The principles of treatment are based on patient care in ICU, mechanical ventilation \u0000and medical treatments. By using lower plateau, less tidal volume, higher positive end-expiratory \u0000pressure, fluid restriction, treatment of infections and avoiding any high‐dose steroids can improve the \u0000survival of these patients. Sadeghi","doi":"10.32598/jqums.23.3.238","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.32598/jqums.23.3.238","url":null,"abstract":"Background The effect of physical activity and nutrition on the method of childbirth has been studied; \u0000however, it cannot be assured. \u0000Objective This study aimed to explore the relationship between the type of delivery and nutrition and \u0000physical activity. \u0000Methods In a case-control study, women were entered either in cesarean section or normal vaginal delivery \u0000(each group: 52 subjects) groups. Data regarding physical activity and nutrition information during \u0000pregnancy were collected using Nutrition Questionnaire: Focused Pregnancy Nutrition Class. The scale’s \u0000reliability and validity were confirmed by the experts. Collected data were analyzed using descriptive \u0000statistics, t-test, ANOVA and logistic regression. The signifcance level was set as p<0.05. \u0000Findings Age, height, pre-pregnancy weight, gestational age, the number of previous pregnancies, and \u0000pre-pregnancy body mass index (BMI), were not different in the two groups; however, the groups differed \u0000in terms of BMI at the end of pregnancy, rate of changes in BMI, the employment status, sweets \u0000consumption before bedtime, taking medicines, the participants’ energy status compared with natural \u0000position, and reading nutrition facts label. \u0000Conclusion If the observed differences between the two groups are causative, the interventions can reduce \u0000the risk of cesarean section, such as preventing excessive weight gain during pregnancy. Upper limb exercise, as part of cardiac rehabilitation program, is one of the \u0000secondary prevention methods of further MI and disease improvement. \u0000Objective The present study investigated the effect of upper limb sport on the rate of readmission in \u0000patients with myocardial infarction. \u0000Methods In this randomized clinical trial study, 54 patients with MI were randomly divided into two \u0000groups of 27 patients (intervention and control). The intervention group performed upper extremity \u0000exercise for 6 weeks, twice a week and for 40 minutes per session. The demographic information of both \u0000groups was obtained before the exercise program, and at the end of the intervention. Furthermore, a \u0000checklist for referral to physicians and readmissions was completed. The collected data were analyzed \u0000using Independent Sample t-test and Chi-squared test. \u0000Findings The number of readmission in the control group was higher than the test group; however, the \u0000group difference was not significant in terms of readmission (P=0.250). Moreover, in terms of the reasons \u0000of readmission (P=0.434), and the duration of readmission (P=0.095), there was no significant difference \u0000between the two groups. The difference between the two groups in terms of the number of \u0000referral to physician (P=0.231), and the reason for referral to physician, was not significant (P=0.111). \u0000Conclusion The involvement of upper extremity exercises did not significantly change the rate of readmission \u0000and referral to physician of patients with myocardial infarction. The \u0000time of diagnosing and the proper management of hemorrhage are essential in preventing maternal \u0000mortality. The current study aimed to evaluate the effect of Bakri balloon on the management of PPH. \u0000Bakri balloon was effective in controlling PPH of 92.3% of patients. The most frequent indications for using \u0000Bakri balloon was uterine atony (46.1%).
