There are a lot of challenges in the efforts to develop so-called \"hi-tech agriculture\" and smart farming in the Republic of Serbia. This research is conducted on the territory of the Nisava district in three municipalities: Merošina, Gadžin Han and Niš. The obtained data were statistically processed and presented through tables and charts. Agricultural advisors play an important role in the digital literacy of agricultural producers on their pace to implement in practice principles of hi-tech agriculture. The most important is the funding of permanent education of advisers, as well agricultural producers to acquire the state of art knowledge and experience needed to become more competitive in the EU and global market.","PeriodicalId":201477,"journal":{"name":"Ekonomika poljoprivrede","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130030520","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main goal of the study was to determine the opinions and attitudes of agricultural advisors on climate change. Attitudes were measured using 16 statements which summarize three composite indicators (awareness of anthropogenic causes and consequences, mitigation responsibility, and indifference and defeatism towards climate change). Results of the research show that the respondents are relatively aware of the anthropogenic impact on climate change, as well as wider consequences of climate change on society and the environment (MKIs = 3.83). On average, respondents expressed strongest agreement with statements about political and civic responsibility in climate change mitigation (MKIo = 4.06). Most agricultural advisors perceive climate change as dangerous for the stability of domestic farming, and as many as 92.4% of respondents believe that farmers do not have the necessary knowledge to successfully deal with the risks of climate change in their own production.","PeriodicalId":201477,"journal":{"name":"Ekonomika poljoprivrede","volume":"63 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134017181","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The global growth of tourism demand in rural areas has conditioned the accelerated development of rural tourism, and thus the growing interest of the academic community in this tourism specialism. In this regard, the paper aims to provide insight into recent trends in rural tourism literature and examine the intellectual structure of this discipline. A detailed review of relevant literature published in the Web of Science (WoS) tourism journals and the application of evaluative bibliometric analysis identified the predominant interests of authors and dominant research niches, the most common research regions, the most frequently used research methods, papers that had the highest impact on modelling scientific thought within the subject area, the most productive and influential journals, as well as the authors who have left the most profound trace in the analyzed discipline in the past ten years. It is expected that the paper stimulates academic discussion on the relatively steady interest of researchers and the need for further and more dynamic intellectual development in the field of rural tourism.","PeriodicalId":201477,"journal":{"name":"Ekonomika poljoprivrede","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130436663","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Today the activities related to wine production are on the rise, as is the number of wineries, and they participate in the valorization of wine tourism activities as an important Serbian tourist product. The aim of this paper is to assess the business excellence of wine producers in Serbia via the application of BEX model while establishing a correlation with the data on the promotion of wine tourism activities on the analyzed wineries' websites. The attained research results indicate a decrease in the BEX index in 2018 in comparison with the values from 2017 and are within the parameters for good values. However, there is no correlation between the performance of wineries and the promotion of wine tourism on their websites.","PeriodicalId":201477,"journal":{"name":"Ekonomika poljoprivrede","volume":"106 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128016674","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The survey included 50 papers, most of which are published in major energy journals, to ensure the high-quality review. This literature review includes period, countries, methodology and research results. Also, the survey included policy recommendation for renewable energy policymakers depending on results obtained by authors. In the Republic of Serbia, the state is responsible for the regulating of organized and permanent performance and the development of activities of general interest. In Serbia, the state ensures performing this activity through public companies or capital companies of which it is the sole founder, but it is possible to allow performing the aforementioned activities by entrusting them to a third party. The author conducted a survey related to the necessary conditions for performing activities of general interest by entrusting to a third party a few dozen of economic entities in Serbia. The author considers that, with fulfillment of prescribed conditions, the successful performing activities of general interest can be carried out by privately owned economic entities, since state-owned enterprises have proved to be insufficiently efficient and economical in practice.","PeriodicalId":201477,"journal":{"name":"Ekonomika poljoprivrede","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128984009","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The paper is in line with the hypothesis that market price for storable agricultural products has empirically confirmed bottom limit. If the market price reaches the level of operating costs, farmers will stop the sales and store their product in anticipation of a higher price in the near future. This behavior is based on the premise that a supply shortage will stop further decline in wheat price. The analyzed ratios of market price to total costs and market price to operating costs allow the direct comparison of production profitability at different time periods without the need to eliminate inflation effects. The results of the analysis indicate a very strong correlation between operating cost and market price of wheat, compared to positive and to certain extent less significant correlation between total cost of production and market price. The first indicator, characterized by lower variability, thus, allows distinct forecast of the future wheat price behavior and timely decision on the appropriate price risk hedging strategy.","PeriodicalId":201477,"journal":{"name":"Ekonomika poljoprivrede","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114982819","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We used the Living Standard Measurement Survey data set and applied production frontier models to generate production efficiency scores for migrant and non-migrant farm households. Using simple ANOVA and stochastic dominance analysis we test the hypothesis of a negative migrant remittances effect on production efficiency. The mean production efficiency for migrants was higher and statistically significant at p<0.05. We also find a higher technical efficiency across all percentiles for migrant households. Though access to remittances played an important role in the improvement of farmer’s production efficiency, it may not be sufficient as there were observed crosses at some points of the stochastic dominance efficiency curves for migrant and non-migrant households that suggests some possible trade-offs.","PeriodicalId":201477,"journal":{"name":"Ekonomika poljoprivrede","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129958606","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of this research was to investigate the public perception of CSR and their opinions regard the effect of new technologies in food production, with emphasize on genetically modified food (GMF). Empirical research was conducted in Vojvodina, as the region of Serbia, where food production is a dominant industry. The results showed that respondents mostly identify CSR with company’s responsibility and moral obligation to society, especially for food production companies and recognize GMF as not offering benefits and unsafe. The trust in key actors is missing. In this regard, CSR awareness campaigns needs to be strengthened.","PeriodicalId":201477,"journal":{"name":"Ekonomika poljoprivrede","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126366521","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
