The patients who underwent heart valve surgery and warfarin therapy were included in this study. The data was collected by administering questionnaires, and the data was then analyzed using the SPSS WIN 22.0 program. There was a positive relationship between warfarin-related knowledge and the adherence to medication (r=.285, p=004). Medication adherence was also positively correlated with warfarin-related knowledge (r=.250, p=.046) and self-efficacy (r=.292, p=.019) for elderly patients under 70 years of age. Further, medication adherence of elderly patients over 70 years of age was correlated with only warfarin-related knowledge (r=.358, p=.032). The results of this study show that in order to improve medication adherence, elderly people should be provided with warfarin-related knowledge through individually tailored education and nursing interventions that strengthen self-efficacy, as well as the knowledge that is needed in the elderly group under 70 years old.","PeriodicalId":23087,"journal":{"name":"The Korea Academia-Industrial cooperation Society","volume":"5 1","pages":"584-592"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82024093","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The relationship between urban spatial factors and the impact of flood damage was analyzed, focusing on non-structural measures. The urban spatial factors were categorized into three parts: open space, disaster prevention facilities, and urbanization sectors. Multiple regression analysis was used to investigate how urban spatial factors influence flood damage. As a result of the analysis, the crucial factors, such as the reduced green areas and parks included in the open space sectors, resulted in an increased flood damage potential. The posterior factors, such as the population density and GRDP included in the urbanization sector concurrently led to an increase in the flood damage potential. Therefore, to better adapt to climate change, it is necessary to establish urban spatial plans strategically, such as green areas and parks. Meanwhile, the population density and GRDP are also the main factors causing flood damage. Therefore, when used appropriately in terms of resilience, it will serve as adaptations and recovery.","PeriodicalId":23087,"journal":{"name":"The Korea Academia-Industrial cooperation Society","volume":"78 1","pages":"238-250"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82047607","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The 384 administrative staff from 10 national university hospitals were surveyed from July 10 to August 20, 2018, using structured self-administered questionnaires. As a result, the average score of job satisfaction was a significantly lower in the groups with higher scores of organizational conflicts (p<0.001), higher scores of job stress (p<0.001) and higher scores of emotional burn-out (p<0.001). Regarding the correlation of job satisfaction with organizational conflicts, job stress and emotional burn-out, the score of job satisfaction was negatively correlated with organizational conflicts, job stress and emotional burn-out. The above study results suggest that job satisfaction was significantly related to organizational conflicts, job stress, and emotional burn-out. In particular, job satisfaction was influenced more by organizational conflict than job stress and burn-out.","PeriodicalId":23087,"journal":{"name":"The Korea Academia-Industrial cooperation Society","volume":"19 1","pages":"178-189"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84189350","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Moreover, after the Gyeongju and Pohang earthquakes, seismic performance evaluation, repair, and retrofitting projects have been carried out. Therefore, in this study, a specimen was designed following the L-type GFRP Plate Externally Bonded Retrofit method, one among other retrofit methods. The L-type GFRP Plate was bonded to the specimen by epoxy and a washered steel nail. A four-point bending test was performed to confirm the strengthening effect of the Externally Bonded Retrofit method using an L-type GFRP Plate. The strengthening effect of the L-type GFRP plate was proven experimentally, and the behavior of the beam designed following the L-type GFRP Plate Externally Bonded Retrofit method was evaluated according to Korea's \"Design Manual & Specification for Strengthening of RC Structures by Advanced Composites System\". Furthermore, the effectiveness of the bonding method, a combination of epoxy and washered steel nail, was also checked. The results showed that the design, according to the guidelines mentioned above, predicted the strength of the member well, but the failure mode did not satisfy the design assumption because of unexpected damage to the GFRP plate due to the fixing method, washered steel nail.","PeriodicalId":23087,"journal":{"name":"The Korea Academia-Industrial cooperation Society","volume":"47 1","pages":"86-93"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81692693","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While reliability analysis with failure data can result in underestimation of the life distribution, reliability analysis with all the non-failure data can result in overestimation of the life distribution. Under or overestimation of the life distribution can lead to cost increase by early disposal or complete observation of all rocket missiles. In order to overcome this problem, the Army suggests the guideline of the number of samples from non-failure data for reliability analysis with failure data. However, the currently used sampling method can generate errors for predicting the failure rate. To solve this problem, this study proposes a new sampling procedure for predicting a future failure rate using non-failure data. The comparison test between the currently used sampling method and the proposed sampling method is conducted and the result shows that the proposed sampling method can predict the future failure rate more accurately","PeriodicalId":23087,"journal":{"name":"The Korea Academia-Industrial cooperation Society","volume":"19 1","pages":"366-372"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81738162","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Totally, 115 nurses participated in the study. Data were collected from November 15-30, 2019, using structured questionnaires. Descriptive statistics, t-test, and ANOVA were applied for analyzing the data. Experience of caring for MDRO patients was reported by 86.1% nurses, whereas 67.8% nurses had received training on MDROs. The average score for knowledge on MDROs was 25.51 out of 27 points, with minimal correct answers given for the query on level of disinfection for medical equipment used by patients, criteria for the preemptive precaution, patient management in the cohort, and timing for removing personal protective equipment. The educational demand was highest for assignment to the precaution, criteria for screening examination, and management of outbreak. Also, educational needs differed with respect to the general educational characteristics and position of the individual. We propose the need to differentiate the educational status according to the career when developing the MDROs program, and the necessity to execute education of MDROs for new nurses and career nurses.","PeriodicalId":23087,"journal":{"name":"The Korea Academia-Industrial cooperation Society","volume":"6 1","pages":"463-470"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81829386","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
