The main results obtained reveal that the country is not self-sufficient in wheat production, nor does it stand out in exports, needing to import large quantities of wheat to meet domestic demand. Among the producing states, São Paulo was the only one to present Revealed Comparative Advantages, and external potential. Using panel data and country-specific fixed effects, we show that the technology spillovers of a country is explained by the Economic Complexity from its major trading partners. We build an endogenous growth model for all OECD countries for the 1966–2016 period; we draw the residuals to measure the Total Factor Productivity of each country. Then, using spatial econometrics, we regress the Total Factor Productivity of each country on the Economic Complexity Index of its major trading partners. In addition, we run a Random Coefficient Model, to let this relationship vary randomly by country. The research also investigates entrenched managers' preference for debt issue over equity issuance, i.e., the trend and pattern of financing capital structure. This paper also examines the impact of corporate governance on business financial performance. The norms and regulations that the corporation follows for its operation are also assessed in regard to management entrenchment and capital structure. Con el objetivo de restaurar el equilibrio presupuestario, se desarrolló una respuesta coordinada desde el ámbito europeo inducida por la política de reglas fijada por el Pacto de Estabilidad y Crecimiento, condicionando la política fiscal a largo plazo. \u0000La principal estrategia consiste en situar al ciudadano europeo en el centro del estudio, analizando cómo evoluciona el empleo, a partir de los datos proporcionados por EUSILC ante los intentos por restaurar el equilibrio presupuestario. La novedad del presente artículo reside en el enfoque empleado. \u0000La mayoría de los trabajos previos se han basado en un enfoque macro tratando de cuantificar cómo el crecimiento económico y la productividad impactaban en la vida diaria de los europeos. Sin embargo, la investigación en este estudio persigue aislar y cuantificar los posibles efectos diferenciales en las condiciones de vida en función de las variables analizadas. Carrasco","doi":"10.25115/sae.v42i1.9536","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.25115/sae.v42i1.9536","url":null,"abstract":"El Affordable Care Act (ACA), conocido en español como la Ley de Asistencia Sanitaria Asequible, fue promulgado en 2010 en los Estados Unidos con el propósito de ampliar la cobertura de servicios de salud y atención médica. Esta ley aborda diversos desafíos relacionados con el acceso, la calidad y los costos en el sistema de atención médica estadounidense. El objetivo principal de este artículo es realizar un análisis transversal de la aplicación del ACA en diferentes áreas: política, social, sanitaria, económica y de gestión. Como metodología, se utilizó una revisión sistemática de la literatura científica. Para garantizar la transparencia y trazabilidad de esta revisión, se siguió el protocolo PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses), que incluye las etapas de identificación de estudios relevantes, selección de dichos estudios, mapeo de datos, síntesis e informe de resultados. Entre los resultados más relevantes se destacan los siguientes aspectos: a nivel político, se requiere un mayor consenso para la implementación integral del ACA en los Estados Unidos; en términos económicos, el ACA ha popularizado fórmulas de copago y coseguro, así como sistemas de prestación de servicios basados en el valor; en elámbito social, se ha constatado que los altos costos compartidos dificultan el acceso a la atención médica y muchos ciudadanos están insuficientemente asegurados; en cuanto a la gestión, se destaca la necesidad de gestionar centralizadamente al paciente para aumentar la eficiencia; por último, a nivel médico, el ACA ha tenido un impacto positivo en el tratamiento yla prevención de diversas enfermedades. Olanrewaju","doi":"10.25115/sae.v42i1.9532","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.25115/sae.v42i1.9532","url":null,"abstract":"In this article, we proposed a novel convex penalized regression-type estimator, termed Olanrewaju-Olanrewaju penalized regression-type estimator, denoted by  Lo-oλγ(|θ|) for ultra and high-dimensional data consideration whenever the number of covariates (p) is strictly greater than the sample size(n⁡). The newly proposed penalized estimator was formulated via the unique combination of arctangent and hyperbolic functions. It was noted that the newly proposed estimator could efficiently work under the constraint p<n formulated for, and as well as for the conventional regression methods of n>p. The proposed convex penalized regression-type estimator was formulated via three symmetric distributional noises of Gaussian, Laplace, and Normal Inverse Gaussian (NIG), considered being the three certified symmetric distributions that belong to the exponential family of distributions. The regularity axioms and oracle properties of the newly proposed penalized estimator were worked-out, as well as the parameter estimation for the penalized regression-type estimator for the three symmetric noises via canonical expressible form of Generalized Linear Models (GLMs) and first-order Karush-Kuhn-Tucker (KKT) condition. The Lo-oλγ(|θ|)  regression-type estimator was subjected to simulation studies of well-generated symmetric observations. The US Longley macroeconomic dataset with the constraint p<n was fitted to Lo-oλγ(|θ|) regression-type estimator under the umbrella of three symmetric distributional noises. The measures was the relationship between advertising pressure in terms of GRP's and notoriety be spontaneous or suggested recall, which was supposed to be translated into sales later, but the consumer needed to have the product available on the shelf. Retain sales are controlled at brand/item level but ads are usually linked to brands. Sinergetics through a model used to explain the Formation of Public Opinion offers a platform to link group attractiveness by TV investment with product sales. We checked it for a narrow market as the colas reversing the reasoning. If the system forecast two groups of opinion that we assimilate to sales how much of the TV advertising expenditure can be correlated.
