In this method, according to Stefan-Boltzmann's law, the raw thermal images are transformed to the radiative energy images, and they are decomposed using two scales' discrete wavelet transform. The components of low frequency sub-bands are partitioned into sub-blocks, then, they are transformed by DCT. Each face is represented by the coefficients extracted from the sub-blocks in DCT domain. Finally, according to the discriminative power, different sub-blocks in DCT domain can be assigned different weights. In this paper, a Fuzzy C Means (FCM) clustering algorithm integrating the complementary physical information and statistical property contained in both polarimetric and interferometric data, is used for POLInSAR classification. At first, the area dominated by volume scattering is extracted from polarimetric information using unsupervised H-A-Alpha k-means Wishart classifier with the physical scattering mechanisms of different terrain types; and the volume scattering area (forest area) is further segmented in the feature space of the relative optimal interferomet-ric coherence spectrum A1 and A2. Then a robust unsupervised fuzzy C means (FCM) classifier initialized with the results of the segmentation is applied to the polarimetric interferometric coherency data sets corresponding to the volume scattering area. This will not only take into account the scattering mechanisms of the data, so that the results of the classification have definite physical meaning, but also avoid the problem that the initial value of FCM algorithm is difficult to identify. The proposed method is evaluated and compared with k-means Wishart classifier using repeat pass E-SAR L band polarimetric interfer-ometric SAR data and the corresponding auxiliary image. Image fusion techniques can integrate the spatial detail of the panchromatic image and the spectral characteristics of the multispectral image into one image Exiting image fusion techniques such as the Intensity-Hue-Saturation (IHS) transform method, Brovey transform method and High Pass Filter (HPF) method may not be optimization while fusing the new generation commercial satellite image such as ALOS. The most serious problem is that the fused image usually has a notable deviation in visual appearance and spectral values from the original image. In this paper, we proposed a new fusion method for ALOS images, when adding the detail information of panchromatic image to the intensity component of multispectral image, the weight coefficients are determined adaptively based on the structural similarity(SSIM) between the panchromatic image and the intensity component of the multispectral image. The shape of leading/trailing edge is very important to the section profile curve of the turbine blade. Generally, the leading/trailing edge is a small section of the elliptic arc. In order to model the blade accurately, we propose here a new idea of handling the difficult situation where the noised data span a small section of the elliptic arc. This new fitting algorithm based on the fitting ellipses subject to the constraint of length of semi-minor axis is presented to extract the important parameters of leading edge and trailing edge at first. The discrete data points of cross-section profile curve are interpolated with G2 continuous rational Bezier curves. Leading edge and trailing edge are described as rational Bezier curves precisely. This discovery has soon been employed to the field of pattern recognition and more recently, given rise to a newly developed unsupervised feature extraction method named sparsity preserving projections (SPP), which aims at seeking a linear embedded space where the sparse reconstructive relations among the data in the dictionary can be preserved. However, SPP is non-orthogonal and still has some space for improvement. Specially, by taking into consideration the preservation of some neat property of a dictionary, this paper presents an orthogonal sparsity preserving projections (OSPP). OSPP iteratively calculate a projective vector which can preserve the sparse reconstructive relations as SPP dose, and at the same enforcing it to be orthogonal to all previously obtained vectors. Empirical study shows that OSPP has more powerful sparsity preserving ability than SPP and hence is expected to have better classification performance, since sparsity is potentially related to discrimination. According to the attenuation effects of high voltage transmission line and busbar capacitance to high-frequency current transients, differences of current transients at each end of the transmission line when in-zone faulted and out-zone faulted are analyzed and used to deduce the Transient Current Content Ratio (TCCR). Transient Based Protection criterion using TCCR is proposed, and the principles of protection settings are given. Wavelet modulus maxima of current transients are used to calculate TCCR. EMTP simulations of different faults using a 100kHz sample rate are carried out for testing and analyzing the protection criterion. An embedded high resolution still image compression and storage system based on POWER PC, FPGA and ADV212 is presented in the paper in order to implement 4008×5366×12bit lossy and lossless compression of high resolution aero image. Image compression storage system structure and the software and hardware design method of the system are shown here. The design object is to save one image each two seconds and to send one image each eight seconds on the condition of 1.44Mbps transmission rate. A joint time frequency distribution with oscillating windows is proposed to extract the signals from heart sounds. Two types of mother wavelets are designed as matching templates based on the nature of murmurs. The time-frequency maps of the analyzed phonocardiographic (PCG) signal are compared to show which type of templates matches better with the systolic murmurs. Practical applications are addressed for two types of cardiac abnormalities, aortic stenosis and mitral regurgitation.
