Thus, the objective was to evaluate the application of phosphorus doses in the implantation of Mimosa caesalpiniaefolia in a degraded area. The experimental design was a randomized complete block design with four blocks, with treatments at the following doses: 0, 12.5, 25.0, 50.0 and 100.0 g plant -1 of P 2 O 5 (source: triple superphosphate), whose quantities used were folded the following year and applied in the projection of the crown. The variables measured were biometric attributes (height, stem diameter in base and in breast height), biomass, nutrient accumulation (whole plant) and soil fertility. There was an increase in height and diameter of the plant, biomass, accumulation of phosphorus in the plant and increase of phosphorus concentrations in the soil. The application of 29 g of P 2 O 5 in the pit and after implantation, it is recommended to apply 47 g of P 2 O 5 per plant in the projection of saplings seedlings in low phosphorus soils, after first year .","PeriodicalId":21187,"journal":{"name":"Revista Brasileira de Ciências Agrárias - Brazilian Journal of Agricultural Sciences","volume":"86 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80622312","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The micropropagation technique can work around this problem, as it allows the production of high quality phytosanitary seedlings. The objective of this work was to evaluate different culture media in the in vitro multiplication of ‘Inhame da Costa’ plants. Mini-cuttings with one lateral bud were inoculated in flasks containing MS, Galzy and 2GGC culture media, in solid and liquid consistencies, in an experimental design entirely randomized in a 3 × 2 factorial scheme. Cultivation was carried out in a growth room with 27 ± 1 °C, photon flow density of 30 μmol m-2 s-1 and photoperiod of 16 hours. At 90 days of cultivation, the plant height (cm), the number of shoots, the number of senescent leaves, the number of green leaves, the number of minicuttings and the fresh and dry masses of aerial parts and roots (mg). The explants were 100% responsive in all treatments and the 2GGC medium was the most efficient for in vitro multiplication, with liquid consistency being the most suitable for the micropropagation of ‘Inhame da Costa’.","PeriodicalId":21187,"journal":{"name":"Revista Brasileira de Ciências Agrárias - Brazilian Journal of Agricultural Sciences","volume":"36 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85340525","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The use of biofertilizers is an option for arrowroot fertilization. This study was carried out with the objective of evaluating the vegetative growth of arrowroot fertilized by different biofertilizers sources and doses. The experiment was conducted in a randomized block, in subdivided plots, with four replicatens. The plots consisted of 17 growth evaluation periods, between 42 and 282 days after planting, the subplots by fertilizer sources (bovine and sheep manure) and the sub-plots by biofertilizer rates (0, 300, 600, 900, and 1,200 mL plant -1 week -1 ). Plant height (PH), number of leaves (NL), number of tillers (NT) and pseudostem base diameter (D) were evaluated every two weeks. PH, NL, NT and D maximum were obtained with 1,200 mL plant -1 week -1 of bovine and ovine biofertilizers. Exception to PH in the sheep source, maximum at 1,045 mL plant -1 week -1 . Availability of nutrients was higher with 1,200 mL plant -1 week -1 , favoring the growth of plants. Bovine and sheep manure biofertilizers based are effective for supplying the nutritional requirements of common arrowroot.","PeriodicalId":21187,"journal":{"name":"Revista Brasileira de Ciências Agrárias - Brazilian Journal of Agricultural Sciences","volume":"68 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"91113710","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research was developed in the dry period in the Brazilian Semiarid region, using 18 females with 120 days of age and weighing 21.33 ± 2.62 kg. It was used a completely randomized design with three treatments and six replications. A 3 × 4 factorial was used for the surface temperature, with three types of floor and four collection times, applying the Tukey test at 5% probability and regression analysis by the SAS software. For the morphometric measures, ingestive behavior, and performance of the animals, the Tukey test at 5% was applied through the PROC GLM, and the continuous behavioral measures had their frequencies compared by the Chi-square test at the level of 5% through the PROC FREQ. The sand floor had the highest surface temperature concerning the other floors, regardless of the time. The animals kept on the masonry floor had a reduction of 6.17 and 5.56 cm in the upper length of the front hull and a reduction of 3.37 and 3.36 cm in the rear hull, respectively. The ingestive behavior and performance of the animals (90 g animal -1 day -1 ) were not affected by the type of floor used .","PeriodicalId":21187,"journal":{"name":"Revista Brasileira de Ciências Agrárias - Brazilian Journal of Agricultural Sciences","volume":"43 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90866147","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
