Desain acak lengkap disusun sebagai pola faktorial 4x3 digunakan di seluruh percobaan. Setiap unit percobaan diulang tiga kali. Faktor pertama terdiri dari berbagai dosis POC yaitu D0: tidak ada penambahan POC, D1: 25 kg N/ha, D2: 50 kg N/ha, D3: 75 kg N/ha, masing-masing setara dengan 800, 1600, 2400 ml POC/tanaman. Faktor kedua adalah waktu aplikasi POC terdiri dari M1, M2 dan M3 berturut-turut selama 7, 28 hari setelah tanam (HST) dan pada saat berbunga. Parameter yang diamati meliputi jumlah daun, klorofil daun tanaman, jumlah dan bobot buah segar. Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis dengan menggunakan ANOVA dan Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) digunakan untuk analisis lebih lanjut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh interaksi yang signifikan dari tingkat perlakuan POC yang berbeda dan waktu aplikasi POC terutama pada bobot buah segar. Dosis POC 1600 ml/tanaman meningkatkan jumlah buah. Perlakuan kombinasi 2400 ml/tanaman dan 7 HST meningkatkan kualitas fisik tanaman terung hijau. Problems arise is a relatively long time to be able to enjoy the flowers. Split technique is an alternative that produces special orchids especially of Dendrobium type with the same properties as its mother in a relatively short time. The research was conducted in July-September 2017 in screenhouse, Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences, Diponegoro University. This study aimed to know the interaction between type of nitrogen fertilizer and place of planting to vegetative growth of split Dendrobium sp. This study used Split Plot Design of Complete Randomized Design scheme with ten replications. The main plot was place of planting : T1 = attached to the coconut fiber then hung and T2 = grown in pot (coconut fiber) and subplot was the type of fertilizer: P1 = POC goat + Azolla microphylla, and P2 = Synthetic fertilizer. The variables observed were plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, number of roots, and number of buds per plant. Data were analyzed by analysis of variance followed by LSD test at 5% level. The results showed that hook planting places significantly increased plant height and stem diameter. Synthetic fertilizer significantly increased plant height and number of leaves.There was interaction between nitrogen fertilizer and place of planting to stem diameter on vegetative growth results of split Dendrobium (Dendrobium sp.). Keywords: Dendrobium sp., nitrogen fertilizer, place of planting ABSTRAK  Anggrek merupakan tanaman hias yang hidup di alam bebas secara epifit, dimanfaatkan sisi visualnya terutama dari bentuk dan warna bunga. Masalah yang timbul adalah waktunya yang relatif lama untuk berbunga. Teknik split merupakan alternatif yang menghasilkan anggrek khususnya jenis Dendrobium dengan sifat sama seperti induknya dalam waktu yang relatif singkat. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Juli-September 2017 di screen house, Departemen Pertanian, Fakultas Peternakan dan Pertanian, Universitas Diponegoro. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh interaksi jenis pupuk dan tempat tanam terhadap pertumbuhan vegetatif hasil split Dendrobium sp. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Petak Terbagi (Split Plot) skema RAL dengan 10 kali ulangan. Petak utama (main plot) adalah tempat tanam: T1 = dilekatkan pada serabut kelapa kemudian digantung dan T2 = ditanam dalam pot (serabut kelapa) dan anak petak (sub plot) adalah jenis pupuk: P1 = POC kotoran kambing+Azolla microphylla, dan P2 = pupuk sintetis. Variabel yang diamati antara lain adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, diameter batang, jumlah akar, dan jumlah tunas per tanaman. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan ANOVA dan dilanjutkan dengan uji BNT (Beda Nyata Terkecil) pada taraf 5%. This research was conducted in green house and Laboratory of Plant Physiology and Breeding UNDIP, and Laboratory of Micology UGM from April 16th to August 15th 2017. The research was assigned in completely randomized factorial design with the first factor was the phosphate fertilization control, Triple Super Phosphate (TSP) and rock phosphate (BP) and second factor was without vesicular-arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (MVA) inoculation and with vesicular-arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (MVA) inoculation. The results showed that TSP fertilizationhad significant effect onplant height, number of pods, weight of pods, weight of seed and total P content of soil. Fertilization of BP had significant effect onnumber of pods, weight of pods, weight of seed, total P content of soil and total P of peanut hay. Penelitian dilakukan pada tanggal 16 April – 15 Agustus 2017 di green house dan