Isocyanates, the raw material for polyurethanes that are mass-produced and used for long periods of time, are one of the ideal core chemicals as a target for this technology. Therefore, organic carbamates, which give isocyanates through pyrolysis, are focused attention as an intermediate compound for the synthesis of isocyanates from CO 2 . In this paper, we introduce the efficient and environmentally benign synthesis methods for organic carbamates from CO 2 using regenerable metal alkoxides, such as dialkyltin dialk-oxides R 2 Sn(OR’) 2 , titanium tetraalkoxides Ti(OR’) 4 , and tetraalkyl orthosilicates Si(OR’) 4 , which we have previously reported. By using these regenerable reagents, we have achieved the synthesis of a polyurethane raw material that consumes practically only amines and CO 2 , with H 2 O as the only by-product. In particular, the reaction using Si(OMe) 4 has succeeded in highly efficient synthesis of pre-cursors of the industrially important polyurethane raw materials (MDI, TDI, and HDI) using 1 atm of CO 2 .","PeriodicalId":19666,"journal":{"name":"Oleoscience","volume":"44 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75658845","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Self-assembled monolayer (SAM) of amphiphiles results in the fabrication of inorganic film that can control adsorption/desorption behavior of bovine serum al-bumin (BSA) by light irradiation and the detection of DNA by quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) measurements. Furthermore, when zinc oxide particles are synthesized in the presence of amphiphiles, amphiphiles work as crystal growth directing agent which determine the crystal growth direction.","PeriodicalId":19666,"journal":{"name":"Oleoscience","volume":"50 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76596645","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There is a tendency to emphasize the aspect of alternative food in a food crisis. However, in addition to their basic capabilities, insects are also being studied as a miracle food that has the potential to be used as a healthy food and even as a drug discovery tool. In this ar ticle, I would like to introduce insect food from the perspective of food functionality that can improve our health.","PeriodicalId":19666,"journal":{"name":"Oleoscience","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82369476","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We focus on a crystallization of triglyceride which is main component of edible oils and fats and introduce our study of the in-situ crystallization and melting in a large synchrotron radiation facility. Due to health negative effect of triglyceride high in trans and saturated fatty acids, we are currently considering a molecular compound (MC) of triglyceride which becomes solid at room temperature despite its high oleic acid content as an alternative to it. With the aim of the MC’s industrial use, the crystallization under the rapid cooling condition assuming the manufacturing process was observed by synchrotron radiation X-ray diffraction measurement. As a result, the conditions for efficiently crystallizing MC and its forma-tion process were clarified. In addition, we introduced other cases in edible oils and fats using synchrotron radiation X-ray diffraction measurement.","PeriodicalId":19666,"journal":{"name":"Oleoscience","volume":"23 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81349940","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
