Also various passive components have been demonstrated. Recently, it has been demonstrated that a single DRW antenna works well over several rectangular waveguide bands even up to 1 THz. This simplified interferometer presented here uses a lock-in amplifier to significantly increase system sensitivity when used in conjunction with a co-operating target signaling using amplitude modulation. The system is verified by detecting the angular velocity of passing tagged target. The antenna is composed of two circular coplanar strips which enclose slot aperture of similar shape and is designed on a thin and flexible substrate. From the modeling and experimental tests the antenna shows good performance in 2-15GHz frequency range with return losses better than 10dB. It is shown that the proximity of different, non-metalic materials does not significantly affect antenna performance. The proximity of metalic screens deteriorates its radiation pattern and reflection coefficient. In this paper, we elucidate the relationship between superoscillation and the closely related concept of superdirectivity. Key similarities and differences are highlighted, which showcase windows of possibility for practical superoscil-latory waveform design. Thereafter, through the example of the Optical Super-Microscope - a far-field super-resolution microscope, we demonstrate how established antenna array theory can be leveraged to design a practical superoscillatory filter, which enables far-field sub-diffraction optical imaging. Two state-of-the-art circuit/ antenna co-design examples of high-power sources are presented: at 288 GHz in 65nm CMOS technology and at 530 GHz in 0.13μm SiGe BiCMOS technology. The goal of the propagation work in METIS is to provide adequate propagation models for 5G. For this purpose corresponding deficiencies of present commonly used models are identified. Further, the lack of available channel models for several propagation scenarios has been assessed. Based on this assessment the framework of 5G channel modelling is sketched. Two different sensor locations are considered; one near the elbow and one on the chest. A comparative study is made between both the sensors in terms of accuracy obtained in estimation of unknown coordinates. Results show that accuracy in estimation of location of the sensor depends on the position it is placed on the human body, configuration of the base stations and the propagation phenomenon in the indoor environment in which localisation is taking place.
