The temptation to jump to increase the vertical dimension directly using the final restorations should be avoided. Clinical evidences indicate that even severely worn occlusion do not lose vertical dimension Methodology: . Hence proper evaluation and right diagnosis for need of increase in vertical dimension is mandatory .The detrimental effects of bite-raising are usually insidious. Great caution should be exercised before any “bite raising” procedure is undertaken as it directly affects the interocclusal rest space, the temporomandibular joint and the periodontium of the remaining teeth. this case was followed by Pankey Maan Schuler Phylosophy. Static coordinated occlusal contact of maximum number of teeth in CR Anterior guidance in harmony with mandibular movement Protrusion – disocclusion of all posterior teeth Group function during lateral excursion (working side) Balancing side No contacts Keeping in mind this technique the case was treated Conclusion: This case report describes diagnosis and treatment planning of a worn out dentition with raising vertical dimension. Patients with occlusal wear ,may require extensive restorative treatment to regain appropriate function, esthetics, comfort and maintain the health of the temporomandibular joint. In order to achieve normal maxilla-mandibular relationship a provisional appliance either mandibular guide flange or palatal ramp prosthesis can be fabricated. Once the patient is able to achieve the proper mediolateral position of the mandible for occlusion of the natural teeth but is unable to repeat this position consistently for mastication, guide-flange prosthesis can be considered. Methodology: Intially a palatal ramp appliance was fabricated for retraining of mandibular musculature in order to functionally reposition the residual mandibular segment and then treated with definite mandibular prostheses with a guide flange to restore the function and esthetics. Conclusion: Mandibular guide flange or palatal ramps are normally utilized as training device. However, in a longstanding case, definitive mandibular prosthesis with a guiding flange and acrylic teeth on the resected side to stabilize the occlusion and to restore the esthetics can be used successfully to correct the deviation and achieve acceptable occlusion for normal mandibular function. The mode of teaching had to be shifted from face-to-face to digital learning to complete the prescribed syllabi in a stipulated time period. Aim: This study aimed to assess the attitude and perception of undergraduate dental students towards computer-mediated teaching during COVID-19 pandemic. Settings and Design: After obtaining informed consent, a questionnaire study was conducted online using Google Forms among undergraduate students of dental colleges in Central India. Methods and Material: A standard pre-tested questionnaire in English was used, which consisted of 3 parts. The first part recorded demographic data, second part evaluated learning and third part assessed the attitude of the students to computer-mediated learning. Statistical analysis used: 1045 students participated in the study. Learning and Attitude Score was calculated and mean score was compared between groups using ANOVA. Results: Most of the students (above 80%) believed the modern education is inconceivable without computer technology. However, only about 30% believed that such teaching can substitute traditional way of learning. Those with advanced skills in computers reported to have better experience with computer-mediated learning (p<0.05).
