Its typical activities cover research and development, feasibility studies, engineering designs, plant operations, and improving plant performances. The goal of this research is to analyze “Chemical Engineering Special Needs” by combining mapping analysis and the VOSviewer app. The Publish or Perish app is also used to support and find articles that are relevant to keywords used for searching. Thus, \"Chemical Engineering” and “Special Needs\" were used as the keywords for this study. There are 800 relevant articles published between 2018 and 2022, based on the search results. The number of publications on \"Chemical Engineering Special Needs\" has declined, according to the research findings, notably in 2021. This study should aid researchers in conducting and deciding on a research topic regarding the correlation between special needs and chemical engineering.","PeriodicalId":197783,"journal":{"name":"Indonesian Journal of Community and Special Needs Education","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116983114","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We used qualitative research methods. The subjects in this study were families and students with special needs (students with visual impairment, hearing impairment, intellectual disabilities, physical impairment, and Down syndrome) in one of the special schools in Indonesia. The results showed that most families fully gave up the responsibility for providing science education to school teachers. In addition, they thought that learning science is very complicated because it relates to formulas and numbers, so they thought children with special needs unable to learn about science. Whereas science education is very broad because it deals with natural phenomenon that occurs in everyday life. Students with special needs learned easily through the habituation process.","PeriodicalId":197783,"journal":{"name":"Indonesian Journal of Community and Special Needs Education","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131581224","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A simple random sampling technique was used to select 30 students for the study. The sample participants consist of 15 male and 15 female students. All selected samples were subjected to experimental. The quasi-experimental research design was used in the study. Beck’s Depressive Behavior Inventory (BDI) was administered to assess depressive behaviour before and after the intervention with a 0.85 reliability coefficient. Rational emotive behaviour psychotherapy (REBP) was employed as the treatment for the experimental group. t-test statistical tools using (SPSS) were used to test the 3 hypotheses formulated. The result revealed that REBP was significantly effective in depressive behaviour; the difference in the depressive behaviour was significant for Gender but not for age. Because of these findings, the study recommended that students should be trained on the effective usage of this intervention in REBP. Experts in educational counselling psychologists should intensify their effort to organize seminars/conferences on the implications of this intervention.","PeriodicalId":197783,"journal":{"name":"Indonesian Journal of Community and Special Needs Education","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121261783","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research is field research conducted at SLB-B Negeri Cicendo Bandung, the oldest deaf school in Indonesia, located in Bandung. This research was conducted by observing the activities of students in the classroom and in-depth interviews with their teachers; this was done to initiate discussions about various aspects of their education. Problems with language and speech mastery, teaching methods, students' dialectical relationships with technology, and experiences of stigma are used to bring out their life experiences. The study underscores the need to develop and improve the ability to master spoken and spoken language and academic content development. This will increase the access of deaf students to a wide range of disciplines and allow them to go beyond the basic level of attainment.","PeriodicalId":197783,"journal":{"name":"Indonesian Journal of Community and Special Needs Education","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116959274","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
