Such a device has to be characterized particularly with signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and a limit of detection (LD). The paper describes an approach that allows deriving the SNR parameter from the known properties of the scheme. Image quality in the form of visibility or average contrast (V=(Imax−Imin)/(Imax+Imin)) is also obtained. Some estimations and predictions are made based on the results of consideration. Particularly shown is that image quality parameters are predominantly governed by image density.","PeriodicalId":218575,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE 7th International Conference on Advanced Optoelectronics and Lasers (CAOL)","volume":"73 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115711350","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Some important scientific achievements are represented, which concern transition effect and Cherenkov-type radiation effect. Under the transition effect the maximum frequency shift of laser radiation appears, when focal point of self-focusing intersects exit boundary of the medium and phase delay before and after the focal point is uncompensated. The SRS radiation of Cherenkov-type appears at coincidence of self-focusing focal point speed, the phase velocity of nonlinear polarization at anti-Stokes Raman frequency and phase velocity of scattered SRS-radiation. This is result of superluminal speed of the focal point movement.","PeriodicalId":218575,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE 7th International Conference on Advanced Optoelectronics and Lasers (CAOL)","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114507438","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Optical singularities (optical vortices, circularly polarized C points, etc.) possess quit new properties against classical optics with smooth wave fields. Their discovery [2, 3] and investigation has created appearance of the singular optics as a new rapidly developing chapter of modern optics [3 5], etc. Most of papers in singular optics are devoted to realization and investigation of static optical fields. Quit new phenomena and regularities are realized in the dynamic optical fields [6–7]. We have shown also that very important and quite unusual topological role in singular optics play umbilic points, where wavefront is locally spherical one and possess special morphology [4].","PeriodicalId":218575,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE 7th International Conference on Advanced Optoelectronics and Lasers (CAOL)","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129369520","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The spectral sensitization upon photo excitation of both the dye and the silver-halide MC occurs due to redistribution of the non-equilibrium charge carriers between the MC and the dye adsorbed at its surface. The mechanism of this process essentially depends on the physical nature of the surface MC centers responsible for the dye adsorption, on their charge state and on the degree of the dye aggregation. Previously, we had suggested that centers for adsorption of the anionic dye J-aggregates at the silver-halide MC surface can be interstitial silver ions of the atomic-molecular degree of dispersion Ag2+.","PeriodicalId":218575,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE 7th International Conference on Advanced Optoelectronics and Lasers (CAOL)","volume":"82 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114811750","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
