This paper is aimed at using video treatment to track particle position as well as evaluate separated material purity in an inclined-plane electrostatic separator. The technique is applied to a 50%–50% binary mixture of polyamide (PA) of blue color and polycarbonate (PC) of orange color. Based on image treatment, each color can define the particle position, allowing a fast mapping of global particles’ distribution. The obtained results have allowed not only particle tracking but also estimation of the purity of recovered materials based on particle counting on both sides of the separator. The calculated purity rates are in good agreement with the measured values.","PeriodicalId":206584,"journal":{"name":"2022 2nd International Conference on Advanced Electrical Engineering (ICAEE)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128094825","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this work, a multi-objective heuristic technique namely the grasshopper optimization algorithm (MOGOA), is proposed in order to be used in a robust welding current and arc voltage control with a fractional order proportional integral-derivative (FOPID) controller with integer filter. The problem of setting the FFOPID parameters has been transformed into an optimization problem with an objective function based on time domain and solved with MOGOA. The proposed approach has been applied to a GMAW process. The performance of the newly designed FFOPID structure (GOAFFOPID) based on the proposed GOA was compared with the GA and PSO algorithms. The superiority, potential and robustness of the proposed approach were verified through nonlinear simulation study and some dynamic performance indexes.","PeriodicalId":206584,"journal":{"name":"2022 2nd International Conference on Advanced Electrical Engineering (ICAEE)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131842514","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The present paper aims to study the behavior of composite insulators under high voltage direct current. An experimental setup has been used to study the applied voltage and leakage current wave-forms in the presence of partial discharge, and the obtained waveforms are presented and discussed. The ratio between voltage and leakage current values illustrates the dynamic behavior of composite insulator with voltage variation. To illustrate that the dynamic behavior is not limited to magnitude, an insulator time ratio is proposed consists in dividing current peak time to the voltage one. This ratio illustrates the capacitive behavior of composite insulators under overvoltages.","PeriodicalId":206584,"journal":{"name":"2022 2nd International Conference on Advanced Electrical Engineering (ICAEE)","volume":"193 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132240039","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Several approaches have been suggested to exploit well log data. In this view, this paper presents a wavelet leader-based multifractal analysis (WL), applied to velocity log data measured at two scientific deep boreholes: the pilot well (KTB-VB) and the ultra-deep main well (KTB-HB), to study the local behavior and the invariant scale properties of the investigated data. The suggested approach allows distinguishing different lithology types based on the wavelet leaders. First, local regularity profiles have been computed using the Peltier and Lévy-Véhél (PLV) algorithm from the different velocity logs, and a lithological segmentation has been carried out. Then, a multifractal analysis has been carried out on velocity logs using the WL algorithm. A clear correlation is shown between lithology and multifractal properties extracted from the investigated logs, specifically significant values singularity spectrum width $( Delta h)$ correspond to the local filled fractures. To conclude, the singularity spectrum may then serve as a tool for characterizing subsurface heterogeneity and identifying a zone of macro- and micro-fractures.","PeriodicalId":206584,"journal":{"name":"2022 2nd International Conference on Advanced Electrical Engineering (ICAEE)","volume":"111 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134266104","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Under these conditions, the use of vector control technique under its conventional form to regulate the DC-bus voltage will confront some troubles relative to negative sequence apparition. The main reason for these issues is that the line currents present a dangerous transient value during the period of voltage drop considered. Therefore, an enhanced form of vector control must be applied in order to cover both positive and negative sequences characterizing the unbalanced system voltages. The effectiveness and ability of the proposed control scheme have been verified by both simulation and experimental results.","PeriodicalId":206584,"journal":{"name":"2022 2nd International Conference on Advanced Electrical Engineering (ICAEE)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115564432","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The computed Rayleigh wave velocity (Vsaw) agreed well with theoretical and experimental data. With the increasing of electrode thickness from 0.09 μm to 0.21 μm, Rayleigh mode resonance frequency decreases from 2.46 GHz to 1.78 GHz. Both quality factors (Q) and frequency response (S11) of resonators will increase sharply with the increase of the Pt(w, exhibiting 9% and 202% improvement respectively. After that, we study the influence of scandium dopant Sc(x) on the admittance (Y11), the quality factor (Q) and the frequency response (S11). The resonance frequency and quality factor (Q) decreased as the concentration of Scandium Sc(x) increased from zero to 37.5 %, whereas the parameter S11 improved by - 12.12 dB at a concentration of 25% scandium. The results show that by combining electric loading of metallic electrodes with a high scandium doping concentration Sc(x), a high-performance SAW resonator may be achieved. The intended impact is: on one hand, to extract the correct rain rate contained by these images and on the other hand, to increase the performance of these types of remote sensing devices. This is to automatically identify cloud masses, characterize them and predict their evolution over the time. To analyze this phenomenon, we used 512 x512 pixels radar images taken in the region of Setif in eastern Algeria. Our study consists of eliminating parasite echoes resulting from the ground in particular due to the mountain surrounding the radar, by using textural parameters. For every type of echoes we calculate the parameters of Unser into a 5 $times $ 5 pixels window by sweeping the entire image. Then we present the histograms of these parameters and determine the discrimination thresholds for each one of them. The simulations results obtained from the local homogeneity, the variance of the differences, the entropy, the entropy of the sums, the entropy of the differences, the energy, the energy of the sums and the energy of the differences are very satisfactory with a probability of difference factor greater than 95%. We have found that the most dominant textural parameters are the Energy of differences and Variance of the sum as the major part of the ground echoes have been successfully removed without altering the precipitation echoes. The reason is that for these two parameters, the probability of difference factor was over 98%, which is better that the rest of the parameters.","PeriodicalId":206584,"journal":{"name":"2022 2nd International Conference on Advanced Electrical Engineering (ICAEE)","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117075931","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
