Its key goals are to satisfy customers and stay in business. As a result, it's critical to identify the elements that lead to successful TQM implementation. This study also proposed a framework that helps organizations in their success. To achieve this goal, various critical success factors (CSFs) that contribute to organizational growth success were identified. The major purpose of this research is to identify critical success factors for TQM implementation in the manufacturing industry. For this aim, the study was deployed from an extensive literature review, and the questionnaire was used as a research instrument to specify the essential CSFs in different manufacturing industries. Around 300 questionnaires were issued to top management of manufacturing enterprises in Sindh Pakistan (both public and commercial sectors). The structured survey received 82 valid responses, which were then analyzed by using factor analysis. Finally, the study's findings highlighted the five CSFs (customer satisfaction, employee involvement, training and education, continuous improvement, employee encouragement, and service quality) as the most important aspects in building an effective framework for successful TQM adoption in manufacturing industries. The findings of this study will assist senior management in the implementation of a TQM program and resource allocation that will produce the greatest results in terms of increased returns and stakeholder value.","PeriodicalId":231037,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Applied Research in Technology & Engineering","volume":"121 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116011464","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The material cost comparative analysis (MCCA) report took the user 58.51 minutes to complete and there was also a higher likelihood of calculation error. The report was created in Microsoft excel by the Lahore-based ABC footwear business. This used to take a lot of time to produce and there was a higher chance that the report would contain errors. This is because Microsoft excel visual basic for applications was used to automate the report. This report's manual preparation method was compiled by the company’s planning and costing division. Each activity was listed, followed by the completion of a time study. VBA macros were built in Excel to automate all manual report-related tasks and reduce the possibility of human error. Conditional statements were applied to help automated decision-making. To enable command buttons to run macros, one user form was created. There were various worksheets included in the MCA template. The automated template was found to consume only 16.26 minutes and it was quicker than the current technique.","PeriodicalId":231037,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Applied Research in Technology & Engineering","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116732125","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The existing SAMs, the capacity of the sewing line for various operations, and several required machines were collected. Moreover, the obtained figures were observed and analyzed by using time study and motion study, and certain improvements were made at the sewing line. Results indicated that SAMs for operations A and B were minimized by -13.64% and -14.54% respectively; whereas, SAM for operation C was increased by 16.67%. Machine requirement for operation C was increased by 100%; moreover, the capacity for operations A, B, and C was increased by 12%, 12.69%, and 40% respectively. When it is to production activities, the little improvements play a significant role in boosting the productivity of the production system. Optimal allocation of human resources, machines, and time are the benefits of line balancing. This can be made possible with the application of the line-balancing framework. With every passing day, the nature and type of article vary at the sewing line thus it is highly needed for the company to get the model developed for an automated line balancing application. Moreover, this work can be extended by the development of a line-balancing framework considering the nature of production.","PeriodicalId":231037,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Applied Research in Technology & Engineering","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129587940","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

When a failure occurs in the original temperature sensor, irreversible damage to engine components can occur due to overheating. In the present work, an auxiliary temperature system is implemented that alerts the driver before an eventual overheating of the engine by means of sound, visual and vibratory signals. The system compares the data provided by an LM35 temperature sensor and a Hall effect sensor in charge of counting the RPM in real time, using an Arduino, continuously processing the data and constantly informing the driver via an LCD screen. When a critical temperature is exceeded, an audible alarm will sound and a vehicle injector will be disabled. The system does not turn off the engine and is efficient in its purpose of alerting the driver, being suitable to implement in vehicles with multipoint injection due to its low cost of implementation.","PeriodicalId":231037,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Applied Research in Technology & Engineering","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115894327","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
