Measuring the satisfaction of software using questionnaires may be misleading due to the difficulties in expressing their satisfaction through natural language. Therefore, this project proposes to extend the usability testing with emotion recognition based on multimodal inputs by defining test scenarios with required emotional state distinction on the scenarios. This project is equipped with a real-time human expression recognition software which displays the emotion detected on the screen. Example of the emotions are “happy”, “sad”, “angry”, “neutral” and so on. The method applied in this project is a convolutional neural network (CNN). CNN will be constructed with Keras using TensorFlow backend. All the process of analysis will be done using Spyder IDE using Python as the programming language. The library such as TensorFlow and sklearn will be imported for this building of this project. Each prediction will be visualized as a line graph. The facial expression detection should be able to accurately tell the emotion of the user throughout the usability test and developers will be able to make improvements based on the results. In this paper, a data channelling architecture, i.e., Open Platform Communication Unified Architecture (OPC UA) is used to test on manufacturing machine. Data will be channelled and stored into a centralized hub through OPC UA. Predictive analysis process, one of the useful features of Smart Manufacturing is used to analyse the data stored in centralized hub instantly when the data is collected from the machine. This instantaneous action is to make sure the data in the data collector, which is from the machine will not alter or missing. In this research, OPC UA standard is applied to ensure the results of data channelling fulfill the requirement of Smart Manufacturing implementation. As a result, the OPC UA Server serves more data channeling processes when there is an increment of data bits and it reduces the transmission speed, in both local and VPN connection. When using social media sites, organisations are often keen to maximise engagements from their target audiences. Companies tend to create posts to which their audience will reply, retweet, comment, share and like. However, different types of contents from posts can impact on three interaction metrics: likes, comments and shares. In this paper, we investigate the factors that characterise the posts with which an audience engages. The results showed that media and content type of posts have a positive significant impact on customer engagement. The study also demonstrated the importance of an active online participation and communication among consumers will ultimately impact their purchase behaviour in reality. However, this language is not practised in public due to the deaf community being a minority and it takes time to learn and skilled manpower to assist the deaf in public interaction. Thus, this study aims to produce a Malaysian Sign Language Recognition (MSLR) application to recognise MSL alphabets to help normal people communicate with the deaf. The proposed work involves a few stages that consist of background subtraction to detect the moving hand, skin segmentation based on skin tones using YCbCr (Luminance, Chrominance) colour space for robustness in illumination and a 2D Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) model for feature extraction and classification of 24 alphabets. As MSL alphabets are similar to American Sign Language (ASL) alphabets, the ASL FingerSpelling Dataset from the University of Surrey’s Center for Vision, Speech and Signal Processing is used for model training and testing. Evaluation criteria include micro averages in Precision, Recall and F1-Score. The test accuracy is 79.54% with misclassifications on letters such as ‘E’ and ‘Q’ due to the signing orientation and similarity in finger articulation. Facing the challenge of the 21st century standard of learning, the university needed an upgrade of its infrastructure. Technology can be a powerful tool to transform the way students learn. This study is focused on technology integration into the tertiary curriculum to transform education by engaging and empowering learning through the use of technology. Tools for learning are identified for life-long learners to remain globally competitive and continuously engage and advanced in a digitally connected environment. Employing technology in learning is transcending. Educators must serve as collaborators in learning, always in quest for new knowledge and skills so that the needs for all learners will be met. Furthermore, the administration should also set a vision to conform to the needs of the university to provide authentic learning experiences that provide the accurate tools for learning. The flexibility and power of technology can make learning possible everywhere and all the time. Learning resources must embody the design principles that would maximize the use of technology in support for teaching and learning. Ten projects have been selected for alpha testing and beta testing in stages. Due to the nature of projects are varied, a software testing strategy has to be designed and set in order to standardize the testing tools for the experiment. Levels of test have been applied during the development of the applications to detect possible defects in the applications. Specifically, the system aimed to strengthen and improve the implementation of EIA among mountain resort development projects through an objective, transparent and fast-paced evaluation of EIA documents. The knowledge-based system was developed using e2gRuleWriter to generate its knowledge base and e2gRuleEngine as expert system shell. The human domain experts were purposively selected as the source of knowledge of the system. Through knowledge engineering, the knowledge of the domain experts was captured and became the basis for the development of the expert system rules which were presented in production rules format to assess the project description and activities of mountain resort developments. The developed expert system rules were validated using resolution principle to ensure its correctness. The human domain experts further validated the developed expert system rules by confirming that the knowledge-based system produces correct recommendation. Marohomsalic","doi":"10.56453/icdxa.2020.1019","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.56453/icdxa.2020.1019","url":null,"abstract":"This study involves the development of a Flood Monitoring System (FMS) accessible via SMS. Specifically, this study was conducted in 2016, focusing on Metro Manila traffic and flood-prone roads in the metropolis. The initial findings may be useful to urban planners and can be integrated by the government to future development plans to mitigate flood-related incidents. In Metro Manila, heavy rains lead to road flooding causing traffic congestion, road closures, even traffic accidents (AER, 2015). Flooding has become a common cause of costly damages to vehicles (Jimeno, K, 2014). To avoid traffic mishaps, motorists may access flood-related information through social media or road navigation apps which provide crowdsourced updates on heavy traffics, inaccessible roads and floods status (CNN Philippines 2016). However, such is not entirely reliable, requires data subscriptions and limited to smartphone users. In the Philippines, once dubbed as the ‘texting capital of the world’, some 1.4 billion SMS are sent everyday (DICT 2015). Hence, an SMS-based flood monitoring system providing real-time standardized road accessibility status information of flood-prone roads in Metro Manila is an interesting proposition. This design includes product development of the Flood Monitoring Device (FMD) prototype and IT project management plan crafted for potential implementation.
