The Solidworks software is used to design some parts of pick and place system such as cylinder and sliders with different grippers. The design will be analysed by using simulation Xpress study and motion study. Skills and knowledge in designing automation and industrial robot can be improved with the help of three-dimensional design (3D CAD) software. Robot design requires the use of three-dimensional design (3D CAD) software in the event of an invention which can shorten the development of time robots, improve the speed and quality of design system. The Solidworks software consist of four sections. Those sections are manual drawing, part module, assembly module and drawing module. Solidworks simulation software is used to simulate pick and place system.
