In this way, its impact is studied, applying a possible classification based on its incidence and effects on the system. For this, the information provided by the data loggers of different photovoltaic installations has been analyzed and in turn compared with the data obtained in the reference installation. In addition, the Matlab-Simulink simulation model used is described. Different simulations have been developed to verify the basic characteristics of the proposed system. In this way, it is possible to check the advantages and drawbacks of the direct water pumping in irrigation applications. At the same time, the system parameters can be easily modified to meet the requirements of different water flow capacities. Also, the water hammer effect and the cavitation phenomenon in the water pump are described. Finally, the simulation results obtained as well as their conclusions are presented.","PeriodicalId":21007,"journal":{"name":"Renewable energy & power quality journal","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135210120","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This growing trend has been accompanied by several studies aiming to optimize energy exchanges and sharing inside the community, always taking into account the most favorable tariff regimes for community members. This paper presents an analysis that, based on applying a linear programming model, optimizes energy transactions in a renewable energy community with the integration of storage systems. The results show the developed model's effectiveness, presenting substantial profits for the community.","PeriodicalId":21007,"journal":{"name":"Renewable energy & power quality journal","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135210098","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The case study is performed by a commercial ferrite inductor employed in a synchronous boost converter encompassing a control system to adjust the duty cycle, assuring a constant output voltage. The thermal transient is described by the time domain waveforms and thermal images.","PeriodicalId":21007,"journal":{"name":"Renewable energy & power quality journal","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135210134","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The recent urgency in accelerating the decarbonization processes of economies has enhanced relevance to the analysis of this empirical relationship in the face of technological advances, regulatory changes, and the expanding uptake of renewable energy technologies worldwide. This article presents a bibliometric analysis of the literature on economic growth, energy consumption, and renewable energies in Brazil using clustering as a support tool. Between 1995 and 2022, 177 studies were published on Energy-Growth, Brazil, and Sustainability. It was found that China leads the ranking of publications, taking part in 28.84% of the production related to the link between economic growth and consumption of renewable energy in Brazil, followed by Turkey (21.52%) and Brazil (21.31%). The participation of other countries in the literature adds up to 32.29%. Keywords such as “ecological footprint,” “environmental sustainability,” “environmental Kuznets curve,” and “emissions” show how in recent years, the literature has been guided by a discussion related to economic-environmental factors. Another result was that the Granger causality test is a research frontier with the most significant associated strength.","PeriodicalId":21007,"journal":{"name":"Renewable energy & power quality journal","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135210091","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The modeling of an electromagnetic microgrid is discussed in this work to analyze energy effectiveness and entropy balance. The method computes the associated losses and simulates the electrical behavior of the components. The model is built and tested by using the MATLAB Simulink application. The system is made up of several blocks consisting of solar panels, batteries, consumer loads, and the inverter needed to connect them all. Their energy efficiency is assessed using the findings from each of these components. The system's entropy generation is also calculated to study how it relates to performance.","PeriodicalId":21007,"journal":{"name":"Renewable energy & power quality journal","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135210132","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