Laboratorium Fisiologi dan Pemuliaan Tanaman UNDIP, serta Laboratorium Mikologi UGM. Penelitian disusun dengan rancangan acak lengkap faktorial dengan faktor pertama adalah kontrol, pemupukan Triple Super Phosphate (TSP), Batuan Fosfat (BP) dan faktor kedua adalah tanpa inokulasi cendawan MVA dan dengan inokulasi cendawan MVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan pemupukan TSP berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah polong, bobot polong, bobot biji dan kadar P total tanah. Pemupukan BP berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah polong, bobot polong, bobot biji, kadar P total tanah dan kandungan P jerami tanaman kacang tanah. Penelitian menggunakan Pooled Design dengan perlakuan naungan : N1 (naungan 30%), N2 (naungan 50%), N3 (naungan 70%), serta cara pengaplikasian paklobutrazol : P0 (kontrol), P1 (disemprotkan pada akar), P2 (disemprotkan pada daun), P3 (disemprotkan pada akar dan daun), diulang sebanyak 3 kali. Parameter yang diamati meliputi tinggi tanaman, diameter batang, klorofil total, dan waktu inisiasi bunga anggrek. Data dianalisis ragam dan uji lanjut dengan BNT pada taraf α = 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa naungan 50% berpengaruh pada tinggi tanaman (26,97 cm) dan diameter batang (1,57 cm), naungan 70% juga berpengaruh terhadap tinggi tanaman anggrek (29,30 cm) dan klorofil total (0,55 mg/g). Paklobutrazol tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap tinggi tanaman dan diameter batang. Paklobutrazol hanya berpengaruh terhadap kandungan klorofil total. Interaksi antara perlakuan naungan 70% dan pemberian paklobutrazol pada daun, menunjukkan kadar klorofil tertingi sebesar 0,71 mg/g. Faktor pemberian naungan dan paklobutrazol tidak mempengaruhi pembungaan anggrek, tapi inisiasi bunga mulai terlihat di beberapa tanaman. Waktu inisiasi bunga terjadi saat hari ke 71 – 126 setelah perlakuan. Semua inisiasi bunga tidak dapat berkembang menjadi rangkaian bunga. Kata kunci: anggrek, paklobutrazol, naungan, pertumbuhan, pembungaan. ABSTRACT  The research aimed to examine the appropriate shade types and target of paclobutrazol giving for growth and flowering of Dendrobium sp. The research used Pooled Design with shade treatment: N1 (30% shade), N2 (50% shade), N3 (70% shade), treatment of paclobutrazol application: P0 (control), P1 (sprayed on roots), P2 (sprayed on leaf), P3 (sprayed on roots and leaf), replicated three times. Parameters measured were plant height, stem diameter, total chlorophyll, and the initiation time of orchid flowers. Data analyzed with anova and followed by LSD at α = 5%. The results showed that 50% shade affect plant height (26.97 cm) and stem diameter (1.57 cm), the 70% shade also affect plant height (29.30 cm) and total chlorophyll (0.55 mg/g). Paclobutrazol has no effect on plant height and stem diameter. Paclobutrazol only affect the total chlorophyll content. The interaction between the shade treatment of 70% and the application of paclobutrazol in leaves, showed the highest total chlorophyll content of 0.71 mg/g. Shading and paclobutrazol factors do not affect the flowering of orchids, but the flower initiation begins to be seen in some plants. The initiation time of flower occurs at days 71 to 126 after treatment. All flowers initiation didn’t develop into a flower arrangement. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap pola faktorial 4x3 dengan faktor pertama jenis pupuk P1: Urin kelinci, P2: Urin sapi, P3: Bio extrim, P4: Biofarm dan faktor kedua interval waktu pemberian pupuk T1: 5 hari sekali, T2: 10 hari sekali, T3: 15 hari sekali. Masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis ragam (ANOVA) dan dilanjut dengan uji Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT)taraf 5%. Parameter yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah buah per tanaman, dan berat buah per tanaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pupuk Bio extrim memberikan hasil tertinggi pada semua parameter dan diikuti oleh pupuk urin kelinci. Interval waktu pemberian pupuk 5 hari sekali dapat meningkatkan tinggi tanaman cabai rawit. Kata kunci: cabai rawit, pupuk organik cair, interval waktu pemberian ABSTRACT  This research aims to determine the suitable type of liquidorganic fertilizers and the corrected application to maximize the growth and productions of cayenne pepper.This experiment used a completely randomized factorial design 4x3 with 3 replications. The first factor was the types of fertilizers P1: Rabbit urine, P2: Cow urine, P3: Bio extrim, P4: Biofarm and the second factor was the interval of fertilizer application T1: 5 days, T2: 10 days, T3: 15 days. The data analysis used analysis of variance (ANOVA) and continued with Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) of 