Stating that the main migration causes were of a military-political and economic nature, the author analyzes the events that make up the migration history of the Armenian people in the New and Modern times from a legal point of view. The author pays special attention to the repatriation institution in the context of the “Armenian dispersion” history, including in the Soviet period (the second half of the 1940s – early 1950s). The history of the Armenian resettlement to Russia and the formation of the Armenian Diaspora here is reconstructed in close connection with the analysis of such Russian historical plots fundamental to the fate of Armenia as the wars for Transcaucasia, Russia’s patronage of the same-religion people and its resettlement policy, the work of Russian diplomacy in Transcaucasia in the 19th century, the Armenian Genocide of 1915, etc. The author considers the relationship between Armenians and their neighbors in the region who profess Islam to be the key plot of the study. The author attempts to identify the main causes of the centuries-old tragic conflict between Armenians and Azerbaijanis, while the author places that conflict in a migration historical context.","PeriodicalId":209501,"journal":{"name":"RSUH/RGGU Bulletin. The main recent events held at the university are disclosed in a meaningful way. In particular, the authors consider many aspects of the work of the International Russian-Belarusian Center for Interregional Cooperation in education, science and culture (established in 2019) the prime objectives of which are both to enhance the links between residents of the Republic of Belarus and compatriots in Russia and to develop cultural and language dialogue. The authors pay some special attention to the international scientific and practical humanitarian conferences, in which representatives of the scientific community of the Union State take part as well as to the international festivals that attract youth artistic performance teams from Russia and Belarus. The article also deals with the issue of such specific forms of patriotic education as the implementation of the optional course “University Studies” and the work of the Museum of the Russian-Belarusian University. And last but not least the authors mention university sports events as a separate area of patriotic education. Finally, the authors reveal the significance of the volunteer and construction teams movements as an instrument of patriotic education traditionally used by the Russian-Belarusian University.","PeriodicalId":209501,"journal":{"name":"RSUH/RGGU Bulletin. In the section on joint economic projects, the author focuses on cooperation in energy and high-tech industries, as well as Russian investments in the economy of Tajikistan. A special place in the article is given to the analysis of the formation of the Central Eurasian macro-region and the prospects for the participation of Russia and Tajikistan in that process. According to the author, Russian-Tajikistani cooperation in Central Eurasia can not only bring tangible economic benefits to Moscow and Dushanbe, but also effectively promote the integration of Central and South Asian states as a whole. In the author’s view it would be economically feasible to create an extensive network of the transit and communication development corridors, known as “East-West” and “NorthSouth”, on the vast and resource-rich territory of Central Eurasia, which would help solve the communication issue that is very acute for many Eurasian states. Humanitarian cooperation is widely understood by the author as cooperation in the field of science, education and culture, as well as in the field of ensuring security for the human, society and state. In such a context, he examines Russia’s involvement in the resolution of the inter-Tajik conflict in detail and also highlights cooperation between Russia and Tajikistan in the fight against international crime, especially drug trafficking and illegal migration, including within the framework of the Commonwealth of Independent States","PeriodicalId":209501,"journal":{"name":"RSUH/RGGU Bulletin. It is confirmed by the presence of a high percentage of domestic violence, forced marriages, differences in labor and financial opportunities etc. The gender relations of Muslims in different countries have many similarities, because they were formed on the basis of Islam. The reasons for the differences lie in the historical and cultural peculiarities of various countries, in the national mentality and especially in the current legislation. In order to identify the key factors determining the specifics of Muslim gender relations, it is important to study them in different conditions, using the example of countries belonging to different geographical regions and having significant economic and cultural differences. The present deals in Ukraine and Uzbekistan, because the situation of Muslims in those countries is different (Uzbekistan is a predominantly Muslim country, while in Ukraine followers of Islam are a religious minority; geographically Uzbekistan is surrounded by predominantly Muslim countries, Ukraine – Christian; in addition, in the post-Soviet period of their development, those countries have chosen different ways of political and economic development). Meanwhile the gender relations of Muslims there are similar in many ways. That “paradox” is due, on the one hand, to the influence of the same religious norms and, on the other hand, to the action of secular legislation, which ensures overall gender balance without taking into account religious affiliation. In Ukraine, gender issues are not as acute as in Uzbekistan, which has yet to work extensively on regulating gender relations.","PeriodicalId":209501,"journal":{"name":"RSUH/RGGU Bulletin. The author emphasizes that the presence of Russian troops on the territory of military operations made it possible for Georgia to consider Russia not only as intermediary, but also as a conflict participant, which the Georgian party sought to use to resolve the Abkhazian problem according to its own scenario. The Georgian leadership relied mainly on obtaining technical and military assistance from Moscow. The diplomatic aspect was no less significant for Tbilisi: it was necessary to neutralize Russia, whose leadership had a poor conception of the actual situation in the conflict area. The article presents the Moscow mediation mission analysis and evaluation, which were implemented by the author taking into account Russian priorities in the region and, first of all, the desire of the Russian Federation to maintain its influence on the Caucasian states. The author came to the conclusion that Russia played the role of an interested mediator in the conflict between Georgia and Abkhazia, whose efforts were aimed at preserving national positions in Transcaucasia","PeriodicalId":209501,"journal":{"name":"RSUH/RGGU Bulletin. The author analyses mutual interests that necessitated rapprochement and constructive interaction between Russia and Azerbaijan in the energy sector, trying to identify factors that led to the Russian Federation becoming one of the main investor states in the Azerbaijani energy sector. Particular attention is paid to Russia’s participation in the “Treaty of the Century”, the analysis of common interests on the northern route and the disagreements between the two states in that area. The author also focuses on the Russian attitude towards the implementation of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline project, providing for the export of Azerbaijani oil to the West, and on the Southern Gas Corridor, providing for the transportation of Azerbaijani gas to Europe. The author concludes that with regards to regional energy projects there is rather high probability of conflict of interests between the two countries and the history of energy cooperation between Russia and the Republic of Azerbaijan shows that on several occasions the countries were on the verge of such conflict. However, it was mitigated because the longterm economic interest of Russia and Azerbaijan in each other turned out to be more important than the potential benefits of regional energy projects.","PeriodicalId":209501,"journal":{"name":"RSUH/RGGU Bulletin.
