The CP radiation patch is comprised of a truncated corner square patch loaded by an extended strip. The AGS which is comprised of a 4 × 4 slot-loaded square metal patches changes the reflection phase in accordance with the polarization state of the incident wave. Broad bandwidth including impedance bandwidth, 3-dB axial ratio (AR) bandwidth, and gain bandwidth is achieved by properly combining the transmitted wave from the patch antenna and the reflected wave from the AGS. The measured results show that the AR bandwidth of the antenna is 14.0% (2.84–3.26 GHz), while the impedance bandwidth is 41.3% (2.48–3.72 GHz). The antenna gain at boresight is 5.35 dBic at 2.9 GHz. The gain fluctuation is less than 1 dB in the whole operating bandwidth. The overall antenna volume is 0.40 × 0.40 × 0.048λ0 at 3 GHz.","PeriodicalId":212550,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Workshop on Antenna Technology (iWAT)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132200474","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on the parallel negative feedback topology, an extraordinary high gain and a low noise figure (NF) can be achieved in the LNA operating from 2GHz to 8 GHz after the input and output impedance matching. Simulation and experimental results show that the LNA has a good performance. Measured results show that the LNA can give over 34-dB gain, less than 3.47-dB NF and 4.39-dB in-band gain flatness from 2 GHz to 8 GHz. It also provides less than −11-dB S11/S22 and over 5-dBm P1dB performance in the work band.","PeriodicalId":212550,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Workshop on Antenna Technology (iWAT)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127824245","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed log-periodic monopole antenna array removed the complicated feeding network in the design of the conventional log-periodic monopole antenna array, and corrected the errors discussion in design of the log-periodic monopole antenna array that is not formed the cross-inverting feeding on the ground plane. The proposed log-periodic monopole antenna uses the slot line as feed circuit to achieve the cross feed on the ground plane while keeping the symmetry of the antenna structure. The proposed antenna can keep good end-fire radiation over the whole operational frequency (6GHz-18GHz). The proposed 1-bit surface is designed based on reflection phase cancellation principle where the proposed unit cell of a modified Venus-like shape metallic resonator (as “0” element) and its mirrored-unit cell (as “1” element) are randomly distributed across the surface aperture to realize the required phase difference. The proposed surface can scatter (diffuse) the incident EM-wave into several low level lobes in many directions in the half space in front of the surface, and as a result, dramatically reduce the backscattering and RCS. The proposed surface has good backscattering characteristics under both normal and oblique incidence of EM-waves.","PeriodicalId":212550,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Workshop on Antenna Technology (iWAT)","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117039496","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
