This problem can be solved by utilizing neural network to learn from LDA and train model for faster processing time. This study aims to inspect further on how accurate different neural network models can be when learn from LDA. The neural network models that are used to compare in this work are dense neural network (DNN), recurrent neural network (RNN), long short-term memory (LSTM), gated recurrent unit (GRU), bidirectional LSTM (BiLSTM), and bidirectional GRU (BiGRU). From the experiment, it shows that BiGRU and RNN are good alternative to learn from LDA when compare to DNN, RNN has the best test accuracy on 15 topics at 0.8833, comparing to Dense 3 at 0.8807, Dense 2 at 0.8798, and BiGRU at 0.8767, while BiGRU has the best test accuracy on 20 topics at 0.8727, comparing to Dense 2 at 0.8704, RNN at 0.8664, and Dense 3 at 0.8642. If the topic is more than 35 topics, Dense 2 outperform other techniques including Dense 3 as well.","PeriodicalId":216904,"journal":{"name":"2022 7th International Conference on Business and Industrial Research (ICBIR)","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130023818","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A drip irrigation control system, based on LoRa remote wireless technology, and a dynamic neural network, is designed in this paper. Lora remote wireless communication terminal, which can connect sensors or control devices, such as soil temperature, digital flow meter, and so on, at the same time, can be remote control such as pumps, water valves, and other equipment operation. A prediction model was established using the Long Short-Term Memory Network (LSTM) which is a class of the Recurrent Neural Network (RNN). The trained model uses past soil moisture, precipitation and climate measurements to predict the moisture content of vineyard soils based on a pre-set amount of time, thereby calculating the amount of irrigation and determining the timing of irrigation. According to the training results of the model, the root mean square error (RMSE) is $0.116 sim0.171$, the range of R2 is $0.941 sim0.986$, and the range of mean absolute error (MAE) is $0.071 sim0.081$. For predicting water content at different soil depths, R2>0.9 shows good model performance and prediction effect. The system has good working stability, high prediction accuracy, and slight deviation. The planter can apply it to the irrigation of large, medium, and small-scale grape plantations in the actual planting environment. Compared with the traditional irrigation control system, advanced irrigation methods can be realized, improving the irrigation rate and saving irrigation water.","PeriodicalId":216904,"journal":{"name":"2022 7th International Conference on Business and Industrial Research (ICBIR)","volume":"139 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128916832","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Previous research in this area has focused on a select group of countries at the researcher’s discretion, giving rise to sample bias. The current research paper has rectified the above problem by employing a larger sample of data comprising both developing and developed economies. The study employs static panel data regression analysis with R&D expenditure, the number of publications in scientific research journals, and population per sq. km as the independent variables and GDP growth of countries as the dependent variable. The results indicate a significant but negative impact of R&D expenditure on GDP growth. The research in this paper could help academicians critically examine the applicability of the endogenous growth model in the case of developing countries and gather more empirical evidence to support our conclusions.","PeriodicalId":216904,"journal":{"name":"2022 7th International Conference on Business and Industrial Research (ICBIR)","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121094976","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Machine learning methods for traffic prediction usually treat traffic conditions as time-series due to obvious temporal patterns. Recently, spatial relationships among roads in a road network have also been used to improve traffic prediction. This study proposes a novel method to predict traffic conditions such as speed using a graph convolutional neural network with a spectral adjacency matrix (GCN-Spectral). Unlike a spatial adjacency matrix representing physical connections between road segments, a spectral matrix represents the correlation between road segments in terms of traffic conditions. The GCN-Spectral model is evaluated by comparing with a multi-layer perceptron model (MLP), as a non-spatial model, and a graph convolutional neural network with a spatial adjacency matrix (GCN-Spatial). The data used in this study are GPS probe data collected from taxis in Bangkok. Empirical results show that the GCN-Spectral with a combination matrix model mostly outperforms GCN-Spatial models in the Bangkok dataset. However, MLP performs the best in most cases.","PeriodicalId":216904,"journal":{"name":"2022 7th International Conference on Business and Industrial Research (ICBIR)","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122701534","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Different model setups, in which the wheelchair’s occupant is supported on three types of seat cushions, are formulated with the model subjected to low-frequency vibration waves arising from the interaction between wheelchair tires and ground profile. The model’s output, in terms of displacement response of the wheelchair and its occupant’s body parts, are analyzed and validated against the results of well-defined published papers. The analysis reveals that the occupant’s torso receives the largest impact from vibration causing the organ to exhibit maximum displacement; and the foam-based cushion performs the best in helping to dampen the amplitude of displacement responses.","PeriodicalId":216904,"journal":{"name":"2022 7th International Conference on Business and Industrial Research (ICBIR)","volume":"56 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123119219","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we focus on Distributed Denial of Service Attack (DDoS-Attack). DDoS-Attack is a vicious attempt to disrupt normal internet traffic by using DDoS traffic to the target server. Today, Artificial Intelligence is used to solve many problems. Therefore, this research introduces the ensemble machine learning models with RFE algorithm to enhance the detection efficiency of DDoSAttack floods. We compare the performance of the proposed algorithm with the other well-known algorithms in terms of time efficiency, accuracy and CPU-usage. Four types of accuracy are considered. Proposed ensemble machine learning algorithm usually saves more on computing resources than other techniques that use neural networks. From the results, we found that the proposed algorithm offers better performance than other algorithms in term of accuracy, precision, testing time and CPU-usage.","PeriodicalId":216904,"journal":{"name":"2022 7th International Conference on Business and Industrial Research (ICBIR)","volume":"109 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128433712","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Twenty young Thai adults were interviewed in a qualitative research about changes in their brand consumption as a direct result of having to stay at home for months to prevent the spread of Covid-19. The interviewees were asked open-ended questions about their favorite and most consumed brands before lockdowns and how the preferences changed during lockdowns as well as how the pandemic has changed their brand perceptions. The results showed a huge and relatively permanent increase in customers spending more time and money online with their preferences shifting to brands that have a strong digital presence. In order for companies to adapt to these changes, they must prioritize maximizing value through key factors which include smoothly transitioning to digitization, offering affordable products with constant promotions, and ensuring fast, reliable deliveries.","PeriodicalId":216904,"journal":{"name":"2022 7th International Conference on Business and Industrial Research (ICBIR)","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127547665","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
