OLS regression results show that 1% increase in female education, female labour force participation, education expenditure and fertility rate causes 96% increase in GDP of Pakistan. Female education has a significant and positive impact on economic growth. Female education has a positive relationship with female labour force participation rate. The female labour force is dramatically increasing the economic growth. The policy recommendation is that government should allocate more of its budget on education and make efforts for improvement of the quality of education at different levels. The fertility rate has a negative relationship with female education and economic growth. Female education can reduce fertility rate and play a magnificent role in economic growth of Pakistan.","PeriodicalId":231867,"journal":{"name":"INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF MANAGEMENT SCIENCE AND BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131714485","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
