Many of parents are relying very much on the school bus services although they are worried about their children safety. Realizing of that problem, this paper proposed a SMS based solution to assist most of parents to identify their kid's movement (in/out) of the school bus. SMS will be sent to parents once their children ride on the bus and reached the destination. The project aims to develop a school bus security system using RFID and GSM technologies. RFID is used to identify the student's identity with the parent's contact number and also head count whereas GSM is used as a platform to notify parent on their kid's movement via SMS. Tests has been conducted on the overall performance of the developed prototype. From the results, it was found that the developed project is capable to provide a real-time messaging system to parents on their children whereabouts; with an additional feature of student attendance checker. Air pollutants pose a danger to human health if their concentrations exceeding the tolerable levels. Monitoring such pollutants and their levels is an important precautionary measure to alarm the public about air quality around them. In Malaysia, the Department of Environment monitors air quality using costly continuous air quality monitoring stations (CAQMs) installed at fixed locations of highly populated and industrial areas. For other areas, their API readings are just estimates taken from the nearest CAQMs. Furthermore, most of the CAQMs still do not measure particulate matters (PM) smaller than 2.5 micron (PM2.5). The objective of this paper is to develop an air quality measurement system which can measure PM smaller than 10 and 2.5 microns, and four hazardous gasses, including carbon monoxide, sulphur dioxide, ground level ozone and nitrogen dioxide. The functionality of the system was evaluated by measuring sub-API readings in areas with low and high traffic volumes. Experimental results showed that the proposed system was highly responsive and able to detect the types and concentrations of pollutants instantly. For instance, stroke affects 15 million people annually in the world causing upper limb disability, also about 78 million arthritis cases with grasping impairment are expected yearly in US by the year of 2040. Therefore, hand robotic devices can be essential tools to help individuals afflicted with hand deficit to perform activities of daily living in addition to the possibility of restoring hand functions by home rehabilitation. In this paper, a real time muscle activity detection algorithm has been developed to control a pneumatic actuated soft robotic glove intended for patients with grasping impairment. The algorithm employs two amplitude independent and computations efficient methods to detect weak and noisy muscle activities from surface electromyography (sEMG) signal obtained by a single channel located on the forearm. These methods are the first lag autocorrelation of the normalized sEMG signal and the modified SampEn method. The algorithm is also insensitive to the spurious background spikes that may contaminate the sEMG signal and deteriorate the performance of amplitude dependent detection methods. The merging of these two methods enables the algorithm to distinguish between hand open and hand close activities by using sEMG signal collected by only one channel. The efficacy of the algorithm has been evaluated on a healthy subject wearing the soft robotic glove, where the algorithm has recognized the hand close and hand open muscle activities with high accuracy. However, the discharge characteristics and charge storage capacity limitations of their lithium-ion battery can restrict their flight time endurance. The utilization of an automatic drone charging station is therefore desirable for these robots. This paper proposes a fully automatic contact-based charging station for UAVs to recharge UAV's and thereby solve the UAV's flight endurance limitations. The ground station comprises square-shaped copper plates of consecutively polarized positively and negatively in the form of a chess board with specific dimensions to ensure electrical contact when landing. The design methodology employed with the charging station accounts for the variations of the orientation of the UAV after landing on the platform. Furthermore, this innovation employs an autonomous recharging process after touchdown. Subsequently, this technology relaxes usual flight time constraints and improves overall mission times. The UAV equipped with a suitable hardware circuit the onboard circuit consists of six bridge diode rectifiers to modulate the polarity of the four UAV's contact terminals that allows autonomous recharge regardless of the yaw angle between UAVs and the charging pad platform, this, in turn, simplifies landing protocols. With the help of communication technology, it can also be used for outage management. When outages occur, AMR may send outage notification to utilities for assessing the situation. AMR can also be polled at any time to determine power and status. However, it would not be efficient for utilities to poll every meter in an affected area of the network due to time and data constraints especially with Low-Power Wide-Area Network as LoRaWAN. LoRaWAN technology can provide very long-range transmission with low power consumption. However, it also has some restrictions including a limited payload, capacity and network size. Skills and knowledge in designing automation and industrial robot can be improved with the help of three-dimensional design (3D CAD) software. Robot design requires the use of three-dimensional design (3D CAD) software in the event of an invention which can shorten the development of time robots, improve the speed and quality of design system. The Solidworks software consist of four sections. Those sections are manual drawing, part module, assembly module and drawing module. Solidworks simulation software is used to simulate pick and place system. The work focuses on avoiding the contents of carboxyl, hydroxyl or epoxy groups which is up to 55% of the Graphene Oxide (GO) alone in which enhance the conductive performance of the composite. We have characterised the composite on colour difference and voltage-current measurement (I-V Measurement) and Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS). The results of a simple eye observation for different thin films indicates a difference in colour shades due to better dispersion in TiO2/Graphene thin film. Then the dispersion of the Graphene sheets can be seen by the uniform colour change with every different ratio. Moreover, the same ratio with different composite weight in I-V measurement resulted is similar to current/voltage readings. Ministry of Road Transport Malaysia Transport reported that 512,466 accidents were recorded in 2016 which 22 deaths per 100,000 accidents. In order to decrease the number of accidents cause by carelessness people, there is need of communication between automobiles and voice recognition device to make the vehicle make their turn light functional automatically. This project could be achieved with the help of the Raspberry Pi and Google Assistant. This Raspberry Pi are brain of the project that is control the signal and accept the voice input from Waze Navigation then it will be process by Google Assistant to produce the text output to compared with the programmed instruction by using Python script. In this project the objective is to make an automatic signal by using the voice command by the Waze navigation or Google Maps navigation and to study the consistency of detection of word by Google Assistant. This project also involved the study of the delay time of the Raspberry Pi to trigger the output. The Raspberry Pi is the main board for the processing to get the output text from the Google Assistant and it will be compare to the Python script to conduct and automatic vehicle signal by voice. Such interest was mainly aimed at knowledge discovery to improve decision making process in diverse range of applications, including Islamic finance. One of the most critical steps in data mining is data preprocessing, as it would directly affect the quality of insights obtained at the later stage. Feature selection has been widely used in data preprocessing phase to improve the machine-learning algorithm and model interpretability. However, there has been limited attention has been given on the evaluation of feature selection methods on its effectiveness to process input data for Induction Decision Tree (IDT). Hence, this study aims to address such gap in the literature through the use of real-world data in Islamic finance to evaluate the improvement that generated by feature selection method. To achieve lower error rates, the constraint length (k) of the encoder, has to be defined at higher values. However, higher (k) results in increasingly complex implementations of the Viterbi algorithm. As a result, the power consumption of the Viterbi decoder will increase exponentially which is to the disadvantage of many wireless communication devices. Many reduced complexity decoding techniques of the Viterbi decoder presented in the past focused on algorithm and architecture specific levels. Most of the studies concentrated on the Add-Compare Select Unit (ACSU) of the decoder, due to its nature of repetitive processing; also add to the complexity of the process. This paper presents a review of several variations of the Viterbi algorithm performed in the ACSU. The comparison was made among several different algorithms with the most optimal algorithm presented in this paper.
