In a patient-focused analysis, monitoring that becomes necessary is oximetry. This research demonstrates an integrated solution for: collecting population oximetry data, concentrating collections in a cloud computing structure and generating epidemiological data, and a low-cost solution (several nations are in serious economic difficulties). The research had the following steps: to develop an oximetry device with a low cost market microprocessor, to integrate the oximeter developed with a web platform (to minimize the contact between healthy population, doctors and infected), to carry out real samples collections with the prototype and a recognized brand in the market (in order to compare the quality of the response obtained). There were 17 days of measurements, 3 times a day, in 3 patients, in Belo Horizonte city (3,000,000 inhabitants). An oximeter with the ESP32 microprocessor was developed due to its processing capacity. In the data collection, it forwards the measurements to a web structure, hosted on Cloud with a tab with a heat map of patient concentration. During the comparisons, the rates of: Beat per Minute (BPM) and SpO2 were verified. It was found 0% variation in oximetry measurements and a maximum variation of 7.25% BPM. The prototype is 60% cheaper than the competitor (in Brazilian Reais), adding population management capabilities in municipalities with low purchasing power.","PeriodicalId":216728,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of ‏The 3rd International Conference on Research in Science, Engineering and Technology","volume":"34 15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116278286","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Tocafundo","doi":"10.33422/3rd.icrset.2021.03.50","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.33422/3rd.icrset.2021.03.50","url":null,"abstract":"The purchase process of a large cosmetic and perfumery company is one of the pillars of its existence. When this process is time consuming or has a high concentration of responsibilities on a single manager, the productivity curve of the process can be affected. This fact is aggravated by the new perspectives of work and production due to COVID-19, where a high rate of unemployment and concentration of activities has permeated companies. This work demonstrates the application of the concepts of modelling and simulation, with the application of Stochastic Timed Petri Nets (STPN) as a proposal for efficient management. The first stage of the research consisted of an evaluation of the process in two aspects: the sequence of activities and time and money resources involved. The purchasing processes of the company were evaluated for four months at this stage. The second stage demonstrates the application of STPNs to manage the evaluated process. As a result, it was found that the financial values that guide service orders are between R$ 5.00 to R$ 80,000.00 Brazilian reais (totalling approximately R$ 800,000.00 during the analysis period), with service orders that accumulated approximately 120 days of delay for their resolution. In addition, a complete flowchart of the purchase process was developed, which enabled the use of STPNs. A simulator was created with the ability to identify bottlenecks (demonstrating the sectors and managers that need readjustments) and demonstrated proposals with 20% increase in the operational efficiency.","PeriodicalId":216728,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of ‏The 3rd International Conference on Research in Science, Engineering and Technology","volume":"122 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129918013","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Health, finance, safety, and even social and human values are not the same as they used to be in the pre-pandemic era. The world has witnessed exemplary acts of kindness and cooperation during this crisis. The pandemic has also provided criminals new opportunities to target their victims, who are now more vulnerable. France faced a massive surge in cybercrimes during the pandemic. In 2020, more than 14 million people became the victim of cyber-attacks in France, leading to a cumulative loss of 3 billion US dollars. Phishing scams, counterfeit protective goods and other medical supplies, malicious medical applications, and fake alerts on COVID-19 were the common techniques used by cybercriminals to target victims. French cyber-crime unit (FCU) has taken proactive measures to fight against such crimes. On such a basis, this presentation seeks to address and analyse the following issues: Firstly, the impact of Covid-19 on the spread of online scams and the techniques used by offenders. Secondly, an analysis of the existing legislative and regulatory framework and their efficiency in combating this form of organised crime will be provided, taking France as a case study. Finally, the paper will conclude by discussing the steps that should be taken to protect Internet users and society and minimise the risk of utilising ICTs in illegal criminal activities, especially concerning Covid-19 scams.","PeriodicalId":216728,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of ‏The 3rd International Conference on Research in Science, Engineering and Technology","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129657990","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The manufacture of craft beers corresponds to an interesting sector for the economy of any country. However, this does not exempt anyone from going through complicated situations, such as what happened at the Backer brewery and its product contamination process. So, this paper aims to demonstrate the implementation of a discrete event modeling and simulation process, based on stochastic timed petri nets (STPN) for a gluten-free craft beer manufacturing process. The developed tool was submitted to uniform and exponential distribution functions. Its operation was weighted by a real manufacturing process for the specific type of beer evaluated. The simulator demonstrated the ability to abstract all the stages of product manufacture. In addition, the tool was able to understand both distribution functions that the manufacturing process can assume, through a literature tool, STPN. This process can be applicable in small entrepreneurs., which sometimes cannot afford (or do not understand how it works) simulation software.","PeriodicalId":216728,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of ‏The 3rd International Conference on Research in Science, Engineering and Technology","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116847514","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Several small businesses and industries have reduced their productivity or even closed down. As a result, companies that still survive this complicated period must rely on intelligent (but accessible) resources to guide their survival on the market. The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate an integrated and affordable tool, based on technologies such as mobile applications, Cloud Computing and discrete event simulation to guide small manufacturers in the bakery sector. The solution has a robust mobile application to control the inventory, sales and product prices (with customer records, prices and reports control). Its database is managed via cloud computing. However, the great contribution is the connection of this solution with a simulator based on Stochastic Timed Petri Nets, which is integrated with the mobile application through the cloud commuting. This tool manages to model and simulate each type of product, with its time and resources spent during the manufacturing process, with production hierarchy according to the production priority that the manufacturer requests. Its focus is the intelligent management and identification of bottlenecks and evaluation of production scenarios. In a practical application in a small real industry, in the middle of a pandemic period, it was possible to make optimizations that still keep the enterprise open, such as evaluations of equipment purchases, reassessment of processes (which yielded a 9% increase in productivity without any financial investment and just maintenance of some work positions) and readjustment of material purchases.","PeriodicalId":216728,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of ‏The 3rd International Conference on Research in Science, Engineering and Technology","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131268786","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus, a structure that integrates some of the most used technologies today, such as: mobile applications, cloud computing, data analytics, modeling and simulation to discrete events; is presented in this paper as an accessible tool for health clinics. Real data from six months of analysis in a medium-sized health clinic situated at a university in Belo Horizonte, guided the demand, design, implementation and testing of the developed tool. As results, the following items were obtained: a mobile application for inventory management, with authentication control (of teachers, students and others involved) and access levels; a cloud computing structure for data consolidation and feasibility for data analytics; and a modeling and simulation structure, based on stochastically timed Petri nets (STPN) for the evaluation of continuous or fixed supply replenishment contracts. As contributions, this solution includes: consolidation of input stock data; smart spending management; in addition to the ability to simulate scenarios to assess the effects of contracting replenishment of inputs in the health area. Questions like: what is the best form of replacement contract? is it better to buy an entire stock or stipulate continuous replenishment? These and other questions can be answered by the simulator developed via STPN helping clinics and hospitals of different sizes on the management of their supplies.","PeriodicalId":216728,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of ‏The 3rd International Conference on Research in Science, Engineering and Technology","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134306472","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
