{"title":"Thermal-mechanical evolution of arc additive manufacturing process through digital image correlation","authors":"Wenhao Zhang, Haihua Liu","doi":"10.1109/AIAM54119.2021.00014","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/AIAM54119.2021.00014","url":null,"abstract":"In this study, the digital image correlation (DIC) method was used to obtain the full-field strain in the arc additive manufacturing process successfully, and the evolution process of temperature field, stress field and strain field during the deposition of 304 stainless steel thin-walled parts was analyzed by combining infrared thermal imager and finite element method. The results show that the temperature field and strain field simulated by finite element are in good agreement with the data measured by additive experiment, and the principal strain of the deposited component shows a trend of periodical accumulation and increase with temperature. During the arc additive manufacturing process, the area near the molten pool expands under heat, and the molten pool area is tensile stress. Nano-silver conductive tracks were printed on a commercial electronics grade fibre glass (E-glass) reinforced substrate material using a self-designed paste extrusion 3D printer, and the mechanical behaviors of sintered nano-silver paste were studied. The dog-bone-shaped specimens printed by 3D printer, were sintered at different temperatures, and then the sintered specimens were removed from the substrate, measuring their tensile behaviors, i.e. stress-strain curves. The square specimens were printed and the pull-off and shear adhesion tests were objected to quantify adhesive strength. However, robot in this mode not only has extremely low efficiency, but also wastes manpower, lacking scientificity and practicality. Manual errors lead to large-scale machine strikes and cause major accidents and losses. Independent of manual intervention, the project in this study designs a fully automated robot. Arduino is used as the lower computer language and Python is used as the upper computer language to develop the robot control system in this project, and the Arduino Mega2560 is used as the development board for the core control hardware. The main objective of this project is to accurately recognize the set objects in the warehouse and pick them, and then place the objects in the designated containers. In order to satisfy the customer demand preference and optimize the product configuration design scheme under the constraints of the product configuration design cycle, a customer demand evaluation and decision-making method based on network planning technology is proposed to meet the diversified and personalized needs of customers. Firstly, based on the product configuration design module and the subdivision results of the configuration process, the network planning technology is used to calculate the required period of the initial product configuration scheme under common requirements. Then, through the mapping relationship between the customers personalized configuration requirements and the product configuration module, a product configuration design model considering the customer demand preference is constructed. Meanwhile, the periodic constraint vector algorithm is used to evaluate the customer demand preference and determine whether to respond to the customer preference information. The results show that the surface noise of both blades decreases with the increase of yaw angle. Compared with the unmodified blade, the variation range of blade surface noise with double fork tip structure is smaller. Under any yaw condition, the surface noise of the double fork modified blade is smaller than that of the unmodified blade, which is reduced by 1.6%, 1.4%, 1.7% and 0.09% respectively under the above four working conditions. This paper proposes a vector representation method integrating explanatory text by adding the semantic features of explanatory text to the word vector representation, the vector representation integrates the common interpretation information of words outside the sentence, so as to enrich the semantics of vector representation. This paper obtains explanatory texts from the corpus of Modern Chinese Dictionary. Using a variety of neural network structures on the LCQMC, this work obtained more than 1% performance improvement with fusing explanatory text.
