The well-known quantization technique is Post Training Quantization (PTQ) and Quantization Aware Training (QAT). We applied an INT8 quantized network to design deep learning acceleration hardware and found that the performance of the deep learning network deteriorated due to errors occurring in the mult/shift based re-quantization step. This quantization error becomes a bigger problem in the training process rather than inference, and the FP32 arithmetic operator is applied to prevent the resulting accuracy drop. In this paper, we investigate whether the use of FP32 operators can outperform employing mult/shift operators under specific conditions. We accomplish this by analyzing the data flow based on output channel tiling and conducting a size analysis of the implemented hardware.","PeriodicalId":220939,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Technical Conference on Circuits/Systems, Computers, and Communications (ITC-CSCC)","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132258272","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Agriculture in plant factories has been attracting attention. However, these types of agriculture are not as profitable as conventional ones. Therefore, it is necessary to control the cultivated schedule as one of the ways to improve the profitability. In this paper, we present the method for plant growth prediction in plant factories. Microcomputers and sensors are used to measure the data of the cultivation environment, and we predict size and weight for vegetable by using LSTM algorithm. From experimental results epochs of 20, 50, and 70, the best accuracy is obtained at epoch number of 50. Then MSE and MAE are 0.077348 and 0.187984, respectively. The coefficient of determination is as low as −0.529. MSE and MAE are 0.165420 and 0.328250, respectively, which were worse than size, and the coefficient of determination exceeded −2. From about results, the prediction of the size is mostly completed. In the future the prediction accuracy of the weight needs to improve.","PeriodicalId":220939,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Technical Conference on Circuits/Systems, Computers, and Communications (ITC-CSCC)","volume":"108 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133305909","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Consequently, techniques for more efficient video compression are needed. One approach to address this issue is to downsample the video image to reduce the amount of information and then perform encoding. Upsampling is performed using super-resolution or other methods to restore the original resolution, which is expected to improve coding efficiency. However, super-resolution may not necessarily produce superior results compared to other. As conventional superresolution processing does not consider degradation caused by video encoding processing in the learning process. Therefore, we propose a method of learning super-resolution that considers the degradation caused by both downsampling and video encoding processing. As a result, we can perform super-resolution processing suitable for video encoding and improve encoding efficiency by up to 7%.","PeriodicalId":220939,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Technical Conference on Circuits/Systems, Computers, and Communications (ITC-CSCC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129357477","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The NPR is the ratio between the pressure inlet and outlet, while the SR is the ratio between the outlet and throat areas of the nozzle. The CFD results revealed the gas flow, pressure (P), Mach number (M), temperature (T), shock, and jet for some conditions of NPR and SR, consistent with the theory. Furthermore, it was found that $M$ increased with increasing NPR and/or SR. Furthermore, $T$ enhanced with increasing NPR but decreased with increasing SR. Considering the hierarchical structure of random access coding, different approach is used for upper layer and lower layer. To the upper layer, reduced bits are assigned to CTUs without bounding box generated by YOLO by increasing the value of QP. On the other hand, more bits are assigned to CTUs with bounding box generated by YOLO by decreasing the value of QP. As a result, the model will always render an incorrect prediction, predict OO-Do as one of the trained classes. Parasitic infections can be a significant public health issue, and detecting and identifying parasite eggs in images can be a helpful technology for early diagnosis and treatment. However, a parasite egg detection model may face challenges when presented with out-of-domain (OO-Do) data, which includes images of unrelated objects such as cats, trees, or other irrelevant content. Previous research developed techniques for detecting out-of-domain samples in object detection to overcome this issue. These methods typically involve modifying a pre-trained model for object detection to improve its ability to detect samples outside the domain it was trained. To retain the performance of the original model while improving its ability to detect objects in OO-Do samples, we adopted a two-step approach to address the challenge of the out-of-domain samples. The first step involves classifying the test images using threshold strategies. The second step is employing object detection techniques to detect further and verify the out-of-domain samples. Object detection without threshold strategy and a two-step approach using SoftMax threshold achieved an F1-score of 77.30% and 70.60%, respectively. For out-of-domain image awareness, a two-step approach using SoftMax threshold obtained 57.97% F1-score compared to 29.94% F1-score of object detection without threshold strategy. This suggests that the proposed approach effectively addressed the out-of-domain problem in the context of parasite egg detection.","PeriodicalId":220939,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Technical Conference on Circuits/Systems, Computers, and Communications (ITC-CSCC)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127715581","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This has led to a rise in both the number of Electronic Control Units (ECUs) and the bandwidth between data traffic. Ethernet communication has been adopted to address this issue in a network where multimedia and control traffic coexists. However, a solution was still required to maintain Quality-of-Service (QoS), which led to the emergence of the Time-Sensitive Network (TSN). In this situation, TSN, which defines rules for real-time, reliability, etc., is gaining attention. In this paper, we compare the performance of Time Aware Shaper (TAS) and frame preemption methods for real-time scheduling among TSN protocols.
