Благодаря наличию лекарственных свойств у вида, сырьё используется в практике народной медицины. В связи с этим P. turczaninovii является редким и внесён в некоторые региональные Красные книги Российской Федерации. Исследование фондов ведущих Гербариев Евразии (LE, MW, B, VLA, NS (NSK), ALTB, PE), специальных литературных источников и личных наблюдений авторов в природе, позволило детализировать современный ареал вида. Pulsatilla turczaninovii занимает территорию Западной и Восточной Сибири, Дальнего Востока, Китая и Монголии, не выходя за пределы Северной Азии. Методом климатического моделирования на основе данных современного распространения вида и восьми биоклиматических переменных (отсеивание коррелирующих переменных произведено в приложении SDMtoolbox) в программе MaxEnt был получен потенциальный ареал P. turczaninovii. По индексу AUC тестовой выборки прогнозная модель показала высокое качество интерпретации результата. Значение AUC составило 0,879±0,016. Тест пермутации выявил факторы, которые оказали наибольшее влияние на распределение P. turczaninovii.
