Most of e-Learning systems are multi platform systems over intranet/internet. High education institutions such as universities have to implement such system to support learning process. E-Learning system has to be suitable with the needs and characteristics of students in order to be sustainable for long time. This paper attempts to explore the implicit needs of students related to open source e-Learning system, and adopt Kansei Engineering to explore appropriate open source e-Learning systems according to students emotion perspective. The goal of this research is to analyze the desired open source e-Learning system based on students implicit needs. Five open source e-Learning systems were used as specimens, eleven emotions as Kansei Words, and employing two hundred students as subjects/respondents in Kansei evaluation. Tracking performance represents how precise the actuator can follow the reference, while robust performance shows how far the actuator can function properly when plant uncertainty and disturbance appear. This works assess both tracking and robust performance of two popular control algorithms i.e Sliding Mode Control (SMC) and Repetitive Control (RC). A simulation on dc servo motor is performed to assess the performance of SMC and RC. A conventional timing estimation based on autocorrelation suffering performance reduction caused by interference and multipath channel distortion. The proposed method is developed based on normalized 4-th order moment for symmetric correlator. Based on these 4-th order moment, a binary hypothesis testing problem is formulated. In fact almost every large companies implementing information systems, but controlling the information system needs additional efforts, one of which is the audit of information systems. Audit is believed to be able to identify risks and evaluate the adequacy of the important controls on information systems. Audits are generally examining data or document but the modern companies stored more detailed information in event logs, transaction logs, databases, data warehouses etc. In this research, COBIT 5 framework is offered as part of the assessment process improvement initiative or part of a capability determination approach. This research aims to renew two important steps in the assessment process, namely the data collection and validation, using a process mining approach. Thus the information systems audit uses process mining to extract knowledge from event logs into useful information for audit purposes. The worst forest and land fires are also found on peatlands. This research aims to identify hotspot sequences as fire indicator on Sumatra peatlands on the year 2014 using SPADE algorithm. There are 28 sequences generated with a minimal of two days occurrences with minimum support of 0.01. The sequence patterns showed that majority hotspot consecutively occurred on March and April of 2014. Association between hotspot sequences and social economy aspects is then analyzed using Apriori algorithm. This research results 1632 rules associated with location of hotspot sequences. Additionally this research also focuses on occlusion detection and handling, which involves detecting and handling the states when one vehicle superimposes the other or when two superimposed vehicles split, and lane categorization i.e. dividing the vehicles in the moving traffic scene into their corresponding lanes of the road in which they are travelling in. The challenge taken up was to achieve all this using basic image processing techniques and algorithms and not compromise on the desired output, most importantly keeping the single frame processing time less and the speed of processed video playback to be comparable to that real-time video playback speeds. It is to note that all of the above is achieved through the techniques demonstrated in this research. The process cycle followed from frame extraction to the final classification of vehicles involves algorithms that are all highly region based and do the necessary processing only on the region of interest, only as and when required. Thus saving processing power and time. The identification process uses information from gene expression and clinical data which is obtained from data integration process. One of deep learning architecture, multimodal Deep Boltzmann Machines (DBM) is used for data integration process. The joint representation gene expression and clinical is later used as Restricted Boltzmann Machines (RBM) input for cancer subtype identification. Kaplan Meier survival analysis is employed to evaluate the identification result. The curves on survival plot obtained from Kaplan Meier analysis are tested using three statistic tests to ensure that there is a significant difference between those curves. Currently, with the significance growth of parallel computing and cloud computing application, FPGA provides another solution for high performance computing instead of CPU or GPGPU due to its hardware parallelism and low power consuming. We have been developing the heterogeneous high performance computing that utilize the FPGA as well as GPU. One of the implemented FPGA boards for this purpose is Stratix V FPGA from Altera. In this paper, we performed the test and computation using OpenCL to evaluate the performance of Stratix V DE5-Net FPGA board. The blockchain is an open ledger containing records of every transaction within Bitcoin system maintained by Bitcoin nodes all over the world. Because of its availability and robustness, the blockchain could be utilized as a record-keeping tool for information not related to any Bitcoin transactions. We propose a method of utilizing the blockchain of Bitcoin system to publish information by embedding an arbitrary size of data into Bitcoin transactions. By publishing information using the blockchain, the information also carries the characteristics of Bitcoin transaction: anonymous, decentralized, and permanent. The proposed protocol could be used to extend the functionality of asset management systems which are limited to a maximum of 80 bytes data.
