The Cloud computing archetype offers various benefits over the traditional self-hosting computing solution, though it has the critical challenge of assigning the task to the computing resource. Task scheduling is a prominent issue for all cloud providers and having an efficient task scheduling algorithm is a must for processing. Plentiful task scheduling algorithms are implemented with different techniques and defined by various performance factors like increasing throughput, minimizing time and makespan. This paper outlines a survey on existing task scheduling algorithms in the cloud platform. A set of contexts and scenarios are created to examine and contrast how different task scheduling algorithm work. Task scheduling algorithms, namely FCFS, Short Job First (SJF), Round Robin, Priority algorithm, Modified Short Job First, Enhanced Round Robin and Genetic algorithm, are investigated in this paper based on performance metrics like makespan, turnaround time, No. of Virtual Machines and cloudlets.","PeriodicalId":217375,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Conference on Recent Trends in Electronics and Communication (ICRTEC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129635436","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The file streaming capacity is dynamic and depends on the storage capacity of the individual peers' devices. The large file is split into multiple chunks to stream it across peers. These chunks are not stored on the cloud or any intermediate channel, eliminating the need for a cloud storage bucket. To achieve this real-time streaming among peers, the Secure WebSocket (WSS) protocol is used, which has a minimal buffering delay. Depending on the internet bandwidth of the sender, the chunk size is dynamically modified to achieve a faster streaming rate. Before the chunks are received, the system allocates the required storage space for the incoming file stream. As these chunks arrive, they are written directly to the native storage of the device. Each room's name is unique. The creator of the room shares the name with his peers to start a streaming session. From this point, any peer in the room can act as a sender or a receiver.","PeriodicalId":217375,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Conference on Recent Trends in Electronics and Communication (ICRTEC)","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132463923","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Even though motors are at the centre of many motion/drive control and industrial automation applications, regulating their speeds can be difficult. Because of its low maintenance requirements, compact size, and great efficiency, the brushless DC (BLDC) motor is a promising new type of motor. An FPGA-based solution for speed regulation of an inverter-fed BLDC motor is presented here. Both open- and closed-loop speed control simulations are performed to validate the suggested approach. The accuracy of these simulations is double checked using a full-scale experimental setup in the lab. It has been noticed that the transient and steady-state response of BLDC motor speed control is enhanced by the use of a closed loop technique based on FPGAs.","PeriodicalId":217375,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Conference on Recent Trends in Electronics and Communication (ICRTEC)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130519164","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The interaction of humans and wildlife animals results in conflict, which leads to injuries, permanent disabilities and loss of life in humans and animals. In many cases, the result ends with the threat of declining or extinction of abundant species in the animals. Computer vision technology-related solution in animal detection and classification plays a critical role with the advantage of safety, inexpensive and convince adopting of the advanced algorithm. But still in the infancy of achieving the expected level of efficiency and performance of the model, also to adopt for real-time application. The most popular method to extract voice features presently involves using MFCC coefficients which are the statistical features acquired from a kind of Spectral depiction of the audio clip (a nonlinear “spectrum-of-a-spectrum”). In the Mel scale, the divisions of the frequency band closely mimic the human auditory systems response. Post extraction, the needed features are extracted and the relevant classification or regression models/operations are applied. Numerous deep learning algorithms have been used so far in the studies for age and gender estimation. In this paper, the attempt is the same. A new labeled dataset is built by collecting the audio samples of people belonging to a variety of age groups and two genders (male and female) from the web. To this dataset the MFCC feature extraction program was applied; after extraction, different regression models were used to compute the age of the speakers and classification models to identify their genders.","PeriodicalId":217375,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Conference on Recent Trends in Electronics and Communication (ICRTEC)","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121539081","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Multiple interfaces are available on SoC systems, some of which employ standards with wildly divergent clock frequencies. Many contemporary serial interfaces are by nature asynchronous with the rest of the chip. To address the issue of clock skew across big processors, significant SoC sub-blocks are increasingly being designed to operate on separate clocks. Partition-based