An automatic model is required to classify the sentiments as positive and negative. Thus, the paper proposes a sentence-level sentiment analysis approach to classify whether a movie review is positive or negative. The experiment is performed on the IMDb dataset using three supervised machine algorithms, Linear Support Vector Machine, Logistic Regression and Multinomial Naïve Bayes. Each have been tuned to have the best settings of hyperparameters to achieve the best possible results. The results obtained by these models were then compared based on their Accuracy Score, F1-Score and AUC Score. This approach obtained an F1-Score of 0.914 and an AUC-ROC score of 0.97 after 10-fold Cross-validation. There was an improvement in the evaluation of the F1 score and AUC-ROC score compared to other state-of-the-art models.","PeriodicalId":221211,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE Conference on Interdisciplinary Approaches in Technology and Management for Social Innovation (IATMSI)","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114491784","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This work proposes a hybrid wavelength-mode division multiplexing (WMDM)-enabled RoFSO transmission scheme capable of transmitting high-speed data signals over free space channel. 4-data signals at 10 Gbit/s transporting 10 GHz radio frequency signals are multiplexed to realize 40 Gbit/s-40 GHz free space transmission. The proposed scheme is evaluated for varying weather attenuation scenarios and transmission from 680 m - 5 km is faithfully achieved with good bit error rate, quality factor, and received eye diagrams of the information signals.","PeriodicalId":221211,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE Conference on Interdisciplinary Approaches in Technology and Management for Social Innovation (IATMSI)","volume":"186 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116144420","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For designing the model of the battery, parameter estimation is a very important aspect to be considered in electric vehicles. The determination of SOC and other battery parameters is a challenging task for which there is a need to develop a technique for accurate estimation of these parameters. Researchers are working to find methods to reduce both the time needed for battery parameter estimation and the number of times the experiments must be conducted. Universal Adaptive Stabilization (UAS) methodology is one such technique that yields accurate estimations while simultaneously reducing the number of iterations to converge toward the true value. UAS technique is one of the best methods which can be easy to use for estimating other parameters of the battery model like output terminal voltage and series resistance as well. An important component of the UAS technique is a switching function. A particular class of switching functions, the Nussbaum type function, having Mittag-Leffler (ML) form, is discussed within this paper. This paper also presents a way to implement this technique successfully on a small electric vehicle (EV) prototype with continuous recalibrations done during run-time.","PeriodicalId":221211,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE Conference on Interdisciplinary Approaches in Technology and Management for Social Innovation (IATMSI)","volume":"158 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114658592","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These advancements in technology are defined in the IEC 61850 standard. This standard depicts the communication mapping for substation automation. The primary problem is to switch out outdated protective relays with reliable, newly developed microprocessor-based relays. These are called intelligent electronic devices (IEDs) in the automation field. The analog to digital converter is a crucial merging unit (MU) component. In order to meet the application of the requirements, an analog signal with an input frequency of 50 Hz, a current of 0 to 2 amps, and a voltage of 0 to 5 volts into a digital format with a high resolution of 14 to 16 bits. In the current scenario, the merging unit is placed near the substation where relay control panels are located. This merging unit takes analog signal from the CT through the cables which are running from the CT to the merger unit control box. This paper proposes a design of SAR ADC for a decentralised merging unit, a small unit which will be installed in the CT base. Furthermore, this will directly give a digital output that complies with IEC 61850. An optical fibre will send that signal directly by a wired or wireless control system.","PeriodicalId":221211,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE Conference on Interdisciplinary Approaches in Technology and Management for Social Innovation (IATMSI)","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126218603","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Discharge summaries and other medical reports have an unstructured format that includes details on various topics, including illnesses, treatments, and medications. Because of their narrative structure, it is difficult to extract useful and crucial information from them within a short meeting. Since the physician has to spent much time in deciphering the voluminous medical reports of patients before any treatment plans, the quality time of the physicians is wasted proving detrimental in the delivery of quality healthcare. This research intends to overcome the said problem by exploring the various techniques for automated extraction of vital information from discharge summary. Though there are several Information Extraction (IE) techniques for capturing clinical information from medical documents, this paper aims to compare the five most popular and open-source tools: MedTagger, GATE, cTAKES, NCBO Annotator and CLAMP. Experiments were carried out on 108 discharge summaries obtained from MTsamples, and the results indicate that CLAMP outperforms other tools with regard to recall, precision, and F-score value; proving that it could be used as an effective summarization during doctor-patient dialogues.","PeriodicalId":221211,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE Conference on Interdisciplinary Approaches in Technology and Management for Social Innovation (IATMSI)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121598126","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The response time in identifying the words is less in the context of words appearing after a semantically connected word or picture compared to the words in segregation or words anteceded by a semantically unconnected word or picture. In order to investigate this phenomenon in the context of Bengali-speaking children, fifteen primary school children with ages ranging between 7 to 10 years were involved in the picture priming experiment. The experiment comprised of 25 words to be read by the children under two conditions consisting of without prime and with picture prime. Error rates of the participants are measured based on their performance during the experiment. The reaction time of the participants is also computed in seconds with reference to the two conditions that is the availability of prime and no prime. Analysis of the student's performance during the above experiment showed that the response time and error rate are comparatively reduced while identifying the target word in the condition of the presence of picture prime. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first-ever investigation regarding the effect of the presence of picture prime among Bengali-speaking children.","PeriodicalId":221211,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE Conference on Interdisciplinary Approaches in Technology and Management for Social Innovation (IATMSI)","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125494190","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

IPMSM drives are widely used in EV applications due to their robust construction and extra reluctance torque production as compared to the surface permanent magnet synchronous motor. Negative salient IPMSM has $L_{d}$ is greater than the $L_{q}$ which can achieve wide speed control. Therefore, it is broadly suggested for electrical vehicle Purposes. The FOC (field oriented control) method is mostly preferred speed control technique of IPMSM in the industry because the motor can control like a separately excited DC motor. MTPA of the IPMSM drive is preferred to reduce the copper loss by selecting the proper operating point. Flux weakening control algorithm used to achieve speed above rated speed. When Positive saliency IPMSM operating below the base speed $I_{d}$ current is demagnetizing whereas in Negative saliency $I_{d}$ current is flux-intensifying current. Negative salient PMSM has a wide constant power region. Due to reverse saliency, the operating machine operating points are also reversed during MTPA operation.
