Numerical analysis on GFRP samples with and without delaminations having same stacking sequence and eight layers were done using ANSYS mechanical APDL software. The agricultural industries are one of the cost demanding fields placing a requirement on skilled laborers for harvesting. To meet the demands, robots are employed to harvest which mandates the need for accurate fruit detection system. The robot has to scan the image and recognize the fruit, which is the crucial process as the recognition system faces unprecedented challenges like occlusion, deformation, illumination conditions. The objective of this work is to build an accurate and reliable fruit recognition system by addressing these challenges in image recognition. Convolutional neural network, a deep learning algorithm is used to identify the features of an image and classify the image in the fruit recognition system. The system is evaluated with Fruit-360 dataset consisting of 43329 images of 60 different categories. After the chemical processing using water on the suitable materials, the residual solutions contains the contaminations that create pollution to the environment. Hence, nowadays it is made compulsory to treat the waste water to be suitable for mixing in the water bodies. Based on this context, in this work, it is decided to study on the waste water collected from the domestic washing machines and the textile chemical processing industries by utilizing the natural source filters. Water distribution analysis and design is one of the challenging aspects in civil engineering which involves looping system of water distribution with extreme level of bursting pressure like lower than the atmosphere or much heavier pressure beyond the surge level due to differential elevations. The two major constraints that directly involved in major distributions are effective diameter of the pipe and permissible level of pressure at each nodal links/demand points. The paper deals with the planning of water distribution network through combined gravity and pumping looping system of network and satisfies the overall demand at each nodal point in and around the study area. The study area chosen is Pattanam rural area of Coimbatore district, Tamil Nadu. The population of the study area is 10,020. The present scenario in the study area is the presence of 9 overhead water tanks with average capacity of 40,000 litres. The feasibility of integrating the main supply with a single tank for the study area is checked. With the data obtained from field survey and data collection, a spatially bound model is created using ArcView GIS software. The output of ArcView model is then interchanged to EPANET input file with the help of interchange tool. This model is then imported in EPANET software. Keeping the flow and demand as a major factor and optimum diameter and pressure as constraints, a network is generated in EPANET software package. The output model from EPANET is checked for accuracy with manual calculation that is carried out using Hazen-William’s chart as well as with the field scenario. An integrated water distribution network model is thus suggested for the study area. The various tanks in the study area account for more head loss as well as more maintenance as many of the tanks are located to serve undeserved areas. Thus, a new tank location is identified foreseeing the further population expansion of the study area. The existing pipe line is maintained the same to the maximum extent except for some increase in diameter of pipes in the main line. In biomedical applications, like the ECG detector for implantable cardiac pacemaker systems, area and power consumption plays a major role. Thus in this paper, an area-efficient ECG detector with folded pipelined FIR filter is proposed. In conventional wavelet filter bank structure, the decimated wavelet filter bank used makes use of 3 LPFs and 1 HPF of pipelined architecture. This pipelined filter structure requires more hardware. Thus in the proposed architecture folding transformation technique has been applied to the pipelined filter structure in order to reduce the hardware. The decimated wavelet filter bank consisting of the filter structures followed by down samplers is used to denoise the ECG signal. The QRS complex detector consisting of a comparator, counter and a threshold block is used to find the correct location of the QRS complex. In order to further reduce the number of registers that occurs as a result of the folding transformation, folding transformation with register minimization technique is applied to the pipelined filter that results in less hardware utilization. The proposed technique is implemented using Xilinx System Generator. Thus a total area of 22.78 is saved using the proposed method.
