The sample comprises 77 employees from the Yogyakarta City Kemantren Office, the participants were chosen through probability sampling employing a simple random sampling method. Several assessments, including validity, reliability, normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, multiple linear analysis, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination, were carried out. The outcomes of the t-tests demonstrate that both human relations and work discipline variables positively and significantly influence employee performance, as evidenced by their respective t-values (2.958 and 6.940) exceeding the table t-value (1.992) at a significance level of 0.05. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination reveals an Adjusted R Square value of 0.520, indicating that 52% of the variance in employee performance can be explained by the human relations and work discipline variables. The remaining 48% of variance is attributed to other unexamined factors.","PeriodicalId":196704,"journal":{"name":"Malaysian Journal of Business, Economics and Management","volume":"21 15","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140728412","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study's main goal is to comprehend how users adopt and perceive these financial technologies. To this end, a variety of methodologies, including sentiment analysis, regression models, correlation analysis, and descriptive statistics, are used on a sample of mostly educated, young adults. The main conclusions show that online banking services are seen as having a moderate level of security, that use and security ratings are negatively correlated, and that service variety and security perceptions are positively correlated. Furthermore, despite increased knowledge, the report indicates a cautious attitude to cryptocurrency adoption. The study also emphasizes how digital banking might eventually supplant more conventional approaches, with security and user concerns playing a major role in this notion. Users' opinions on payment system enhancements seem to be a combination of indifferent and somewhat favourable. Reaching more age groups, adding options, and focusing on safety are some ideas to make online banking better. The report says it only looked at some people and services, so future work should look at more people and bigger topics. Overall, it gives banks and government helpful facts and plans to deal with digital money's chances and challenges in Bangladesh.","PeriodicalId":196704,"journal":{"name":"Malaysian Journal of Business, Economics and Management","volume":"140 18","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139453269","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, none of them took pricing on K-pop merchandise into perspective. Thus, this article attempts to answer research inquiries about the overall K-pop product market through the role of pricing. To limit the study, only two different types of K-po signature merchandising were examined in this research namely album bundles and lightsticks. Using the Van Westendorp’s model, this study tried to find out the fans’ acceptable price range. Using self-completion online surveys, this study managed to explore both items’ acceptable price ranges. Among 200 respondents, both merchandises’ acceptable price range were clustered closely to the local e-commerce’s price range rather than its official distributor/seller website. The album bundling price range were scattered between IDR 245,000 (≈USD 15.83) to IDR 375,000 (≈USD 24.23) per bundle. Meanwhile, the lightstick was around IDR 465,000 (≈USD 30.04) – IDR 700,000 (≈USD 45.23) per item.","PeriodicalId":196704,"journal":{"name":"Malaysian Journal of Business, Economics and Management","volume":"50 19","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139456350","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The analysis reveals that globalization and financial development, while initially appearing advantageous, can exacerbate income inequality over time. In Model I, the overall measure of globalization contributes to income inequality in both the short and long run. Initially, globalization may reduce income inequality, but its long-term effects are detrimental. Financial development and inflation in Indonesia also have a significant and positive impact on income inequality in this model. Model II shows that economic, political, and social globalization have statistically significant impacts on income inequality in both the short and long term. Economic and political globalization can help mitigate income inequality over time, but in the short term, income inequality in Indonesia worsens. Social globalization, on the other hand, consistently has a positive influence on income disparity in both the short and long term. The study highlights the need for proactive government measures to maintain the stability of economic, political, and social globalization. Policymakers should implement progressive policies that address the adverse effects of globalization on income distribution to ensure a more equitable society.","PeriodicalId":196704,"journal":{"name":"Malaysian Journal of Business, Economics and Management","volume":"53 5","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139395872","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Specifically, the paper sought to determine the effects of air pollution on human health in Cameroon. The study also identified the major sources of air pollution in Cameroon and assesses the effectiveness of existing air pollution control policies. The study made use of secondary data from 1980 to 2021 sourced from the National Institute of Statistics and world health organization. The research design adopted was the causal research design where the Auto Regressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model was used to analyze the data. Both pre and post-test were done to validate the results. The cumulative sum of recursive residuals (CUSUM) and the CUSUM of square (CUSUMSQ) tests to assess the parameter constancy. The long run results revealed that carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxides all have a negative and significant impact on life expectancy in Cameroon. More specifically, long run results showed that, a unit increase in CO2 emission (LCO2) will reduces life expectancy by 0.127%, a unit increase in Methane emission (LMTHNE) will reduces life expectancy by 0.203% and a unit increase in Nitrous emission (LNITE) will reduces life expectancy by 0.017%. From a policy perspective, the government should encourage the planting of trees as the planting of one tree implies planting a life.
