La educación STEM es una estrategia que abarca las diferentes disciplinas de la investigación científica relacionada con las áreas del conocimiento declaradas por la Organización para la Cooperación y el Desarrollo Económico OCDE y enfoca sus esfuerzos en preparar a los profesionales del mañana, los cuales se encargaran de aportar la transferencia de conocimiento necesaria para los campos de acción futuros que se posicionan dentro de la llamada industria 4.0. En este trabajo se describe el desarrollo de un sistema sensor prototipo creado para el análisis y el control de humedad del suelo. Este prototipo está conformado con una red de sensores que dará soporte al administración del jardín botánico. Se obtuvo la evaluación de las variables obtenidas y así mismo, el planteamiento de estrategias con respecto a la disminución del desperdicio del recurso hídrico, todo esto enfocado al uso del Internet de las Cosas (IoT). For the development of the study, two materials whose properties vary with respect to temperature (Bi0.4Sb1.6Te3 and Cu11NiSb4S13) and a material with constant properties (Bi2Te3) were analyzed. Through numerical simulation processes, each material was subjected to different temperature differences to monitor the effect on the electrical output power, heat flux, and energy conversion efficiency. The results showed that neglecting the temperature dependence produces higher or lower performance estimations depending on the temperature levels experienced by the TEG.  Overall, the material Bi2Te3 displayed 35% more electrical power output and conversion efficiency compared to the Bi0.4Sb1.6Te3 material. Therefore, considering the variability of thermoelectric materials demonstrated to be essential to obtain realistic process performance. Also, the heat flux produced by the Fourier effect presents the most significant impact on the electrical power generation of the TEG. Among materials with variable properties, the Bi0.4Sb1.6Te3 increases the conversion efficiency up to 25% compared to the Cu11NiSb4S13. Considering itself, a green technology by not causing a negative impact on the environment. In this work, the effect of US pretreatment (40KHz/130W/30°C /10, 20 and 30 min) on convective drying at 60°C / 2m / s of banana (musa paradisiaca) was evaluated. A diffusion model was used to describe the drying kinetics and to quantify the influence of the US on the effective diffusivity of water. Observing that the US significantly increased (p> 0.05) the drying speed in all the samples treated with an average reduction of 31% in the drying time with respect to the control treatment; reaching a weight loss of 77% with respect to the initial weight (3.8 to 0.9 g.). For this study, a three-phase induction motor was used, in which the stator current and voltage signals were measured. By calculating the total harmonic distortion and using the Stockwell Transform, different characteristics were obtained in the electrical signals that allowed defining fault conditions in the bearing, classification of the type of fault, and the location of the defective bearing (fan side or load side). By calculating the difference between the total harmonic distortion of the current and voltage signal, it is possible to identify a threshold value of 0.004 that separates a healthy condition and a fault condition. The joint use of the Stockwell Transform and the Fisher Scoring Algorithm allows us to classify the fault conditions with an average precision of 92.5%. The location of a bearing with defects on the load side generates a greater amplitude in the signal compared to those located on the fan side. This behavior allows establishing a threshold value of 1.6 for ball faults and 0.001 for cage faults and outer race. Para obtener la dinámica de cada una de las variables en el domo, se utilizó el software de calderas. Se realizaron diferentes perturbaciones en modo manual para recolectar datos y posteriormente ajustarlos a un modelo dinámico. Con las funciones ajustadas, se propuso una estrategia de control multivariable MIMO 2x2, que se validó con el criterio de ganancia relativa procediendo a la metodología de desacople. Los parámetros de cada controlador fueron sintonizados por el método BLT para sistemas multivariables y validados con el criterio de estabilidad de Nyquist. Se simuló el sistema 2x2 en el software Control Station con los controladores en automático y se realizaron perturbaciones tipo escalón para observar la influencia que tiene cada parámetro del controlador PID en el tiempo de respuesta, oscilación y offset de las variables controladas y su reflejo en las demás variables. Con el criterio de overshoot y rise time se volvió a sintonizar cada parámetro. Para garantizar que la dinámica en el domo se mantenga controlada, se realizó perturbaciones para servo control y control regulador obteniendo resultados satisfactorios para cada sistema. The capture plan model was validated with data from the Colombian power plant \"Termocentro\" at 300MWe. It is concluded that participant’s concept storytelling as the art of telling a story and a didactic resource associated with approaches, the development of skills, useful to analyse the development of discoveries in engineers, its actors, its application in scientific advances and its contribution to innovation and community development.
