Moreover these search engines do not support temporal queries effectively. The commercial temporal search prototypes focus on the crawl time and creation of web pages and thus do not give relevant results for the given query. This work identifies the temporal constraints in a keyword query and intercepts the query processing to evaluate constraints effectively.","PeriodicalId":216110,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Information Systems and Computer Networks","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-03-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126264466","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With the exponential growth of WWW, it has become difficult to access desired information that matches with user needs and interest. In spite of strong crawling, indexing and page ranking techniques, the returned result-sets of the search engine lack in accuracy and preciseness. Large number of irrelevant links, topic drift, and load on servers are some of the other issues that need to be addressed towards developing an efficient search engine. In this paper a solution is being proposed for the development of a crawling technique that attempts to reduce server load by taking advantage of migrants for downloading the relevant pages; pertaining to a specific topic only. The downloaded documents are then ranked considering user preferences and past usage patterns of the web page thereby improving the quality of retuned result-sets.","PeriodicalId":216110,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Information Systems and Computer Networks","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-03-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130569293","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As a first step in the research activity, Research scholar has to undertake literature survey, which enables them to understand the domain of their research and to identify the problem, which they would like to address. This literature survey maps to searching the web for published papers in different professional society like ACM, IEEE and by any related digital library of their domain of interest. These Professional Societies have knowledge base regarding research publication. The knowledge base uses ontology build by ontology expert of that domain, publically available to reuse. These ontologies suffer from the limitations of domain knowledge. We have proposed a novel scheme to map among different types of ontology build by different professional society using Metadata of research publication. To map ontology we use DDC (Dewey Decimal Code), a classification system, to fit different domain ontologies into one based on the metadata. The metadata play vital role to make ontology, which are obtained from research publications, has attributes Subject, Title, keyword, Author Name, and Affiliation etc. This Integrated ontology is generalization of world knowledge.","PeriodicalId":216110,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Information Systems and Computer Networks","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-03-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127414020","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A trademark play a significant role to distinguish the symbol or indicator used by an individual, commercial organization, or other authorized entity to recognize that the products or services to clients with which the trademark appears initiate from a unique source. However, measuring perceptual similarity and defining appropriate similarity measure between trademark images remain a challenging task. In this paper, we propose a method for trademark image retrieval which is based on shape and texture features of trademark images. Zernike moment and curvelet transform is used as shape and texture feature respectively. A weighted average distance is used for similarity measure. Results illustrate that combining shape feature with curvelet based texture feature performs well in precision.","PeriodicalId":216110,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Information Systems and Computer Networks","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-03-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125186201","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As, no IT Project can ever be risk free. Here we are proposing a framework of automated risk removal model which identifies, classifies and generates solution patches to solve the problems caused by software risks. This is a phase wise process of risk removal. First, risk sources and risks are identified, after that they are classified, and then solution patches are generated and applied on encountered problem. At the end performance of the project is evaluated after risk removal. This framework of process has auto feedback mechanism. Using this model framework project manager will be able to develop better risk management strategies and more effective risk planning decisions.","PeriodicalId":216110,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Information Systems and Computer Networks","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-03-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121597089","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The common process for this is to divide the whole network into various coverage areas. Every coverage area elects its coverage agent who is responsible to collect the malicious information from its coverage area and share it with the other coverage areas. This will help to protect the computer network against malicious attacks. The core for this process is cooperative agent framework and enhancement of it will lead to increase in the security & performance of the computer network. The paper deals to enhance the cooperative framework in respect of the security of the function of cooperative agent as it will be having the more degree of the sensitivity of the malicious attack.","PeriodicalId":216110,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Information Systems and Computer Networks","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-03-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129582035","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many semantic web search engines have been developed like Ontolook, Swoogle, etc that helps in searching meaningful documents presented on semantic web. The concept of semantic similarity has been widely used in many fields like artificial intelligence, cognitive science, natural language processing, psychology. To relate entities/texts/documents having same meaning, semantic similarity approach is used based on matching of the keywords which are extracted from the documents using syntactic parsing. The simple lexical matching usually used by semantic search engine does not extract web documents to the user expectations. In this paper we have proposed a ranking scheme for the semantic web documents by finding the semantic similarity between the documents and the query which is specified by the user. The novel approach proposed in this paper not only relies on the syntactic structure of the document but also considers the semantic structure of the document and the query. The approach used here includes the lexical as well as the conceptual matching. The combined use of conceptual, linguistic and ontology based matching has significantly improved the performance of the proposed ranking scheme. We explore all relevant relations between the keywords exploring the user's intention and then calculate the fraction of these relations on each web page to determine their relevance with respect to the query provided by the user. We have found that this semantic similarity based ranking scheme gives much better results than those by the prevailing methods.","PeriodicalId":216110,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Information Systems and Computer Networks","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-03-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123334585","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These recommendations are based on the user's own purchasing, searching or browsing history and also that of other consumers with similar interests. These systems are often embedded in e-commerce applications with the aim to provide efficient personalized recommendations that are of mutual value to both the buyer and the seller. This paper presents a novel neural network based approach that employs associative memory model to make recommendations for purchase to consumers. Associative memory models are inherently able to solve pattern completion problem. This intrinsic property is of immense value in building efficient recommender systems for e-commerce applications that present consumers with recommendations they are likely to have a higher acceptance. The results of experiments based on this model compare favorably with those from the standard user-based algorithm.","PeriodicalId":216110,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Information Systems and Computer Networks","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-03-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128651938","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
