The consumer perspective on the quality and popularity of a product can be deduced from the product reviews, available at social media platforms by performing sentiment analysis. Sentiment analysis tells about the polarity of a sentence whether positive, negative or neutral. It can be used to predict personality, age and gender, based on writing style using feature extraction on the labeled training data sets. Understanding human emotions and opinions from text is a difficult task and to make it easier, sentiment analyzers are used. This paper proposes a method for prediction of age groups namely teenagers, adults and senior citizens from textual data collected from twitter and compares performance of different classifiers such as K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN), Multi-layer Perceptron (MLP), Decision tree, Random forest and Support Vector Machine (SVM), based on certain performance metrics like f-score, precision, recall and accuracy. One of the basic applications of this work can be for web readability analysis of resources, available on Internet.","PeriodicalId":210400,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Software Development and Technologies for Enhancing Accessibility and Fighting Info-exclusion","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121151434","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Leporini, Giuseppe Catanzaro","doi":"10.1145/3439231.3440615","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1145/3439231.3440615","url":null,"abstract":"In this work, App Inventor is presented as a potential tool to develop an accessible app in order to convey contents and information. As use case, we considered the readability of a leaflet used to provide useful information to the general public. Usually this type of contents is presented in a static PDF format, which cannot be easily read on a touch screen. In this work, App Inventor is used to convey information in a more interactive and readable way via a mobile app. The study was specifically aimed at investigating (1) the accessibility support provided by App Inventor, and (2) the usage of an interactive mobile app as a possible tool to enhance content readability on a touch-screen device. The designed app showed that accessibility is supported by App Inventor, although some minor issues have been detected in the user interface design. Finally a set of possible design suggestions has been proposed.","PeriodicalId":210400,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Software Development and Technologies for Enhancing Accessibility and Fighting Info-exclusion","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129258952","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is illustrated through the OOXML example. In the first section the authors review the evolution of the OOXML specification through its different versions, pointing out deficiencies of the versions currently implemented. In the second section the research analyses which elements of Microsoft Word's interface hinder the creation of accessible documents. The methodology was (1) a literature review of articles and technical reports related to OOXML and to digital documents accessibility. Afterwards, (2a) a critical review of accessibility requirements and their implementation was carried out through an analysis of the code generated by OOXML by comparing with the code generated by Open Document Format (ODF). Finally, (2b) a critical review on how the authoring tool interface generates OOXML documents was performed. As a result of the research, it can be stated that strict OOXML is not implemented in practice, and it is the only version which could grant accessibility. Therefore, this format usability and accessibility is jeopardized by the lack of clarity of code and documents predominantly created in the non-strict version.","PeriodicalId":210400,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Software Development and Technologies for Enhancing Accessibility and Fighting Info-exclusion","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123716405","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Hughes","doi":"10.1145/3439231.3440602","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1145/3439231.3440602","url":null,"abstract":"The advances in VR technology has led to immersive videos rapidly gaining popularity. Accessibility to immersive media should be offered and subtitles are the most popular accessibility service. Research on subtitle readability has led to guidelines and standards (W3C, ISO/IEC/ITU 20071-23:2018). More research into subtitle presentation modes in 360º is needed in order to move towards understanding optimum readability. Evaluating readability for subtitles in immersive media environments requires a flexible and user-friendly framework for both creating the subtitles and presenting the generated subtitle file in a fully functional immersive video player, in order to understand the final view in the environment and assess its quality. This article starts by looking at the readability recommendations in W3C and ISO/IEC/ITU. The second part will describe the new features required in immersive subtitle presentations. The final section will describe the new web-based framework that allows the generation of immersive subtitles where readability may be tested. The framework has adopted a contrast and comparison approach towards instant readability evaluation.","PeriodicalId":210400,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Software Development and Technologies for Enhancing Accessibility and Fighting Info-exclusion","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124531451","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
