In the healthcare industry, it is imperative that the procurement and use of stock is not only cost-effective, but also that the required stock is always available. Discrepancies between total inventory and usage can lead to damage to BMHP inventory as the items have expiry dates, as well as excess total inventory costs. The problem of total inventory costs exceeding the budget occurs because overstock is 83% of the total need, overstock is caused by an excessive number of drug orders purchased. The purpose of this study is to reduce the total cost of inventory by considering expiry costs, inspection cost, shortage cost, order cost, holding cost using the EOQ method. The first stage in this study is to calculate the optimal order quantity value, then find the expected number of drug expirations. These results will be used to calculate the total inventory cost of five types of medical materials. for the inspection cost value, if the number of expired medical materials is above 20, the inspection cost value is not equal to zero. The calculation results found that the total inventory cost was Rp. 162,904,965, this cost is less than the actual cost of Rp. 185,843,346.00 with a difference of 12%.","PeriodicalId":217640,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Innovation in Enterprise System","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127481252","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), which contribute significantly to the national economy, must inevitably embrace the adoption of Industry 4.0 technology. However, the implementation of this technology at the SME faces numerous obstacles. To address these challenges and facilitate the transformation to Industry 4.0 in SMEs, this research aims to construct a comprehensive adoption strategy. Currently in its preliminary stage, the strategy development process primarily involves identifying stakeholders, their needs, and the goals they aim to achieve. Design thinking, specifically the empathize and define phase, is employed as the methodological approach. The information utilized in this study originates from systematic literature reviews conducted using PRISMA. The analysis of the gathered data has identified several stakeholders, including government entities, IT experts, management personnel, and employees. However, for the purpose of creating user personas, the focus is narrowed down to management and employees. User personas are instrumental in understanding the goals and potential obstacles faced by these individuals. The culmination of this stage is the formulation of a problem statement, which will be further refined in subsequent phases of the design thinking process.","PeriodicalId":217640,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Innovation in Enterprise System","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126920047","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The case was derived from port-to-port coal transportation problem commonly faced by third-party logistic (3PL) company. During planning, they must determine which shipsets to be used and assign them to the loading/unloading berths. Each berth varies in terms of its loading/unloading speed and each shipset varies in terms of its capacity, sail speed, and fuel consumption rate. The selection of shipset impacts the auxiliary and main engine fuel consumption while the selection of berth impacts only the auxiliary engine fuel consumption. The target is to minimize the total fuel consumed by both engines for the whole shipset. We modelled the case through Multiple Vehicle Allocation Problem (MVAP) framework and proposed a heuristic algorithm to find the solutions. The heuristic algorithm is proven to be able to reach an optimal solution for small cases and near-optimal for medium to large cases.","PeriodicalId":217640,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Innovation in Enterprise System","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129697613","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Currently, PT XYZ already has a hammer mill machine that will be used in the production process. A hammer mill machine is a machine that serves to smooth the material. Before carrying out mass production, a simulation is carried out first. The manufacture of briquettes found obstacles in the process of grinding and screening. Coconut shell charcoal that has been milled and entered is partially retained and cannot be released to proceed to the next process. The grinding result is larger than the screen size, which is 1 to 2 mm. In the manufacture of briquettes, it is expected that the grinding results are less or equal to 0.4 mm. Based on the identification of the problem, the alternative solution chosen by the researcher is to redesign the hammer mill machine, especially on the blade and screen sections. The design is done using the reverse engineering method. There are five steps in designing using this method. In the study, it was found that the second design was a suitable design to be developed because it was better than the existing state. The mill results were obtained with an average of 0.0343 mm and a grinding time of 186.807 seconds. The fineness values and the grinding process time were obtained through simulations using the EDEM 2022.1 software.","PeriodicalId":217640,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Innovation in Enterprise System","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127785469","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For simultaneous processing by multiple machines, single-stage splitable jobs are broken into random (job) sections. When a job starts to be processed on a machine, an operator has to setup the machine for an hour. By creating two Mixed Integer Linear Programming models, this work proposes a mathematical programming strategy (MILP). A MILP model takes the job-splitting property into account. Another model, however, does not include the job-splitting property. This study investigates the performance of the proposed models using Gurobi solver. These programs' numerical calculations are based on actual problems in the Indonesian city of Bandung's plastics industry. On four identical parallel injection molding machines, 318 jobs must be finished in 22 periods. The real scheduling method is contrasted with these two MILP models. The maximum workload imbalance, the maximum relative percentage of imbalance, and the makespan of these three scheduling systems are used to evaluate their effectiveness. Without the job-splitting property, MILP can handle the real issue of scheduling identical parallel machines on injection molding machines to reduce makespan, resulting in a 36% average decrease. The MILP model's job-splitting property can reduce makespan by an additional 2.40%. The order of relative ranking is MILP with job-splitting property, MILP without job-splitting property, and actual scheduling based on the makespan minimization, workload imbalance, and relative percentage of imbalance.","PeriodicalId":217640,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Innovation in Enterprise System","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132624431","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
