It is descriptive research where the chosen database and its visualizations are presented. The analyzed period was from January 2009 to March 2022. Microsoft Excel software was used for data processing and Microsoft Power BI software was used for developing the dashboards. The objective was to use the data to create visualizations capable of instigating improvements in public security policies. Some dashboards were generated and grouped by subjects including, for instance, occurrences of domestic violence. As a result, it was possible to generate information to support decision-making and improve security policies.","PeriodicalId":202934,"journal":{"name":"Revista Latinoamericana Y Del Caribe De La Associacion De Sistemas De Informacion","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126145721","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The prevalence of the socio-psychological approach to alienation has led to the emergence of “victimism” or supremacism in society, phenomena that reinforce a tradition of emphasis on the role of the structure in defending the individual against external forces. Adopting a specific perspective for alienation of agency, i.e., the extent to which an individual is free to act and is responsible for her/his actions, this study discusses what happens when someone chooses to terminate her/his participation in a large SNP. This theoretical-empirical manuscript is grounded on the author’s phenomenological experience and his subjective perceptions regarding being out of the WhatsApp network (nowadays, the main SNP instance in the world). The findings offer initial evidence to validate the proposed IT artifact lifecycle conceptual model and suggest the metaphor \"digital near-death experience” (DNDE) as suitable for characterizing the feelings of near-death experience in digital spacetime. Theoretical implications and a research agenda are also proposed.","PeriodicalId":202934,"journal":{"name":"Revista Latinoamericana Y Del Caribe De La Associacion De Sistemas De Informacion","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127524630","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aims to understand how SMEs in the food industry use social media platforms to increase the sales potential of their businesses. The analysis was performed from exploratory case studies, and the study objects were four SMEs in the food industry. Data collection allowed us to analyze how SMEs developed – or not – a strategy for the use of social networks and the resulting impacts. From the results, it can be concluded the importance of the elaboration and implementation of a strategy for the use of social networks on the growth of sales.","PeriodicalId":202934,"journal":{"name":"Revista Latinoamericana Y Del Caribe De La Associacion De Sistemas De Informacion","volume":"84 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126262249","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This theoretical essay proposes a discussion about the possibilities of using Action Research and its variations in SC studies as an alternative for promoting participation thinking in defining urban strategies and solutions. The ability of citizens to communicate with each other, agencies, and groups that represent them provides a new sense of urgency and enables SCs to be based on smart communities. Some actions are needed to convert participation into citizens' ability to influence public decisions. Civic Hacking, Participatory Action Research, Action Research with Proposed Models, and Frameworks are some examples of applications in SCs. Working collaboratively with others can generate community, organizational, and individual change. Action research should be seen as a long-term cooperative commitment, where research will not produce solutions but provide tools for collective action.","PeriodicalId":202934,"journal":{"name":"Revista Latinoamericana Y Del Caribe De La Associacion De Sistemas De Informacion","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131553388","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this sense, several supervisors have formulated regulations around cybersecurity, with a particular emphasis on banks and their challenges but not much on the Stockbrokers (SBK) entities that are the subject of this research work. Although one of the most common methodologies is the simulation of offensive (red team) and defensive (blue team) security, purple teams are emerging as an alternative that enables a broader spectrum of learning and analysis for companies, particularly SBKs This article details a methodological guide for the design and implementation of a purple team in SBKs in order to strengthen cybersecurity governance in the face of contemporary cyber threats.","PeriodicalId":202934,"journal":{"name":"Revista Latinoamericana Y Del Caribe De La Associacion De Sistemas De Informacion","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123872415","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research considers the framework proposed by Yang and Maxwell as a theoretical lens, which indicates three perspectives that can influence public organizations in information sharing: (1) managerial and organizational; (2) technological and (3) political. The method consisted of a single case study carried out at the Department of Command and Integrated Control (DCIC) of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, in Brazil. The data were collected through interviews, document analysis and participant observation. The article points out facilitators and barriers to security information sharing and integration among different public agencies. Legislation, long-term policies, and clear workflows are factors identified as positively influencing the integration of information.
