Methodology: This descriptive cross-sectional study included 275 students who were selected simply randomly. The survey was conducted from June to August 2021 in six junior high schools in Bima. Data collection used a questionnaire. Data analysis used univariate analysis for frequency distribution and bivariate analysis using the Chi Square test. Results: Most of the respondents were 12-13 years old. The number of male participants is more than female. Most of the study sample lived in rural areas (52.7%) and the higher percentage had received counseling on prevention of drug abuse (64.4%). Participants prefered health workers as implementers of preventive interventions to others (57.5%). Chi square test showed that the variables sex, place of residence, method and place of counseling had p<0.05. Conclusion: Gender, place of residence, method and place of counseling correlated with teenager preference toward health workers in implementing drug abuse prevention in health promotion.","PeriodicalId":20844,"journal":{"name":"Rawal Medical Journal","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135709805","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Methodology: An evaluation of the nurse midwives' infection control precautions in the maternal surgical wards of the Al-Najaf Al-Shraf City Hospitals was done using a descriptive cross-sectional approach. The study was carried out between November 1st, 2021, and March 13th, 2022. The frequency, percentages, mean, and SD of the data were all analyzed using the 25th version of SPSS. Results: Most of the nurse midwives' subgroups were those with ages ranging between 20-30 years (62%); those who are secondary midwifery school (60%); those that who lived in urban areas (91%) and those who are married (68%). Hand Hygiene and Gowns or Aprons showed moderate and Personal Protective Equipment, Prevention of sharp injuries, Contamination with blood/ body fluids, Waste Management and Environment has poor control mesures. Conclusion: Majority of midwives working in maternal wards, curettage rooms, and delivery rooms had fewer than 10 years of experience. Overall infection control precautions practice was poor.","PeriodicalId":20844,"journal":{"name":"Rawal Medical Journal","volume":"80 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135357384","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Methodology: The sequence variations were T2 FSE FAT SAT and T2 MEDIC. The effect of the sequence on the quality of the MRI ankle image was analyzed on the image of one patient and the sound intensity value through a sound level meter. Result: Data analysis was carried out quantitatively with the Region of Interest (ROI) method directly on the computer image of the MRI, then SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) and CNR (Contras to Noise Ratio) analysis were carried out, and PSNR and MSE analysis was carried out through digital image processing to determine the value magnitudes. The highest SNR and CNR were found in the T2 MEDIC sequence. The lowest acoustic noise value is in the T2 MEDIC sequence. The differences in the physical mechanism of image formation are T2 FSE FAT SAT refocusing 180º RF and T2 MEDIC refocusing gradient fields. Conclusion: Because the SNR and CNR on T2 MEDIC are higher and the value of the sound intensity level is low, it can be said that the sequence provides optimal results and low acoustic noise.","PeriodicalId":20844,"journal":{"name":"Rawal Medical Journal","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135357385","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Methodology: This cross-sectional retrospective study included short-stature children due to growth hormone deficiency (GHD) referred to Endocrine Gland and Diabetes Center at Al-Rusafa district, Baghdad from June 2017 to June 2018. The collected data includes weight, height, gender, age, nutritional status and BMI-SDS (body mass index-standard deviation score). The BMI SDS was divided in three categories: underweight, normal weight, and overweight. Height was divided in three categories based on height standard deviation score (HSDS) for age and gender, very low height, low height, and middle height. Age was divided into childhood onset and adolescent onset. Results: Out of 280 patients with IGHD, the baseline BMI SDS was mainly underweighted (88.9%), then normal (9.6 %) and (1.4%) overweight patients. Childhood-onset were 142 (50.7%), most of them underweight (96.47 %), while 138 (49.3%) patients were in adolescents and most of them was underweight (81%). The relationship between gender and BMI showed high prevalence of being underweight in males (n=142) than in females (n=102). Conclusion: Association between the baseline BMI and height was significant.
