The ointment, containing 5% of the extract, was infused into mammary glands of six female Saanen goats. The experiments were conducted in three experimental moments and involved physicochemical analysis of milk and natural yogurt production. The mean values of solids-not-fat, protein, and lactose content in the milk samples did not differ significantly. Moreover, the physicochemical aspects of the yogurt samples showed similar results between the two treatments. The mean scores of sensory evaluations except taste did not differ significantly between the two treatments. Therefore, the physicochemical characteristics of goat milk and yogurt, the yield, and the qualitative evaluation of the final product were not affected by the Jatobá ointment.","PeriodicalId":21187,"journal":{"name":"Revista Brasileira de Ciências Agrárias - Brazilian Journal of Agricultural Sciences","volume":"41 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90375053","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Two experiments were carried out in Salto-SP in 2018 and 2019. The randomized block design was used, with seven treatments: inoculated control (application of water and inoculum with Altenaria sp.), absolute control (application of water), azoxystrobin, boscalid, boscalid + azoxystrobin, pyraclostrobin and boscalid + pyraclostrobin, and five replications. To verify the photosynthetic efficiency of plants, analysis of chlorophyll a fluorescence and leaf gas exchange was performed at 50, 95 and 120 DAT. It was also verified the disease severity (%) and finally and the total and commercial production of fruits. From the results, under this research conditions, the tested fungicide application promoted positive physiological responses in tomato plants, controlling early blight disease and increasing fruit production. The application of the fungicides boscalid and azoxystrobin + boscalid can be a management tool for Alternaria sp. for tomatoes, for controlling the progress of the disease as well as for promoting better physiological and productive responses.","PeriodicalId":21187,"journal":{"name":"Revista Brasileira de Ciências Agrárias - Brazilian Journal of Agricultural Sciences","volume":"81 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74086865","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, little is known about fungal community structure in these crops. This work aimed to evaluate the structure of soil fungal communities in eucalyptus forests as a function of rhizosphere effect and crop cycles of this crop. We used the independent PCR-DGGE method to evaluate the structure of the soil fungal community in Eucalyptus urograndis plantations located in the Vale do Rio Doce region, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The rhizospheric and non-rhizospheric portions of the soil were sampled in an area of recent forest establishment and in an area under multiple cycles. The principal component analysis revealed that the rhizosphere microenvironment is the dominant component in structuring the fungal communities in the areas studied, and this effect is more pronounced in the area of recent establishment of eucalyptus culture. The same pattern was found for the richness and diversity values, with the greatest differences found in the recently established area. In both studied areas the dominance of the order Agaricales prevailed, evidencing the role of the fungal community in the cycling of nutrients in the soil.","PeriodicalId":21187,"journal":{"name":"Revista Brasileira de Ciências Agrárias - Brazilian Journal of Agricultural Sciences","volume":"14 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74491553","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Tomato variety Alambra F1 was grown to conduct the experiment in a randomized block design, with 4 repetitions, in a 5 × 5 factorial scheme, being 5 doses of nitrogen and 5 doses of potassium at levels 0, 50, 100, 150, and 200% for each nutrient and in a 5 × 5 factorial design, being 0, 0.5, 1, 1.5, and 2 for each ratio between nitrogen and potassium (N/K) in the analyses on the leafminer fly. For infestation, the 3 rd or 4 th leaf was selected and covered with a Voile-type cloth bag with 10 leaf fly adults for 24 hours. The confinement test took place on the 3 rd or 4 th leaf, where nitrogen and potassium contents, larval and pupal duration and viability, longevity and sex ratio of the adults were also analyzed. The tomato plants showed increasing levels of nitrogen and potassium as their respective levels increased in the combinations studied. The N/K 1/1 ratio showed unfavorable averages for the insect as egg viability and/or larval development of Liriomyza sativae , indicating a possible induced resistance of the tomato plants to the leafminer fly .","PeriodicalId":21187,"journal":{"name":"Revista Brasileira de Ciências Agrárias - Brazilian Journal of Agricultural Sciences","volume":"41 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78620905","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The data come from the state and southern Brazilian tests of lines and cultivars conducted in the state, totaling twenty-four environments and forty-eight genotypes of beans, which were evaluated in the conditions of first and second crop (12 environments each), in agricultural years 2012/13, 2013/14 and 2014/15. The analyzes were divided into the two cultivation conditions, using the model of main additive effects and multiplicative interaction. The first crop showed a greater effect of the genotype x environment interaction on the total variation, compared to the second. The genotypes showed stability to few environments, with favorable or unfavorable association of grain yield. The objective of this study was to evaluate the use of ProCa in combination with two doses of nitrogen fertilizer in cover, in the morphophysiological and productive performance of corn hybrids. Experiments were performed with corn hybrids AS1757 VTPRO3 and AG9025 VTPRO3 , in a randomized block design, factorial 2×2, with four replications. The treatments consisted of the application of nitrogen fertilizer in cover, 1x and 2x the recommended dose, and in the absence or presence of the application of ProCa. The single effect of ProCa on the hybrid AS1757 VTPRO3 increased the SPAD index by 20%; in the AG9025 VTPRO3 hybrid there was a reduction of 8.6 cm in the height of ear insertion and increments of 2.2 mm in the stem diameter. The application of ProCa with 2x N ha -1 increased, on average, 8.2% the number of leaves of the AS1757 VTPRO3 hybrid compared to the application to 1x N ha -1 . There is single effect of ProCa on morphophysiological characteristics in the tested hybrids, but without affecting its grain yield. Therefore, the study aimed to evaluate the physiological quality of mandacaru seeds under different conservation conditions during storage. The seeds were stored for a period of twelve months, comprising the 0 (control), 2, 4, 6, 8, and 12 months in two conservation conditions (10 ± 1 and 24 ± 2 °C), two packages (paper and glass), and two collection areas (Caatinga and Atlantic Forest). The number of germinated seeds was counted daily for 21 days after root protrusion. The evaluated variables were: water content (%), germination (%) and germination speed index (GSI). There germination and vigor of mandacaru seeds stored at room temperature decreased over time. The paper packaging was more efficient than the glass container when the seeds were kept at room temperature. The mandacaru seeds, when kept in the refrigerator, had their physiological quality preserved, and this condition is indicated as ideal for the conservation seeds, regardless of the tested packaging.","PeriodicalId":21187,"journal":{"name":"Revista Brasileira de Ciências Agrárias - Brazilian Journal of Agricultural Sciences","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90892589","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
