However, manual method based on visual inspection for diagnosis and time-series assessments of changes in MS lesions is not re-producible and quantitative. Also, it is subjective and yields in inter-/intra-observer variabilities. Furthermore, the conventional method is time-consuming and mostly urgent results are required in practice. Therefore, in the literature, automated techniques have been proposed to detect and segment MS lesions and also to evaluate changes in these lesions quantitatively. In this paper, these automated approaches are presented for the radiologists, neurologists and researchers who are interested in this subject or want to improve former works or want to develop novel automated methods to overcome the problems in this active research area.","PeriodicalId":201903,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Computer Science and Engineering (UBMK)","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134538961","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many researchers use some performance metrics in their classification studies to report their success. However, the literature has shown a widespread confusion about the terminology and ignorance of the fundamental aspects behind metrics. This paper clarifies the confusing terminology, suggests formal rules to distinguish between measures and metrics for the first time, and proposes a new comprehensive visualized roadmap in a leveled structure for 22 measures and 22 metrics for exploring binary classification performance. Additionally, we introduced novel concepts such as canonical notation, duality, and complementation for measures/metrics, and suggested two new canonical base measures simplifying equations. It is expected that the study will guide other studies to have standardized approach to performance metrics for machine learning based solutions.","PeriodicalId":201903,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Computer Science and Engineering (UBMK)","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133699069","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These systems, which are used by meteorology in our country, can be both difficult and costly for individual use. Smart weather stations are being developed that can be used individually in order to get rid of such problems. In this study, a smart weather station has realized for the monitoring of weather conditions when changing during the day. The data that received from the temperature, humidity, pressure and rain sensors in the air station, are processed by an Arduino-based processor and then estimated weather information has been given to users. The study results have been compared with results obtained from meteorology and the results have been seen to be close to each other.","PeriodicalId":201903,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Computer Science and Engineering (UBMK)","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122618493","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the classic compilation process for operating system kernel, all features, that the embedded system supports, need to be included in the source code. The kernel of the operating system must be recompiled for each software development process which considers related information about these features. In systems that have hundreds of different features, this process is time consuming and causes high cost as expected. Use of Device Tree data structure for the specification of physical components in embedded systems may facilitate this software development process since the kernel of the operating system is compiled just once in case of applying a development process based on this data structure. In this study, a methodology for the development of embedded software with using the Device Tree structure is introduced. New methodology is compared with existing software development approach and a preliminary evaluation is performed with taking into account pros and cons of applying this new methodology.","PeriodicalId":201903,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Computer Science and Engineering (UBMK)","volume":"78 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123027512","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In addition, one remote control is required for each robot. The goal of this work is to control multi robots at the same time by publish a single ROS message using one Android device. The user can drive robots with help of a variety of sensors and camera data which are displayed on the Android device screen, even if the user is visually disconnected from all robots. The biggest difference of this application from similar applications is that two different robots can be driven at the same time. With this feature, many multi robot tasks can be performed. Also robots have different driving strategies. This feature allows drive robots on different surfaces. Another powerful aspect of the work is the usage of ROS. Thanks to ROS, it is ensured that processes such as data communication protocols, process scheduling, etc. are implemented easily and efficiently. Furthermore, this work developed for Android. This feature facilitates the spread of the application.","PeriodicalId":201903,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Computer Science and Engineering (UBMK)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128765592","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
