The Z2 symmetry helps to prevent any decay of the possible dark matter candidate, that is, guarantees the stability of the dark matter. The dark matter candidate is proposed as the lightest mirror neutrino. This Z2 discrete symmetry not only guarantees the stability of the dark matter but also controls the free parameters of the model such that they are significantly reduced. Then, mass spectrum of neutrinos is also discussed in two possible scenarios obtained by assigning charge under Z2 symmetry. For one of the scenarios we obtain the relic density for the dark matter candidate and the spin independent scattering cross section between dark matter and proton (neutron).","PeriodicalId":210091,"journal":{"name":"Suplemento de la Revista Mexicana de Física","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132602433","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This provides a solution to the strong CP problem and an explanation to the fermion mass hierarchy. At leading order, the quark mass matrix possess a Nearest-Neighbour-Interaction structure, while the neutrino mass matrix has a Majorana A2 texture. From a thorough numerical analysis the viability of this model is asserted, by comparing against current measurements. The data obtained from this analysis is then used to study properties from the axion.","PeriodicalId":210091,"journal":{"name":"Suplemento de la Revista Mexicana de Física","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133782801","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

X-rays energies were around the Ti-K absorption edge emulating a transmission experiment, and the irradiation with 5300 eV X-rays for a fluorescence experiment. The method consists of introducing the data that describes a characteristic R3c structure of the polarized ceramic, reported in the literature. The absorption coefficients for the energies of interest, as well as the energy deposited in the form of radiation doses, are calculated. Intensity changes for specific energy lines in the micro-fluorescence spectra, which suggest the presence of vacancies in the crystal structure, are verified via simulation. The vacancy density produced by a typical photon flux of a fourth-generation synchrotron beam is calculated through the threshold displacement energy for vacancy production. Consequently, the simulation is carried out for a structure with appropriate Bi and O vacancies, and the ability to detect the radiation damage is verified by comparison with micro-XRF and XAFS experimental results. The simulation predicts a maximum dose of 1.21-1.27x105 Gy irradiating 107 photons for the given energy and a maximum vacancy density of 1.10x108 / micron3 for oxygen atoms and 6.90x107 /micron3 for bismuth atoms.","PeriodicalId":210091,"journal":{"name":"Suplemento de la Revista Mexicana de Física","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121623428","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The site comprises about 70% of uranium reserves in Mexico. The uranium of Peña Blanca was explored and partially exploited in the '80s. Due to the closure of operations, the extracted and unprocessed ore (hundreds of tons) was confined to rocky stacks, exposed to weathering. Subject to leaching, this uranium is transported from the mountains to Laguna del Cuervo. The mineral exposed in the repository and the uranium transport by surface water and recent sediments must be studied, to assess the effects on the environment, with radiometric and materials science techniques in conventional laboratories and synchrotron light. This work presents the study of sediment and pore water samples at various points along the lagoon, and the values of the activity ratio of the 234U/238U isotopes and the sediment-water distribution coefficient of these isotopes, obtained by applying uranium liquid scintillation alpha spectrometry, gamma-ray spectrometry, scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction methods.","PeriodicalId":210091,"journal":{"name":"Suplemento de la Revista Mexicana de Física","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116120143","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Disk 4 Ring 1 (TEPXD4R1) will be dedicated to luminosity and beam-induced background measurements, utilising the same method as that of the rest of TEPX, namely pixel cluster counting. For the HL-LHC, the goal is to achieve a final uncertainty of 1% for offline luminosity measurements.
