One of the common techniques of the attack is Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS). A DDoS attack happens when the attacker is sending a huge amount of network requests to the connected host from many different sources. The attack can cause the network service disrupted and cannot be used due to overwhelmed machine that tried to serve the request from many sources. The impact of the attack can cause the network to be unavailable and can lead to user dissatisfaction. Therefore, the detection of DDoS is needed for maintaining the influx of network services and preventing the flooding of unwanted traffic to the host. The detection technique of a DDoS attack must distinguish between legitimate traffic and botnet traffic. The technique used for detecting the traffic that causes DDoS attacks will be using a machine learning algorithm. One of the implemented algorithms is the Random Forest technique. This study is focusing on evaluating the Random Forest implementation as the network classifier. The result of this study is determining the effectiveness and accuracy of the Random Forest Classifier. This algorithm also is compared with other algorithms. The evaluation has resulted in Random Forest Algorithm having better performance based on the variable that is related to accuracy and processing time than other compared algorithms, with a tight difference from the J48 algorithm. This study is contributing to the enhancement of machine learning implementation on DDoS attack detection and as part of cyber defense preparation for the stakeholders.","PeriodicalId":200030,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 8th International Conference on Computing, Engineering and Design (ICCED)","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125943147","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As software engineers impact society significantly, they have a duty to behave ethically in their work. Otherwise, it could cause great harm, such as the Facebook-Cambridge Analytica scandal. Although calls for reform are made after such incidents, sufficient action is not being taken in research, education and industries. Hence, this study aims to investigate the relationship between the work ethics of software engineers and their emotional intelligence (EQ), work performance and job satisfaction. Using the survey method, we collected data from 170 software engineers. Significant findings of the study are: there is a strong significant positive correlation between work ethics and work performance; a moderate positive correlation between work ethics and job satisfaction, however, EQ does not significantly moderate the relationship between work ethics and job satisfaction.","PeriodicalId":200030,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 8th International Conference on Computing, Engineering and Design (ICCED)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132154402","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, a special study is needed in accordance with various indicators of entrepreneurial success in the context of ASEAN countries. This study resulted in an instrument in the form of ASEAN Entrepreneurship Profiling which was developed through technology-based applications. Through this application, the instrument was developed to make it easier for entrepreneurs to fill out a profile so that it automatically becomes part of a self- assessment to produce a profile of the entrepreneurial condition experienced. The development of this application is based on the system architecture and system dataset as an important step in application development. The architectural system in the application is carried out in a planned manner so that the website developed does not only function technically but also has aesthetic value. While the data set in this application is needed because of the incoming respondent data, a database is needed to be a source of data that can be processed based on the entrepreneur's personal profile, based on region and based on country of origin. Processing data individually or in combination as a single unit requires the right data structure. Therefore, this study aims to develop the system architecture and application dataset of ASEAN Entrepreneurship Profiling. The research method used is a combination of survey methods and prototype methods to be able to present architectural systems and datasets that are both appropriate and attractive. The survey was conducted to calibrate the instrument to be used. The result of the research is that the instrument produces 16 valid items which are used as the basis for system development and an overview of the system architecture and dataset of the ASEAN Entrepreneurship Profiling application.","PeriodicalId":200030,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 8th International Conference on Computing, Engineering and Design (ICCED)","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123148063","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This type of society is defined as \"a human-centered society that balances economic advancement with the resolution of social problems by a system that highly integrates cyberspace and physical space\". For the past couple of years, educational institutions have been using online video conferences for remote learning due to the coronavirus pandemic. This type of learning has some benefits such as convenience and flexibility. However, conversely, it is more isolating and discomforting for some. Additionally, remote online learning has been proposed to be the future of education, which might be disappointing to some students. Development in the metaverse and its hardware might be the solution for a better learning experience. This technology is also aligned with Society 5.0 as cyberspace will integrate more closely with physical space. The student would be able to feel as if they were in an actual classroom using the metaverse, which can be accessed by 3D Virtual World Applications. They would be able to see their peers and hear more of their peers to feel less isolated.","PeriodicalId":200030,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 8th International Conference on Computing, Engineering and Design (ICCED)","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115006078","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, heart sound signal (also referred to as Phonocardiography) offersunique and reliable advantages to infer emotions. As one of thephysiological parameters, heart signals may infer emotions andcan be used for emotion recognition. In addition, the use of heartsound signals for emotion recognition is substantially cheaper,and the process of acquiring the signal for heart sound analysis iscomfortable as compared to physiological measures.Nevertheless, the use of Phonocardiography (PCG) in the emotionrecognition domain is still scarce in the research literature. Therefore, this work conducts a review on affective computing ingeneral and discusses how emotions are described and thecommon procedure used to elicit emotion. We also highlight howfar the PCG has been used in the domain of affective computing.Finally, we propose the framework and methodology to develophuman emotion recognition using heart sound signals.","PeriodicalId":200030,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 8th International Conference on Computing, Engineering and Design (ICCED)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125013903","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
