Then combined effect of SRS and XPM induced crosstalk in the system performance is investigated. It is found that SRS dominates at lower modulation frequency with large channel spacing while XPM at higher modulation frequency and lower channel spacing. BER performance is also mentioned in presence of SRS and XPM crosstalk for per wavelength channel capacity of 10 Gb/s. A method is proposed giving emphasis on the identification of the characters using the proposed methodology. Here generalization is achieved by preprocessing the characters before presenting them to the system for classification. The pre-processing systematically functions isolating the characters from BMP images, as well as noise removal, scaling and binary image conversion. The method uses a flexible matching between sample data and training data components applying Multi-layered Feed-forward Artificial Neural Network. A number of parameters of Neural Network are estimated so that the system performance is improved in comparison with normal training. Classification of character is defined as error minimization among the possible training set. Also, a measure of the amount of distortion for this training is given. Character recognition is the process to classify the input character according to the predefined character class. Fuzzy logic has proved to be a powerful tool to represent imprecise and irregular patterns. The most tedious job associated with fuzzy logic is the extraction of meaningful features. This paper describes a method to efficiently detect the meaningful fuzzy features including global features, geometric features and positional features from handwritten Bangla character respectively. In this paper, we present a fully automated approach that can detect and localize these organs from retinal fundus image effectively. For vessel detection, we have adopted an exploratory tracing algorithm that has employed directional templates to trace the vessels. After that, we have employed a novel method that utilizes circular matched filter to compute cross-correlation to detect and localize the optic disk and fovea accurately. Since the circular matched filter cross-correlates with a pre-computed ROI, it reduces the computational cost for matching significantly. The proposed method dynamically approximates the diameter of optic disk and fovea regions, and eventually approximates the shapes of these organs as well. In this paper, the performances are studied through the bit-error-rate as a function of signal-to-noise ratio as well as signal-to-interference power ratio using computer simulation exploiting realistic channel model (i.e. modified Saleh-Valenzuela (S-V) model). Several modifications of a generic Gaussian pulse waveform with a length in the order of nanoseconds were used to generate UWB spectra. The expression is much simplified compared to previous research. The SINR performance in uplink channels with frequency-selective Rayleigh fading is shown by computer simulation. It is assumed that the proposed system suffers single path fading. Numerical results indicate that the system performs better than that of the conventional DS-CDMA system. The antennas were fabricated on silicon wafer and the excitation was applied horizontally. Simulation of the test structure has been carried out using ANSOFT High Frequency Structure Simulation (HFSS) program employing the three dimensional finite element methods. A simple analytical model is also developed, using ground reflection (two ray) model to predict the gain in various thicknesses of silicon substrate. As such, there has been an increased need for defining and developing simulation software for carrying out simulation of NoC architectures. In this paper, we present gpNoCsim, a Java based general-purpose network simulator for NoC, which is built upon the object-oriented modular design of the NoC architecture components. Here we demonstrate the use of our proposed simulator by simulating several existing well-known architectures. We have also provided the guidelines on how to simulate future architectures. Empirical mode decomposition (EMD) is employed for multi-band representation of speech signal in time domain. The fundamental oscillation in a speech segment is determined in the autocorrelation function (ACF) of the EMD space. A damped cosine model is fitted using least squared method to extract the frequency of the fundamental oscillation. The mean fractional energy contributed by the oscillations with pitch period in different ACFs is used as the factor to classify a speech segment as V/UV.
