To develop the framework, a qualitative study following a multiple interview approach was conducted. Based on an analysis of such efforts at three companies, this article suggests that improving energy efficiency in operations is a dynamic process and involves interactions between the competing logics of actors. The findings reveal that development efforts to improve energy efficiency in operations, though varying in origin, can usually be attributed to the motivations of the actors initiating them. Therefore, this article proposes that any improvement in energy efficiency in operations is determined by the cumulative effect of interactions between competing logics of actors who are officially accountable for or personally interested in improving energy efficiency in their companies. By extension, by engaging different actors in contributing to continually achieving improvement, the process of improving energy efficiency in operations can be regarded as a context for sustainability-as-practice.","PeriodicalId":22004,"journal":{"name":"Supply Chain Forum: An International Journal","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"73131978","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

At this point, this study has two main aims that include these requirements. The first aim is to determine whether the green human resources management (GHRM) of companies operating in the automotive industry has a direct impact on green supply chain management (GSCM). The second aim is to determine whether green product innovation (GPI) has a mediating effect in the relation GHRM and GSCM. Structural equation modelling is used to test the developed hypotheses. GHRM of automotive companies operating in Turkey has a significant positive effect on GSCM. In addition, GPI has a full mediating role in the relationship between GHRM and GSCM. Green-oriented should be establishment in the supply chain structures. Green-oriented human resources management approach is necessary to develop a green-oriented SCM. GHRM approach should be strengthened with GPI activities for GSCM.","PeriodicalId":22004,"journal":{"name":"Supply Chain Forum: An International Journal","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89902679","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper addresses the gap in current quantitative research concerning the link between environmental sustainability and performance in SMEs. Stakeholder and neo-institutional theories and resource-based view are used as underpinnings to hypothesise relationships between relational motives, internal sustainable environmental strategies, and operational, economic, and environmental performance in SMEs. We statistically analyse survey data completed by a sample of 49 SMEs in the Houston, Texas metropolitan area by applying regression path analysis, bootstrapped with .95 CI (Bias Corrected and Accelerated) of 2000 samples on all regressions. The results show significant relationships between (1) the relational motives and sustainable internal environmental strategies and (2) sustainable internal environmental management strategies and operational, economic, and environmental performance in the sampled SMEs. Conclusions from the results, managerial and theoretical implications, limitations, and future research opportunities are discussed.","PeriodicalId":22004,"journal":{"name":"Supply Chain Forum: An International Journal","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-02-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"77210029","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research uses a systematic literature review as a foundation for designing a supply risk model that uses a Bayesian belief network. The proposed model aims to identify the most critical objective and subjective risk factors influencing supply chain networks. Moreover, the proposed methodology has been demonstrated through a case study conducted in an Indian manufacturing, in which inputs were taken from supply chain and risk management experts. Hugin Expert software was used to design and run simultaneous simulations on the Bayesian network. The top three factors found to influence business profitability were delays, product technology, and fuel price. The proposed model can be reengineered as conditions change and new information becomes available, thereby ensuring that risk analysis remains current and relevant along the timeline of the any disruption.","PeriodicalId":22004,"journal":{"name":"Supply Chain Forum: An International Journal","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-02-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89564217","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The general problem is rich location routing problem (LRP) considering demands of multiproducts to be allocated to a set of potential depots and a set of products to be delivered to healthcare institutions, while pickups and deliveries are from and to depots and healthcare institutions at the same time. One parking for vehicles is considered in the network, and each route starts and ends at the parking. A mixed integer linear programming is provided as a tool for the decision-maker to choose the best pooling configuration and decide the degree of flexibility of problem parameters such as time window length for demands, heterogeneity of the depots and vehicles, location of the depots and their capacities, etc., with the objective to save warehousing and transportation costs for the whole network.","PeriodicalId":22004,"journal":{"name":"Supply Chain Forum: An International Journal","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-02-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86571212","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many enterprises have come to the critical moment of survival. The international supply chain finance, assuming a significant positive role, can alleviate an enterprise facing a financial dilemma. Due to the current turbulent environment, international supply chain finance also confronts a lot of risks. The paper aims to focus on the risk of the warehouse receipt pledge financing model, which is widely used in international supply chain finance. We propose a new risk evaluation index system for the risk of international supply chain financial warehouse receipt pledge model, using the Structural Equation Modelling. The paper explains the influencing factors of the financial warehouse receipt pledge model on the international supply chain during this pandemic. This study provides valuable insights for managers to mitigate the risks in international supply chain financial warehouse receipts pledge and offers future research opportunities to international supply chain scholars.","PeriodicalId":22004,"journal":{"name":"Supply Chain Forum: An International Journal","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-02-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89510538","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research approach includes a Multi-Criteria Decision-Making framework based on Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process. The framework analyses a set of Blockchain implementation criteria and their importance ranking for achieving Supply Chain Management. The findings suggest that, to implement Blockchain technology for Supply Chain Management, the most important criterion is Traceability followed by Security and Smart Contact. Decision makers can make use of the developed framework in the supply chain section to evaluate readiness of Blockchain technology and its benefits for Supply Chain frameworks. This will lead to effective allocations for resources and budgets in their planning for various Blockchain deployment.","PeriodicalId":22004,"journal":{"name":"Supply Chain Forum: An International Journal","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-02-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83812128","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Literature now pays great attention to studying this ripple effect, which can critically undermine resilience of the entire Supply Chain. This work further investigates ripple effect by analysing the presence of cycles among these chain reactions using Fuzzy Cognitive Maps. This methodology allows to link multidimensional and multidisciplinary concepts: by unveiling this information, managers and policymakers are provided with more details about the system behaviour. The research method exemplified uncovers the causal relationships among factors influencing Supply Chain Resilience, providing necessary insight to break or reinforce such connections. A case study of an automotive industry Supply Chain is presented to show the application of the proposed methodology into an operating context: 15 different cycles have been enumerated, explaining how connections among these factors ultimately impact Supply Chain Resilience.","PeriodicalId":22004,"journal":{"name":"Supply Chain Forum: An International Journal","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88372634","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
