Abstract
Lightweight concrete is the choice used for building structural components so that a dead load of a building becomes lighter. In Indonesia, there are tree branches and cigarette butts in abundance. Therefore, it is necessary to use it as an innovative product, so this research is important to aim to utilize tree branches and cigarette butt foam waste for lightweight concrete mixture as a substitute for coarse aggregate. This research is using experimental method. This lightweight concrete experiment uses sand, water, cement, and gravel, where the gravel will be replaced using foam from cigarette butts and tree branches. The gravel replacement experiment consists of 3 proportions, and each proportion will be made a test object Testing the compressive strength of concrete and the specific gravity of concrete refers to the SNI for concrete. The compressive strength test of concrete is carried out for quality measurement, while weighing is carried out as a standard for measuring the density of lightweight concrete. This research resulted in lightweight concrete innovation using cigarette butts and tree branches as a substitute for gravel with a concrete compressive strength and specific gravity according to the SNI standard on non-structural concrete requirements for buildings. Furthermore, the results of this study are expected to be used by precast concrete producers and can be used by the general public, to manage cigarette butts and tree branch waste as business activities that can improve the community's economy.
