Due to the drastic load and speed changes during the underwater-aerial process, the magnetization state of VFMM also needs to be accordingly adjusted to permit high efficiency over a wide operational range. This will cause pronounced changes in the equivalent machine parameters, thereby affecting the robustness of the overall system. Thus, a ILESO-based MPCC method is proposed to extract the errors caused by the parameter variations in the system and compensate for the error in the driving prediction model. The ILESO parameters are easy to be tuned and implemented, while also addressing the robustness issue of the MPCC parameters. Finally, the simulation results are provided to validate the effectiveness of the proposed method, considering various operating conditions of UAVs in different environment.","PeriodicalId":231381,"journal":{"name":"2023 IEEE International Conference on Predictive Control of Electrical Drives and Power Electronics (PRECEDE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125448364","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Firstly, based on predictive control, the discrete model of three-phase flying capacitor three-level grid-connected inverter is established. Secondly, the equivalent common-mode voltage model is established, and the common-mode voltage characteristics of each switching vector are analyzed to suppress leakage current. After that, the relationship between the switching sequence and the voltage balance of the flying capacitor is analyzed. The flying capacitor voltage is balanced by changing the switching sequence, and the leakage current can be suppressed. Firstly, the sector is divided according to the radiation range of the voltage vector. Then, in order to optimize the problem of excessive calculation caused by the new sector division, the secondary judgment is carried out in the sector selection, and the voltage vector is combined to a certain extent, which not only promotes the neutral point potential balance but also reduces the total harmonic distortion. However, there is a thick copper plating layer in cavities, resulting in serious eddy current hysteresis. In this paper, a control algorithm based on variable-step model predictive control is proposed for the eddy current compensation of high-power gyrotron terahertz wave sources. Compared to traditional flat top pulse current sources, the proposed algorithm generates a controlled current overshoot in the magnet, increasing the magnetic field stabilization speed by approximately 50%. The control algorithm has multiple operating states, and can achieve computational load balancing by adjusting the sampling time and prediction step length under different states, while generating a more stable flat top pulse current than traditional methods.","PeriodicalId":231381,"journal":{"name":"2023 IEEE International Conference on Predictive Control of Electrical Drives and Power Electronics (PRECEDE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115767887","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For such nonlinear systems implementation of long horizons may be regarded as even a formidable task due to the high computational complexity. Nevertheless, this can be achieved with a modest calculation cost by decreasing the size of the underlying control optimization problem. Moreover, when assisted by a light estimation algorithm, the developed control scheme achieves a high level of robustness to variations in the motor parameters. The presented results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method during steady-state and transient operating conditions.","PeriodicalId":231381,"journal":{"name":"2023 IEEE International Conference on Predictive Control of Electrical Drives and Power Electronics (PRECEDE)","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123928662","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper presents a novel deadbeat finite-set predictive torque and flux control strategy with a modified dynamical predictive model for permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drives to improve the robustness against mismatched parameters. Firstly, the mathematical model of the motor in the process of parameter perturbation is analyzed and derived, and the super local model of the motor is established based on this mathematical model. Secondly, the two-vector model is built based on the new hyperlocal model. Then, a sliding mode disturbance observer is designed based on modern control theory, and the unknown part is accurately observed. At the same time, the stability of the sliding mode disturbance observer is proved by Lyapunov theory. Finally, compared with the simulation results of traditional single vector model predictive control, the results show that the improved method can effectively improve the anti-interference of PMSM when parameter perturbation occurs, and enhance the system robustness.","PeriodicalId":231381,"journal":{"name":"2023 IEEE International Conference on Predictive Control of Electrical Drives and Power Electronics (PRECEDE)","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127053435","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the parameters sensitivity is still a bottleneck problem for MPC, and the existing methods are not suitable for sensorless control. This paper proposes a sensorless MPCC strategy based on alternative high-frequency square-wave voltage injection (AHFSVI). The proposed methods inject an alternative high-frequency signals on dq-axis of the stator voltage, estimating rotor position, rotor speed and inductance simultaneously. By updating the inductance used in MPC per injection cycle, the proposed method can effectively suppress the impact caused by parameter mismatches. To ensure a low switching loss for 4L-HC converters operated in high power scenarios, the selective harmonic elimination pulse width modulation (SHE-PWM) is adopted, which has good harmonic performance with a low switching frequency. The unified SHE-PWM formulation is used in obtaining the four-level switching patterns and switching angles to achieve the optimal output waveform quality. In addition, to ensure the balanced voltages across the DC-link capacitors and flying capacitors in 4L-HC converters, the model predictive control (MPC) is used in selecting the redundant switching states based on the output voltage level signal from the SHE-PWM module, while regulating the switching frequency at the same time. Various steady-state and dynamic simulation results are provided to validate the effectiveness of the proposed SHE-MPC method for 4L-HC converters.","PeriodicalId":231381,"journal":{"name":"2023 IEEE International Conference on Predictive Control of Electrical Drives and Power Electronics (PRECEDE)","volume":"70 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129086605","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The resulting zero-sequence current (ZSC) will cause additional torque ripple. To this end, the active control of ZSC should be taken into consideration. In this paper, an active ZSC suppression-based model predictive current control scheme for series-winding permanent magnet synchronous machines (SW-PMSMs) is proposed. First, based on the voltage vector (VV) distribution of three-phase SW-PMSM, six VVs without zero-sequence component are chosen as the basic VVs in $alpha-beta$ subspace. Next, the virtual VVs are employed to obtain the VVs only containing zero-sequence component, and they are utilized as the basic VVs in zero-sequence subspace modulation. Subsequently, the optimal VVs and their duty ratios in $alpha-beta$ and zero-sequence subspaces are selected and calculated separately to track the reference VVs according to the concept of deadbeat control. Next, the optimal VVs under the calculated duty ratios in different subspaces are combined and synthesized to generate switching sequences with constant switching frequency. The proposed scheme realizes the active ZSC suppression of SW-PMSM with current performance improvement. Meanwhile, time-consuming enumeration and cost function calculation can also be avoided. Finally, experimental results verify the proposed scheme and recognize the necessity of active ZSC suppression.","PeriodicalId":231381,"journal":{"name":"2023 IEEE International Conference on Predictive Control of Electrical Drives and Power Electronics (PRECEDE)","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129019249","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
