Distributed energy aggregation is actually a virtual power plant (VPP), and a price-based demand response (PBDR) is implemented on the user side. First, with the goal of maximizing operating income, and considering constraints such as load supply and demand balance, unit operation bundles, and working reserve, a VPP regular scheduling optimization model is constructed. Then, using conditional value risk (CVaR) and Lu Bar stochastic optimization theory, characterize the uncertainty of WPP and PV, and build a VPP risk avoidance optimization model. Finally, the verification is carried out by taking the example of an independent microgrid in a park in eastern China. The results show that: (1) the characteristics of different types of distributed power sources can be complemented by VPP to achieve the goal of maximizing energy utilization, power generation and economic benefits; (2) for the risk of uncertainty, this paper proposes Based on the risk avoidance model, the risk is controlled through the reasonable setting of confidence and robustness coefficients. It is found that when the robustness is Γ≤0.85, the uncertainty at this time is small and the risk is large. The results show that the scheduling plan of VPP will be affected by the attitude of decision makers when facing risks; (3) When the prediction error e is at a high value, the growth rate of Γ is the same. For these reasons, CVaR will increase. On the surface, lower forecast accuracy leads to an increased risk of uncertainty. Therefore, the model proposed in this article is aimed at maximizing economic benefits, maximizing the use of clean energy based on this goal, and realizing the best operation of VPP through reasonable control of risks.","PeriodicalId":223198,"journal":{"name":"2020 5th Asia Conference on Power and Electrical Engineering (ACPEE)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124475542","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

UHF method is widely used to detect partial discharge. The performance of UHF antenna directly affects the partial discharge detection effect. Miniaturization of antenna size is one of the main objectives of antenna structure optimization. This paper establishes a circular butterfly antenna simulation model, elliptical groove is dug on the radiation patch, and the parameters are simulated and optimized by Ansoft HFSS software. The simulation results show that after changing the antenna structure, the resonant frequency increases, the S11 corresponding to the resonant frequency increases, and the gain decreases. After the structure optimization, the E-plane curve is more obvious than the E-plane curve corresponding to the circular butterfly antenna, the surface curve is W-shaped. After the structure optimization, the impedance matching at the resonant frequency is better than that before the structural change, the resonant frequency shifts from 2.5 GHz to 2.7 GHz, and the S11 corresponding to the resonant frequency changes from -25.57 dB to -45.9 dB, meets the design requirement of S11 less than -10dB. However, this common DC bus system can hardly balance the fast and selective protection requirements, especially in low-voltage high-capacity situations, which should be extensively protected by quick-fuses. In view of this kind of system, this paper analyses the short-circuit current calculation method of various faults and calculates a typical ship study example by transient simulations. On the basis of short-circuit calculation, the parameters of the fuses are designed based on fast and selective protection principles. The introduction of energy storage system in the electric vehicle charging station can alleviate negative impacts of station operation on the utility grid and reduce the distribution transformer capacity, which brings obvious economic benefit. However, due to the uncertain factors, such as the randomness of fluctuations, the capacity configuration of energy storage systems is necessary. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a capacity configuration optimization approach for the energy storage system in the charging station considering load uncertainty. Taking into account the investment and expanding capacity reconstruction cost and the annual electricity cost, the cost model of the energy storage system with the variable life of the battery is established and solved by robust optimization. Compared with the optimized configuration strategy based on the definite load curve, the proposed configuration strategy based on load uncertainty has shown satisfactory stability and robust performance.","PeriodicalId":223198,"journal":{"name":"2020 5th Asia Conference on Power and Electrical Engineering (ACPEE)","volume":"63 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125086441","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The optimization model is established with the lowest electricity cost of building operation as the objective function. Meanwhile, through the evaluation and assumption of the demand response potential of various loads in commercial buildings, the demand-price elasticity model under the real-time electricity price mechanism is introduced, and the double-layer optimization algorithm is adopted to optimize the solution of the given model. Through the simulation of the example, the power operating costs of the commercial buildings cluster under three different cases of distributed power generation outputs, as well as whether to participate in demand response are compared. As an important infrastructure, power transmission systems often have large-scale power outages during extreme events. In order to minimize the loss of power transmission systems under extreme events, this paper proposes a method to devise an optimal maintenance strategy for minimizing maintenance cost. Firstly, a fragility model is established and the Monte Carlo is used to assess the impact of extreme events on power transmission systems. Considering multiple component outages, even system splitting, a power system response model is developed to reflect the operation of power system. Taking into account the maintenance cost and reliability of systems, an optimized model is constructed to devise a post-disaster repair strategy for power transmission systems in a cost-effective manner. Finally, the IEEE 6-bus system is employed to verify the feasibility of the proposed method. In turn, the results provide a reference basis for power companies to carry out power transmission systems emergency planning and post-disaster repair.","PeriodicalId":223198,"journal":{"name":"2020 5th Asia Conference on Power and Electrical Engineering (ACPEE)","volume":"106 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128715204","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For multi-terminal DC (MTDC) grids, the power supply of OH lines can be restored immediately by reclosing the hybrid DC circuit breaker (HCB) after the temporary fault occurs, consequently greatly shortening power outages. In order to solve problems of protection maloperation, power electronics damage, etc. may be caused by the non-selective reclosing of HCB, the line fault identification principle (LFIP) based on active small traveling wave signal injection was proposed in this paper. The small traveling wave signal can be injected into the DC line by unblocking some sub-modules (SMs) in the transfer branch of HCB. Then whether the fault exists on the line can be determined by the difference in propagation characteristics of the injected signal. Simulation results confirm the effective performance of the proposed method.","PeriodicalId":223198,"journal":{"name":"2020 5th Asia Conference on Power and Electrical Engineering (ACPEE)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128193951","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

So this paper proposes a novel simplified setting method of distance backup protection. This method simplifies the calculation of setting value and accelerates the action time of protection device, which makes the distance zone-II protection only cooperate with the protection of zone-I of local line and only consider the sensitivity coefficient. To further ensure the selectivity of relay protection, the paper develops a fault line detection to match the above method based on random matrix spectral analysis, whose matrix formed by the measured lines current. Then the paper designs a feasible simplified setting process of distance zone-II backup protection by integrating the above methods. Finally, the example analysis shows the simplified setting method of distance backup protection can ensure the selectivity of relay protection, correctly identify the faulty line and speed up the action time.","PeriodicalId":223198,"journal":{"name":"2020 5th Asia Conference on Power and Electrical Engineering (ACPEE)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128699614","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Power systems with large penetration of renewable energy such as solar or wind energy have time-variant operation characteristics and network partition in such networks requires efficiency and less running time to keep up with the changes. Generally, partition methods are mostly based electrical connection between buses and clustering methods, whose aim is to cluster buses that have similar voltage reaction characteristics into the same set. There are many ways to obtain electrical connection and partition networks, and their effects and efficiency vary from one to another. In this paper is proposed a practical method to do the computation of electrical connection while partitioning the power network into smaller sub-graphs online in less CPU time than traditional power network partitioning methods. Its aim is to optimize the index of partition, as well as to minimize inter-zone connection while maximizing intra-zone connection, fitting the partition results with different operation characteristics of renewable energy sources. The method to do the calculation of electrical connection matrix is based on a modified method of sensitivity while the partition method is based on the widely applied concept modularity and community detection algorithm.","PeriodicalId":223198,"journal":{"name":"2020 5th Asia Conference on Power and Electrical Engineering (ACPEE)","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125680315","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
