If left unchecked, the potential of dyslexic children will be hampered because reading is a basic human ability. Therefore, in this study, researchers designed a learning media design that makes it easier for dyslexic children to recognize hijaiyah letters. The research method used is R&D using the ADDIE development model. The study that the researchers conducted was limited to the development of design, so the purpose of this study was to provide an overview of the design of multisensory mirror book media. The design is developed with a printed book-based that will maximize the function of the senses of sight and touch. Dyslexic children will be invited to learn while playing by reflecting hijaiyah letters on concrete objects found in everyday life. In their learning, they were also invited to play by attaching glitter to hijaiyah stickers and then touching them. His motor function was tested by rewriting hijaiyah letters and then checking the correctness of the writing using a mirror. In the future, the design developed by researchers can continue to be refined to help dyslexic children learn hijaiyah letters to make it easier and more fun.","PeriodicalId":198227,"journal":{"name":"Abjadia : International Journal of Education","volume":" 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139142242","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Fathia Izzati, known as \"kittendust,\" is a YouTube content creator with 695,000 subscribers. In her YouTube account, Fathia uploads videos related to English language learning terms in daily life, often incorporating slang words. This research aims to comprehend the meanings and processes of word formation in slang used by Fathia Izzati in her videos. The research methodology is descriptive qualitative, referencing George Yule's (2010) theories on slang word formation processes. Data were obtained from 15 videos uploaded by Fathia Izzati between November 2021 and December 2022. The findings reveal that out of Yule's ten slang and word formation theories, only five are reflected in the analyzed videos. Blending emerges as the most common method for creating new words, constituting 39.24% of all new terms. Other prevalent methods include doubling (34.18%) and halving (18.99%). Clipping accounts for 5.06%, while acronyms are the least common, comprising only 2.53%. This research provides insights into the use of slang by Fathia Izzati within the context of English language learning on YouTube.","PeriodicalId":198227,"journal":{"name":"Abjadia : International Journal of Education","volume":"368 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139172164","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, the study delves into the utilization of Imla' in recording Quranic verses or Hadiths, extending beyond its conventional role in writing skills. The findings reveal that Imla', when integrated into the memorization process, triggers cognitive recording as the teacher recites, mirroring the stages of general Imla'. Success in this method is gauged through fluency, accuracy, and the time required for memorization. While offering advantages such as expedited memorization, the research also acknowledges limitations, emphasizing the need for careful consideration of its suitability across diverse groups and ages. The study's implications underscore the nuanced application of Imla' in educational settings, urging educators to weigh the method's benefits and drawbacks. This Generation, shaped by rapid technological advancements, particularly embraces social media as a pivotal digital platform. This research aims to investigate whether Generation Z prioritizes Society 5.0 ideals or emphasizes religious knowledge within the constraints of pesantren, where social media use is restricted. Employing a quantitative survey design with purposive sampling, the study included 100 respondents, conducting a comparative analysis between public school and pesantren students. The findings, presented through tables and graphs, underscore Generation Z's open-mindedness and their inclination towards socializing through social media to connect with their community. Public school students perceive social media as beneficial, acknowledging its negative impacts. Conversely, pesantren students prioritize religious education for their future. Despite limited social media access, they express a desire to utilize it to stay informed about technological developments in Society 5.0. The results indicate that 80% of Generation considers social media indispensable, irrespective of their educational setting. This study provides valuable insights for students, parents, and educational practitioners, highlighting the intricate relationship between Generation Z, social media, and its multifaceted impacts on their future. It suggests the need for a balanced approach in addressing the diverse needs and preferences of this Generation in different educational environments.","PeriodicalId":198227,"journal":{"name":"Abjadia : International Journal of Education","volume":"611 ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139202892","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