5%. The parameters of the observation were the height of plants, number of leaves, number of fruits, and weight of fruit per plant. The result shows that Bio extrim gave the highest result in all parameters and than followed by rabbit urine. The interval of 5 days fertilizer gave the best result on the parameters of plant’s height. The research was carried out on Klaten Watermelon Clay, located in Genukan Village, Wedi Sub-district, Klaten District, and at the Laboratory Chemistry and Food Nutrition Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences, Diponegoro University from February to May 2017. The research was arranged using completely randomized factorial design with the first factor being shoot pruning time (P1 = no trimming, P2 = 3rd week, P3 = 6th week, P4 = 3rd and 6th week) and the second factor was the rest of the fruit after thinning (Q1 = without thinning, Q2 = thinning leaves 1 piece, Q3 = thinning leaves 2 pieces). The results showed the treatment of pruning of shoots and the remaining fruit after spacing did not affect the growth plant height and number of leaves watermelon until 8th week. However pruning of shoots 3rd week and 6th week can affect fruit diameter, fresh fruit weight, and fruit sugar levels. Treatment of the remaining fruit after the spacing is pruned 2 pieces affect the diameter of fruit and fresh weight of fruit while the rest of the fruit after spacing is purned 1 pieces fruit affect the fruit sugar levels. Keywords: watermelon, pruning, thinning, production ABSTRAK  Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan dan hasil produksi tanaman buah semangka melalui perlakuan waktupemangkasan pada pucuk dan jumlah sisa buah setelah penjarangan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada di lahan Sahabat Semangka Klaten, yang terletak di Desa Genukan, Kecamatan Wedi, Kabupaten Klaten, dan di Laboratorium Kimia dan Gizi Pangan Fakultas Peternakan dan Pertanian Universitas Diponegorodari bulan Juli - September2017. Penelitian disusun menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap factorial dengan faktor pertama adalah waktu pemangkasan pucuk (P1 = tanpa pemangkasan, P2 = minggu ke 3, P3 = minggu ke 6, P4 = minggu ke 3 dan 6) danfaktor kedua adalah sisa buah setelah penjarangan (Q1 = tanpa penjarangan, Q2 = penjarangan disisakan 1 buah, Q3 = penjarangan disisakan 2 buah). Hasil penelitian menunjukan perlakuan pemangkasan pucuk dan sisa buah setelah penjarangan tidak mempengaruhi pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman dan jumlah daun semangka sampai minggu ke 8. Namun pemangkasan pemangkasan pucuk minggu ke 3 dan 6 mempengaruhi diameter buah, bobot segar buah, dan kadar gula buah. The purpose of the research was to evaluate the effect of sodium azide mutagen on soybean variety Dering 1 at saline and non-saline soil. The research was arranged in Factorial Design based on Completely Randomized Design with 2 factors. The first factor was doses of Sodium Azide consisted of 0 mM, 0.05 mM, 0.1 mM, 0.2 mM, dan 0.4 mM, 0.8 mM, 1.6 mM, 3.2 mM, 6.4 mM, 12.8 mM, and 25.6 mM. The second factor was salinity levels consisted of 0 dS/m, 2 dS/m and 5 dS/m. Parameters measured were plant height, number of leaves, number of pods, weight of pod, number of seeds, and weight of seeds per plant on M1 generation. Result showed that lethal dosage (LD) 50 was obtained at 0,663 mM. Sodium azide mutagent caused diversity of plant height, number of leaves at saline and non-saline soil. There was 10 plants and 3 plants that was classified as tolerant and most tolerant at saline soil (2 dS/m) respectively. Keywords : soybean, sodium azide, saline soil ABSTRAK  Mutasi adalah salah satu cara pemuliaan tanaman untuk memperluas kergaman genetik. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh mutagen sodium azida terhadap kedelai varietas Dering 1 pada tanah salin dan non-salin. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan di greenhouse adalah Percobaan Faktorial dengan dasar Rancangan Acak Lengkap yang terdiri dari 2 faktor. Faktor pertama adalah dosis mutagen kimia Sodium Azide (SA) yang terdiri dari 11 taraf perlakuan yaitu 0 mM, 0,05 mM, 0,1 mM, 0,2 mM, dan 0,4 mM, 0,8 mM, 1,6 mM, 3,2 mM, 6,4 mM, 12,8 mM, 25,6 mM. Faktor kedua adalah tingkat salinitas yaitu 0 dS/m, 2 dS/m dan 5 dS/m. Parameter yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah polong, berat polong, jumlah biji, dan berat biji per tanaman pada generasi M1. Hasil penlitian menunjukkan bahwa dosis letal median (LD50) diperoleh pada 0,663 mM. Mutagen sodium azida menyebabkan keragaman tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun pada tanah salin dan non-salin. Terdapat 10 tanaman dan 3 tanaman yang masing-masing tergolong tahan dan sangat tahan pada tanah salin (2 dS/m). Penelitian telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei – Agustus 2017 di Lahan Percobaan dan Laboratorium Ekologi dan Produksi Tanaman, Fakultas Peternakan dan Pertanian, Universitas Diponegoro, Semarang. Penelitianmenggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) Faktorial 2 x 5 dengan 3 ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah dosis pupuk yaitu D1 : 50 kg P/ha dan D2 : 100 kg P/ha. Faktor kedua adalah jenis pupuk yaitu J0 : SP-36, J1 : bioslurry, J2 : kotoran sapi, J3 : kotoran kambing dan J4 : kotoran ayam. Parameter yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah polong total dan bobot 100 biji. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis ragam dan apabila terdapat pengaruh nyata dilanjutkan dengan Uji Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis pupuk kotoran kambing mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman kedelai paling tinggi dibandingkan dengan pupuk kotoran ayam, kotoran sapi, bioslurry dan SP-36 dengan dosis pupuk 50 kg P/ha. Kata kunci : kedelai, pupuk organik, pupuk SP-36.ABSTRACT The research aimed was to study the interaction between dosages and kinds of organic fertilizer on growth and yield of soybean. The research was conducted in May - August 2017 at Experimental Field and Ecology and Plant Production Laboratory, Faculty of Animal and Agriculture, Diponegoro University, Semarang. The research design used completely randomized design with factorial design 2 x 5 with 3 replications. The first factor were organic fertilizer dosages D1 : 50 kg P/ha and D2 : 100 kg P/ha. The second factors were kind of organic fertilizers J0 : SP-36, J1 : bioslurry, J2 : cow manure, J3 : goat manure, and J4 : chicken manure. The parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, total number of pod, and 100 seeds weight. Data analyzed using analysis of variance and using Duncan Multiple Ranged Test on alpha 5%. The result showed that the goat manure fertilizer can increase the growth and production of soybean plant is highest compared with chicken manure, cow manure, bioslurry and SP-36 with dosage of 50 kg P/ha. The study was conducted in Mendongan Village, Sumowono District, Semarang Regency, Central Java.  ABSTRACT  This study aimed to examine the effect of giberalin concentration and duration of irradiation on the growth and yield of chrysanthemum (Chrysanthemum morifolium) cut flowers. The study took place in February - June 2018. The study was conducted in Mendongan Village, Sumowono District, Semarang Regency, Central Java. The design used in the study was a Completely Randomized Factorial 4x4 Design. The first factor was gibberallin treatment consisted of G1: GA 0 ppm, G2: GA 10 ppm, G3: GA 20 ppm, G4: GA 30 ppm. The second factor was the irradiation time consisted of R1: 1 hour irradiation time, R2: 2 hours irradiation time, R3: 3 hours irradiation time, and R4: 4 hours irradiation time. Parameters observed were plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, leaf area, number of flowers, flower diameter, flowering age and flower harvesting age.The results showed that the treatment of giberalin concentration significantly affected the parameters of the amount of interest. While the irradiation treatment time significantly affected the parameters of plant height, number of leaves, flower diameter, stem diameter, age of flowering, and leaf area. Keywords: Giberalin, Chrysanthemum, Irradiation Period ABSTRAK  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh konsentrasi ZPT giberalin dan lama penyinaran terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil bunga potong tanaman krisan (Chrysanthemum morifolium). Penelitian berlangsung pada bulan Februari - Juni 2018. Penelitian dilakukan di Desa Mendongan, Kecamatan Sumowono, Kabupaten Semarang, Jawa Tengah. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah Percobaan Faktorial 4x4 Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Faktor pertama yaitu perlakuan giberalin sebanyak 4 taraf yaitu G1 : GA 0 ppm, G2 : GA 10 ppm, G3 : GA 20 ppm, G4 : GA 30 ppm. Faktor kedua adalah lama penyinaran dengan 4 taraf yaitu R1 : lama penyinaran 1 jam, R2 : lama penyinaran 2 jam, R3 : lama penyinaran 3 jam, dan R4 : lama penyinaran 4 jam. Parameter yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, diameter batang, jumlah daun, luas daun, jumlah bunga, diameter bunga, umur berbunga dan umur panen bunga. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi giberalin berpengaruh nyata terhadap peningkatan jumlah bunga yang bertambah banyak. Sedangkan lama penyinaran berpengaruh nyata terhadap peningkatan tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, diameter bunga, diameter batang, umur berbunga, dan luas daun.