implementation and verification have typically been the primary emphasis of design approaches. These divisions are frequently based on clock domains. The cross-clock domain crossing (CDC) signals present a special and difficult verification difficulty. The verification of clock domain crossings cannot be done using conventional functional simulation. Although correct clock domain implementation and verification have received little attention, static timing analysis (STA) is a crucial component of the timing confinement strategy. Conventional techniques offer an impromptu partial verification that is laborious, error-prone, and manual. Designs may contain functional flaws that are not discovered until the end of the design cycle or worse still, during post-silicon testing, if the sources of potential mistakes are not addressed and confirmed early on. At this point, correcting mistakes would be quite expensive. Chips are reportedly “dead in the water” in some large system households as a result of CDC issues.","PeriodicalId":217375,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Conference on Recent Trends in Electronics and Communication (ICRTEC)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131904948","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus, security issues are a significant apprehension in the Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN). Misbehavior node is a highly harmful attack besides the WSNs, and the entire networks are broken, disturbing the data transmission. To solve these problems, Misbehavior node detection using Hamming residue mechanism (MNHM) in Clustering WSN is proposed. This approach uses the Hamming code Word (HCW) to detect the misbehavior nodes in the WSN. Here, the security code likes HCW for detecting misbehavior nodes in the network. This approach is to discover the highest energy efficiency node and lowest distance nodes in the WSN. HCW minimizes network delay and provides end-to-end security. To improve safety, security bits are added. The length of HCW is n, and k denotes the security bits. This approach aims to strengthen the misbehavior node detection in the WSN. Furthermore, it applies an Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) algorithm for solving shortest path issues in the network. The simulation results explain that the proposed method has better residual energy and improved the network lifetime. It also minimizes the network delay and miss detection ratio in the WSN.","PeriodicalId":217375,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Conference on Recent Trends in Electronics and Communication (ICRTEC)","volume":"91 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130939137","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The easy access of IoT to various devices has led to the development of new applications that generate several data from different objects. In its implementation, IoT requires a protocol that has high communication performance, fast response and light size. MQTT is the right protocol for IoT because this protocol is designed for machine-to-machine communication and can send data quickly and with low bandwidth. MQTT consists of three main components, namely Publisher, Broker and Subscriber. Publishers are IoT devices that periodically send sensor data to data subscription applications known as Subscribers. While MQTT Broker is an entity that collects data sent by publishers and then forwards it to subscribers. In previous studies, many studies discussed the comparison of the performance of the HTTP Protocol in Cloud Services. This research discusses the performance of existing MQTT Brokers on AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) cloud services. It was found that Azure is good for using the Average Throughput Subscriber parameter at each QoS level and the Average Throughput Publisher at QoS 1 and 2. Meanwhile, GCP is good for using the Average throughput publisher at QoS level 0 and receives the most messages at QoS levels 1 and 2.","PeriodicalId":217375,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Conference on Recent Trends in Electronics and Communication (ICRTEC)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134111843","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Predicting the formation of these blooms help waterbody stakeholders take appropriate actions and treatment plans for algae management. Many factors such as Alkalinity, Surface Temperature (ST), Precipitation, the effect of nutrients, etc., contribute to bloom formation and can vary based on geographical regions. This paper is focused on a region-based analysis and identifying factors contributing to the large concentration of cyanobacteria. The study includes several lakes from the states of Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. We investigate a multi-variate time series analysis using Vector Autoregressive (VAR) / Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) and ARIMAX models and evaluated their Root Mean Square Error(RMSE) and Mean Arctangent Absolute Percentage Error (MAAPE) scores. The preliminary results indicate that the Northern region dataset has a forecasting accuracy of 98%. VAR/VECM models outperform ARIMAX models. The Granger-causality test indicates that Surface Temperature (ST) played an important role in bloom formation in the Northern region lakes, while other regional results in conducive.","PeriodicalId":217375,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Conference on Recent Trends in Electronics and Communication (ICRTEC)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124045004","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
