Scheduled traffic corresponds to high priority traffic whereas random traffic corresponds to best effort traffic. Indeed, in such networks, optical signals propagate over long distances without any electrical regeneration. Thus, noise and signal distortions accumulate along the physical path. Since these impairments continue to degrade the signal quality as it progresses toward its destination, the lightpaths' Quality of Transmission (QoT) might become potentially unacceptable. This constraint along with the wavelength continuity constraint imposed by WDM transparent networks might have a severe consequence on the performance of transparent optical networks especially in terms of rejection ratio. In this paper, we propose to apply traffic rerouting concept for network with QoT constraints provisioned with set-up delay tolerance in order to investigate further improvement in network performances under differentiated services. Through simulation results, we confirm that traffic rerouting concept and set-up delay tolerance are an efficient way to improve the performances of WDM transparent networks in terms of rejection ratio and service disruption period incurred by rerouting.","PeriodicalId":197301,"journal":{"name":"2017 IEEE/ACS 14th International Conference on Computer Systems and Applications (AICCSA)","volume":"124 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115226362","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Cloud computing is proving to be the key to achieve these goals. This technology allows to meet the organizations requirements and to benefit from virtually unlimited resources. However, the migration of information systems from the organization to a cloud environment is not trivial and requires considerable effort. The organization must follow a comprehensive process to ensure the migration of its information system. An exhaustive analysis and planning is required to ensure successful migration. Different cloud migration processes are proposed. However, we notice the lack of a migration process that is based on a detailed analysis of the information system and all its components, and that takes into account all the issues encountered during the migration. For this reason, in this work we propose a methodology to assess information systems components in order to help organizations make decisions during their journey towards cloud migration.","PeriodicalId":197301,"journal":{"name":"2017 IEEE/ACS 14th International Conference on Computer Systems and Applications (AICCSA)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115788902","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, most proposed color descriptors lack the spatial information about color distribution. The majorities of proposed solutions, which incorporate spatial information to color descriptors, are pixel based approach and adopt the static quantization. To alleviate these aforementioned drawbacks, we propose a top-down descriptor called the Spatial Dominant Color Descriptor (SDCD). In the extraction of dominant colors, we adopt a dynamic quantization by Gaussian Mixture Models (GMMs). The number of dominant colors is determined automatically using the Bayesian Information Criterion (BIC). The spatial proprieties of each color are described by the dispersion factor. we adopt the penalty trio-model in order to compare images during retrieval. The experimental results prove the high effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed descriptor, through Corel database.","PeriodicalId":197301,"journal":{"name":"2017 IEEE/ACS 14th International Conference on Computer Systems and Applications (AICCSA)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115903745","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

On-chip communication architectures can have a strong impact on the performance of SoC designs. The traditional SoC interconnects, cannot keep up with the high demands of today's SoC. To address this problem, SoC makers propose new protocols to implement high performance data transfer. AMBA AXI4, is one of the widely used protocols as on-chip bus in recent Wireless Sensor Network SoCs. It includes three distinct interconnect protocols: stream, burst and lite. In this paper, we highlight the various parameters that must be taken into consideration to select the adequate interface for a given application. We analyze and compare the on-chip interfaces for hardware/software (HW/SW) communication when various code transformations are applied on the Zynq-7000 Xilinx platform. Many experiments have been conducted to evaluate the communication between the main processor and the reconfigurable hardware accelerators.","PeriodicalId":197301,"journal":{"name":"2017 IEEE/ACS 14th International Conference on Computer Systems and Applications (AICCSA)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124327841","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The extraction of the ideal characteristics having the ability to reflect the intrinsic content of the images as complete as possible is still a difficult problem in computer vision. Little research has focused on this problem. This paper presents a new unsupervised method based on the self-organizing map (SOM) for features extraction. Our method consists of two main steps: Extracting the sub-regions of an image according to their points of interest and using the SOM for the different views of an image such as color, texture and shape. Then, combine them to have finally a > vector characteristic. The proposed method is evaluated on three image classification datasets Cloud, Coil100 and CIFAR-10. The classification accuracies of the proposed method for the three datasets are much higher in comparison with the other methods cited in the literature.","PeriodicalId":197301,"journal":{"name":"2017 IEEE/ACS 14th International Conference on Computer Systems and Applications (AICCSA)","volume":"162 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114845388","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

First, we use MVA then HEQ in combination with CMVN and ARMA filtering as a post-processing module to mel frequency cepstral coefficients (MFCC), Relative Spectral-Perceptual linear prediction (RASTA-PLP) and power normalized cepstral coefficients (PNCC) features to improve the performance of the automatic speech recognition (ASR) system. The results on the Arabic database task have shown that both methods MVA and HEQ+ARMA improves the success rate for all features compared to the baseline system however HEQ was not found to perform better than MVA. The results also provide that RASTA-PLP outperforms PNCC and MFCC features.","PeriodicalId":197301,"journal":{"name":"2017 IEEE/ACS 14th International Conference on Computer Systems and Applications (AICCSA)","volume":"90 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123454639","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This aggregate-orientation is essential to running on a cluster as it avoids cross-nodes joins and writes. An important downside of the aggregate data model is that it severely limits the ways data can be efficiently explored and processed, especially as NoSQL systems are being increasingly used by complex datadriven applications, mixing heterogeneous data access patterns.Replication is ubiquitous in NoSQL systems. In this work we propose a new replication scheme termed distorted replicas. Rather than being physically identical, distorted replicas are logically identical: they restructure replicated data in different ways, but keep the fundamental property of being constructible from one another. By doing so, distorted replicas provide new ways for exploring data, while still ensuring high availability. Experiments conducted in this paper show that even basic distortion schemes allow substantial performance improvements.","PeriodicalId":197301,"journal":{"name":"2017 IEEE/ACS 14th International Conference on Computer Systems and Applications (AICCSA)","volume":"48 20","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120821441","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposal, at present stage, separates a breast among presenting benign tumor, cancer or being normal and shows how new diagnostic can be included in the data base when a number of proved case of a disease is known. The methodology begins by pre-processing images to be free of those regions that are not of interest for the work before execution of an algorithm for textural features computation, then a set of characteristics is calculated and they are ranged by machine learning classifier, that identity the clinical condition of the patient's breasts. For this classification, a Support Vector Machine (SVM) was used and trained based on already classified diagnosis from two data bases. Tests performed present accuracy above 90%, showing that the proposal is very promising.
