Heavy metal ions present in drinking water and foods have remained a challenge, as the technology to thoroughly remove such heavy metal ions has remained on a higher side of the cost. Nonetheless, the effect of heavy metals on the health of humans taking contaminated water and foods has remained a constant silent threat. The results are almost certainly fatal with many instances a victim hardly knows the cause, as there is no immediate effect after their consumption. This research focused on evaluating the binding efficiency, spectroscopic characterization and extent of sorption. The study investigated the removal of lead, by pectin extract from orange peel wastes. The centrifuge-assisted pectin extract was chemically and spectrometrically characterized, for molecular conformity. The sorption of heavy metal depended on the mass of pectin, pH, and contact time. Uptake was rapid with equilibrium reached after 60 minutes with high removal of lead solution at pH 5 with efficiency of 71.0 %. The national geographical school solves problems that are relevant both in physical geography and oceanology: the study of the interaction of the components of nature, and the identification and description of natural territorial complexes of regional and local scales. Successful integrated study, development and protection of natural resources of the coastal zone and the shelf of the World Ocean require the use of analytical oceanological and integrated geographic research methods.","PeriodicalId":201245,"journal":{"name":"SCIREA Journal of Environment","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122038040","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The results showed that the comprehensive recovery percentages for metals could reach up to 86% to 95% with the process described in this paper. The average recovery percentages for Cr and Ni were about 90%. The experimental research results have been applied to engineering, and good results have been achieved. Based on mineralogical phase components of heavy metals and separation mechanisms, technological characteristics and influencing factors of the process were analyzed, and techniques for debugging are described herein. All the results should provide a good reference for widespread applications of the process.","PeriodicalId":201245,"journal":{"name":"SCIREA Journal of Environment","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116301887","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Corrosion inhibitor is one of the most commonly used protection measures in oil and gas wells and gathering and transportation systems, which has the advantages of low investment, quick effect, simple equipment, and easy operation, and basically does not change the properties of related metal components and media. This paper studies the addition of a corrosion inhibitor (CPI-W) whose main component is fatty acid imidazoline to 8 representative simulated gas field waters, and then determines the COD value change range and the law of gas field wastewater, and selects three representative ones. The effective water treatment oxidant degrades the CPI-W corrosion inhibitor (concentration 1000ppm) in 8 kinds of gas field water. The results show that with the increase of CPI-W dosage, COD values of 8 kinds of gsd field water all increase rapidly.
